本研究の目的は,慢性呼吸器疾患患者に対するADL指導の有用性を検討することである.対象は慢性呼吸器疾患患者(12名)と高齢者(9名)で,洗濯物を干す動作を上肢挙上位と非挙上位にて行い,異なる作業方法が呼吸循環応答と自覚症へ与える影響を呼気ガス分析,Borg scaleを用いて検討した.結果,呼吸器疾患患者では分時換気量,体重あたりの酸素摂取量,Dyspnea index,上肢の疲労感において上肢挙上位が有意に高かった.一方高齢者では動作間の有意差は認められなかった.このことから呼吸器疾患の特異性が示唆され,ADL指導での工夫は有用であった.

健常男子大学生7名を対象に,呼吸運動出力の指標である気道閉塞圧(P0.1)と換気量を無負荷と1kgの重錘を把持した姿勢で比較した.その結果,上肢を挙上するとP0.1は増加するが,1回換気量は増加しなかった.このことは呼吸運動出力に見合う換気量が得られないと息切れを感知するというモデルと一致し,慢性閉塞性肺疾患患者が上肢挙上時に息切れが起こりやすいことと関連があると考えられる.

Aim: Lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)) is a low-density lipoprotein-like particle containing apolipoprotein(a) (apo(a)) that increases the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) in familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). Postprandial redistribution of apo(a) protein from Lp(a) to triglyceride-rich lipoproteins (TRLs) may also increase the atherogenicity of TRL particles. Omega-3 fatty acid (ω3FA) supplementation improves postprandial TRL metabolism in FH subjects. However, its effect on postprandial apo(a) metabolism has yet to be investigated. Methods: We carried out an 8-week open-label, randomized, crossover trial to test the effect of ω3FA supplementation (4 g/day) on postprandial apo(a) responses in FH patients following ingestion of an oral fat load. Postprandial plasma total and TRL-apo(a) concentrations were measured by liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry, and the corresponding areas under the curve (AUCs) (0-10h) were determined using the trapezium rule. Results: Compared with no ω3FA treatment, ω3FA supplementation significantly lowered the concentrations of postprandial TRL-apo(a) at 0.5 (−17.9%), 1 (−18.7%), 2 (−32.6%), and 3 h (−19.2%) (P<0.05 for all). Postprandial TRL-apo(a) AUC was significantly reduced with ω3FA by 14.8% (P<0.05). By contrast, ω3FA had no significant effect on the total AUCs of apo(a), apoC-III, and apoE (P>0.05 for all). The decrease in postprandial TRL-apo(a) AUC was significantly associated with changes in the AUC of triglycerides (r=0.600; P <0.01) and apoB-48 (r=0.616; P<0.01). Conclusions: Supplementation with ω3FA reduces postprandial TRL-apo(a) response to a fat meal in FH patients; this novel metabolic effect of ω3FA may have implications on decreasing the risk of ASCVD in patients with FH, especially in those with elevated plasma triglyceride and Lp(a) concentrations. However, the clinical implications of these metabolic findings require further evaluation in outcome or surrogate endpoint trials.
2 0 0 0 日本舞踊家初代吾妻徳穂アーカイブ作成のための調査研究
日本舞踊家初代吾妻徳穂の舞踊活動におけるアーカイブ化を目的とし、初代徳穂の「春藤会」「夫妻会」「定式舞踊研究会」「アヅマ・カブキ」「徳穂三趣の会」の公演プログラムをはじめとする文献、吾妻流関係者や舞踊界で親交のあった舞踊家や演奏者へのインタビューを行なっている。これまでの調査では、渋谷区に所在する吾妻流事務所を訪問し、保管されている過去資料の閲覧しながら、初代徳穂の義娘であり二代目吾妻徳穂の実母である吾妻花舟氏にインタビューをし、資料の収集と倉庫の整理を行なうことが、本研究の主軸であった。ここで得た情報から、その他のルートへ派生し調査の枠を広げていた。しかし、当該年度は新型コロナウイルスによる自粛と、花舟氏の高齢化と体調不良により、これまでのような調査は行えなかった現状がある。研究計画では、国内の調査と並行して、アヅマ・カブキの調査のため、米国とヨーロッパを訪問する予定であったが、それも叶わなかった。その中でも本年度は、清元梅吉氏から第1回アヅマ・カブキのインタビュー調査、明治大学教授神山氏から第2回アヅマ・カブキの資料を拝借することができた。これまでの調査では、舞踊の参加者からしか話を伺えなかったが、梅吉氏のインタビューにより、演奏者という違う立場の人物からアヅマ・カブキを知ることができた。また、神山氏の資料は、第2回アヅマ・カブキに発つ初代徳穂への激励の電報や、米国各市の市長などとのやりとりを綴ったスクラップブックであった。このスクラップブックについては、初代徳穂の親交を知る花舟氏にインタビューしながら調査を進めなければ難しいものであるため、先述の理由から進行が滞っている。令和3年度は最終年度にあたるが、まだ資料の収集と調査が足りていないように感じている。

The sound absorption coefficients and sound velocity of various powder beds were measured in the frequency range of 200Hz to 2kHz. The powder beds were comprised of classified powders having mean particle diameters from 53 to 300μm. For the powder beds consisting of smaller particles, the sound absorption coefficients showed distinct peaks due to the excitation of normal vibration modes of the powder bed. In the frequency range in which sound absorption peaks appear, the sound velocity has almost on frequency dependency, and sound energy is dissipated mainly by the interaction of vibrated particles. As particles with larger diameters were used, these peaks decreased in amplitude, but the level of sound absorption increased in the high frequency range. In this frequency range, sound velocity increases according to frequency, and sound energy is dissipated mostly by the viscosity of the air in the pores.

This article examines the Japanese government’s attitude toward the issue of “nationality of married women” in the Hague Conference for the Codification of International Law in 1930, the first diplomatic conference hosted by the League of Nations for the purpose of codification of international law. Through investigating the decision-making process on the Conference within the government, it aims at revealing the Japan’s constructive engagement in the codification project conducted by the League of Nations, which set in motion the advancement of international law during the inter-war period.It is well known that the Hague Conference marked a watershed in the history of international law. Though the achievements in the Conference were meager, it surely paved the way of setting up the current codification system in the United Nations, particularly the establishment of the International Law Commission. Seldom discussed and little known is how Japan responded to this major development in the field of international law. While some preceding literatures have elucidated the passive, or sometimes hostile, stance of Japan toward enhancement of laws of war, they have yet to show a complete picture of the Japanese view on international law at that time since they do not sufficiently address the issues of laws of peace with which the Hague Conference was mainly concerned.Probably, no issues discussed in The Hague attracted attention and received publicity more than nationality of married women. One of the reasons was that it touched the heart of the tension between the concept of family unity and gender equality. At the time of 1930, while most countries still adhered to the old principle that wife follows the nationality of husband in case of international marriage, some national legislations had discarded it and allowed an alien woman who married their national to retain her original nationality if she wished so. It was against this background that the Hague Conference attempted to reconcile the difference between legislations in nationality of married women by means of multilateral convention.While Japan still maintained the old principle in its nationality law based on the traditional family values, it took a somewhat flexible stance in The Hague. Interestingly enough, Tokyo instructed its delegation to the Conference that if a consensus emerged among states, they could go along with the proposed article, which granted a married woman the right to choose not to acquire husband’s nationality. These findings suggest that at that time Japan sought to project its image as an important contributor to the development of international law through its active participation to the codification project by the League.
