オノマトペは,適切なフォントを用いることで直感的な情報伝達を促す.すなわち,フォントはオノマトペに重要な要素の一つであると言える.フォントの視認性に関する議論は行われるものの,情報伝達を促進する文字情報に適切なフォントは,デザイナの知識に依存している.本研究では,一般の人々がオノマトペに適切だと感じるフォントを視覚的特徴量から分析することで,オノマトペに適したフォントの要素について考察する.

In our entertainment VR application, the user can move freely through a virtual city by using a web like SpidermanTM. In this application, the user wears a web shooter, which is a device to shoot webs, and takes aim at a target building. Then, when the user swings his/her arm ahead, a web is launched and it sticks to the target building on the screen. After the web sticks to the building, the user's arm is pulled in the direction of the target building by a pulling force feedback system, which gives the feeling of pulling to the user directly and smoothly, as if he/she were attached to an elastic string. Finally, the user moves to the target building. In three exhibitions, we surveyed the effectiveness of the application by questionnaire. We were able to confirm that a lot of users had enjoyed and were satisfied with our VR application.

This paper presents a simple font search method using an interactive genetic algorithm and similarity search. We see various types of fonts are used in many graphic designs. Various choices are available when selecting suitable fonts for presentation slides or website designs. However, the existing methods used for selecting fonts become tedious as the number of fonts increases. Our method provides an effective font search process based on visual similarity. In two experiments, we affirm that our method is effective in searching for a desired font, helping users to obtain a font suitable for an alphabetic (or non-alphabetic) character. In particular, our method allows users to search a font suitable for some words in less than half or one-third time that the user selects a font from a font list.

近年スマートフォンのカメラ機能が大幅に向上していることが話題となっており,ユーザーがスマートフォンを購入する 際にカメラの性能がとても重要視されるようになってきている.もともと一眼レフカメラに比べ,スマーフォンカメラはそのサイズの制限による特性上,イメージセンサーやレンズの性能の点で大きく劣っているが,膨大な演算量の画像処理の導入やイメージセンサーに対するスマートフォン特有の改良を施し高画質化を図っている.その代表的な機能に,HDR(High Dynamic Range)撮影,超解像ズーム,デジタルボケなどがあり,本稿では,AI(Artificial Intelligence)技術の活用を含めたスマートフォンのカメラにおける画像処理技術について紹介する.

マコガレイの稚魚,未成魚,成魚の分光視感度特性を調べるために,暗順応した供試魚の眼球から網膜電図(ERG)を記録した。得られた ERG のデータを Stavenga et al.(1993)のテンプレートに当てはめ分光応答曲線を求めた。稚魚,未成魚,成魚における最大応答波長はそれぞれ531 nm,524 nm,515 nm であり,すべてのステージで緑に感度が高いことが示された。マコガレイ稚魚は浅瀬に生息し,成長とともに生息水深が深くなる。分光感度ピーク波長が成長とともに短波長側にシフトすることは,生息水深の光環境への適応と推測された。

Yamaga Soko criticizes the lack of practicality of Neo-Confucianism and is known as a thinker who emphasizes“ daily use ”. However, if you think in detail, there is still a lot of doubt about the position of “daily use” in the philosophy of conduct. Of particular importance is the relationship between “daily use” and “the saint’s way”. To date, no studies have clarified this relationship. Looking at his understanding of the conduct of both, there is a contradiction between “the saint’s way”, which has transcendence that transcends the era, and “daily use” that has individuality depending on the era. As a clue to resolving this contradiction, this paper focused on the discussion about “Taikyoku”. In this context, Soko has criticized Zhou’s interpretation of the time of “Taikyoku”, and has developed the “Taikyoku” theory that all coexist simultaneously. The act says that “Tenchi” is also “Taikyoku”, and “Tenchi” is regarded as non-temporal. And since the saints are based on their “Tenchi”, “the saint’s way” has timeless transcendence. However, ordinary people cannot recognize “Tenchi” as a non-temporal thing, but have to recognize things in the eyes in order. As a result, the idea of time occurs in human recognition. “daily use“ is a phase in the idea of this time. Being committed to such “daily use” means that we believe we have to live in human perception, which is different from the original way of “Tenchi”. We can make such a claim because we believe that individuality and the whole are united. The “Taikyku” theory of the conduct is that all the people exist at the same time, and individual and transcendence exist at the same time as one. Therefore, living the perception of people who are only individual leads to the whole. That is why “saint ’s way” and “daily use”, which have contradictory personalities, are compatible with each other. Background of such thought is criticism of the idea that individuality and transcendence are separated temporally and individuality is only provisional. This is because such a way of thinking ignores the existence of diverse people.

スパイダーヒーローは,バーチャル都市空間をスパイダーマンTMのようにクモの糸を使って自由に飛び回ることができるVR アプリケーションである.本VR アプリケーションにおける力覚提示としてクモの糸の張力提示が特に重要となる.力覚を提示する代表的なデバイスとして,SPIDARやPHANTOMなどが挙げられる.先行研究においても,張力を提示する様々なデバイスが提案されているが,構造が複雑または高コストである問題が挙げられる.そこで,筆者らは単純な構造かつ低コストであるバキュームデバイスを用いた張力提示システムを提案する.本稿では,提案する張力提示システムとその張力提示システムを導入したVR アプリケーションについて述べる.

Mizuhiki is a decorative Japanese cord and used for gift-money envelopes. This study shows our investigation results regarding impressions given by Mizuhiki. The advantages are the clarification for impression structure, the use of an analysis method focusing on two factors, and the development of an interactive visualization tool. First, we got five factors from factor analysis. The factors are gorgeousness, grace, favorability, novelty, and loveliness. We analyzed the relationships between two factors using a robust PCA, thereby we could know some effect factors for increasing or decreasing the impressions belonging to two factors. In addition, we developed a new visualization tool for impressions of Mizuhiki and confirmed the effectiveness via users’ experiments.

単眼投映式のデジタルブラネタリウム「Super-MEDIAGLOBE」を開発した. 超高精細QXGA (2048×1536画素) プロジェクタを採用するとともに, ドーム上に精密に投映する160度魚眼レンズを開発した. また, 恒星や惑星などの天体を3Dモデルにて作製し, リアルタイムに宇宙空間飛行をシミュレートできる3Dプラネタリウム機能を搭載した. これにより, 単眼投映式というコンパクトでありながら, 高精細かっ, 臨場感の高いプラネタリウムを実現した.

<p>運動介入が脳機能の保持・改善に重要な役割をもつことが疫学および臨床研究により提唱されてきた.運動が脳機能に及ぼす影響と関連する生理学的背景を探索する目的で,PETを活用して有酸素運動による局所脳血流量(regional cerebral blood flow: rCBF)と脳μ-オピオイド受容体系の変化を検討した.oxygen-15-labeled water(<sup>15</sup>O-H<sub>2</sub>O)を用いたPET研究では有酸素運動中に一次運動感覚野,小脳,島皮質などで広範な脳領域でrCBFが増加することが示され,このような変化は局所の神経活動の亢進や周辺の神経受容体への影響を介して運動による神経可塑性の発現のメカニズムに関与することが推測される.<sup>11</sup>C-Carfentanil を用いたPET研究では有酸素運動後に生じるポジティブな気分変化や激しい運動に伴う疲労の発現に辺縁系や下垂体に分布するμ-オピオイド受容体系が関与し,その変化には運動強度の違いや気分変化の個人間差が影響することが提示された.PETを活用した神経画像研究は,運動に伴う脳機能変化のメカニズムに関与する要因であるrCBFおよび神経受容体系の変化を検証するために有用な手法である.</p>

Recently, sizzle words have been utilized for various product packages. These words have effective communicative performance to convey deliciousness of food. In particular, onomatopoeias are used for many product packages because they can convey the texture of food sensuously. When using sizzle words, producers may consider consumers' impressions. This study aims to investigate the relations between consumers' impressions and sizzle words through an experiment. The experimental targets were four rice crackers of different hardness because their textures were directly related to consumers' impressions and some packages of rice crackers used a few sizzle words for advertising. The results of this experiment indicated five tendencies: (1) the sizzle words regarding satisfaction, tradition, and typicality, and the onomatopoeias including "<i>zaku</i>" are appropriate for an extremely hard rice cracker; (2) the sizzle words regarding lightness and comfort, and the onomatopoeias including "<i>saku</i>" are appropriate for a non-hard rice cracker; (3) the sizzle words regarding aridity, fineness, and unforgettable taste are appropriate for a slightly hard rice cracker; (4) the onomatopoeias expressing crunchy texture are appropriate for a quite hard rice cracker; (5) rough texture of food brings a sense of satiety. In addition, we performed a factor analysis using the results with 14 onomatopoeias in the experiment. The analysis results showed three factors: brittleness, irritation, and lightness. In future, we expect that these results can be utilized for guiding a choice of an appropriate sizzle word.

A fabrication method of a painless transdermal micro needle array is proposed to realize its inexpensive and mass production. In order to avoid a risk by breakage of the needle when the needle is penetrated into the epidermis, the array is made with biodegradable polymer, for example, PLA. The proposed method has the following processes, (1) a mold dies having many micro through-holes is heated over the melting point of PLA, (2) the heated mold comes into contact with surface of the PLA plate, (3) the melted PLA is poured into the through-holes, and (4) the formed PLA plate is cooled to less than the melting point and removed from the dies. It is difficult to fabricate the array device because of the ratio of needle height to the diameter is large. So, heating temperature, time of heating the plate, moving stroke of dies and demolding temperature were examined and then fabrication of high precision circular cylindrical shaped needle array became possible.

A new fabrication method of a painless micro needle array for high reliable vaccine delivery system through a epidermis is proposed. This method has been developed to realize the inexpensive and mass production of the needle array. For safety against the break of the needle, the needle is made with biogradable polymer (PLA). The proposed method has the following processes, (1) Si tool in a shape of micro needle array is heated, (2) tops of the needles over the Si tool are touched onto the surface of the polymer plate to melt the contacting areas, and (3) the Si tool is detached from the plate to form the needles by elongating the melted polymer. In order to make the uniform needles over the plate, temperature, touching time, and withdrawing speed of the Si tool and tolerance of the polymer plate are examined. By the optimized working conditions, keen corn-type needles having the height of about 500μm can be formed enable to penetrate into the epidermis.

公立の一般病院に勤務する看護補助者の処遇の実態を探ることを目的とし,公立の一般病院に対してアンケート調査を実施した(回答数449病院,回収率51.4%)。総人件費の高騰や常勤職員の定員枠などの問題があり,その労働需要の大きさに対し,各病院における身分割合の回答病院全体の平均値は,常勤職員14.3%,非常勤職員45.6%,臨時職員37.5%,派遣・委託2.7%である。臨時職員の勤務時間は74.9%の病院で常勤職員と同じであり,再契約時の空白期間を設定せず,勤務時間に制約のない臨時職員を多用している実態がある。常勤職員の基本給表は,「人事院の労務職の基本給表を活用」34.4%,「独自に作成」29.3%の順に多い。昇給制度は50.8%の病院がなく,急性期看護補助体制加算の評価開始後の月給への影響は「変化なし」が96.7%である。また,看護補助者の身分などにおいて,各経営形態や各地域において統計的に有意な差が認められた。
