THE PURPOSE OF THIS STUDY IS TO GRASP 1)PHYSICAL CHANGES OF THE AREAS 2)RESIDENTS' VIEWS ON THEIR HOUSES AND FUTURE PROSPECTS OF THE AREAS. AND THESE POINTS ARE STUDIED AS A CASE STUDY IN NEIGHBORING AREA OF SHINJUKU SUBCENTER. THE RESULTS OF THIS STUDY ARE AS FOLLOWS: 1) THE CHANGES OF LAND USE APPEAR NOT AS DIRECT LOCATIONS OF BUSINESS BUILDINGS, BUT AS PUTTING BUSINESS FUNCTIONS WITH CONDOMINIUMS OR DEVERSION FOR BUSINESS AFFAIR IN DWELLING UNITS. 2) CONSCIOUSNESS OF BEING SETTLED IN THE AREA IS DECLINING, AND THERE EXIST CONSIDERABLE RESIDENTS OF HAVING THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF MOVING FROM THE AREA.

THIS STUDY DEALS WITH A SCHOLAR NAMED NOBUHIRO SATO (1769?-1850) WHO LIVED IN EDO PERIOD. HE WROTE MANY THESISSES IN POLITICS, ECONOMICS, AND NATIONAL MANAGEMENT ETC. I EXAMINE HIS THOUGHT IN THE NATIONAL PLANNING FIELD. BECAUSE PREWAR SHOWA ADMINISTRATION USED TO REFER SATO'S THESISSES, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE FIRST NATIONAL PLAN WAS TRIED. SATO'S THOUGHT ON THE NATIONAL PLANNING POLICY WAS RATHER FUNCTION-ORIENTED AND CENTRALIZED INTENTION WITH HIERARCHIC STRUCTURE. A FEW OF HIS IDEAS MIGHT BE STILL COMMON IN THE NATIONAL PLANNING POLICY NOW.

本研究は、土地税制などの金銭的な政策や土地利用規制が都市域の土地利用に及ぼす効果を把握できるモデルを構築する。100mメッシュという詳細なゾーンを対象に地理情報システムを用いて土地利用の実績データと土地条件に関するデータを用意し、立地者間の競争関係を表現できるランダム付け値モデルを作成する。その際、路線価の観測値を用いて、金銭単位で付け値関数を推定することにより、課税等の金銭的な政策を簡単に取り込み得る土地利用モデルの構築をめざす。

THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS STUDY IS HOW A LAND USE CONTROL SYSTEM SHOULD BE FOR THE MIXED LAND USE IN "YAMANOTE" SUB-CBD BELT AREA OF TOKYO. WE SURVEYED THE BUILDING FLOOR USES ON 5,721 PARCELS OF LAND AT THE TWELVE DISTRICTS AND THE THREE TYPES OF MIXED USE RATIOS ARE IDENTIFIED OF BOTH LAND AREA AND FLOOR AREA. WE DISCUSS THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE LAND USE CONTROL METHODS TO ALLOW FLOOR AREA WITH LIMITTED USE AND TO REGULATE VERTICAL ZONES.

BUT THERE ARE FEW STUDY ABOUT THE ENTIRE CONDITION OF RESIDENTIAL USE OF DISTRICT-WIDE SCALE, AND THERE ARE FEW HISTORICAL EVALUATION ON THIS PROBLEM. SO, IN THIS ARTICLE, I WILL MAKE CLEAR HISTORICAL CHANGE OF THIS PROBLEMS IN THE SHORT AND MIDDLE TERM. AFTER THAT, ENTIRE CONDITION OF RESIDENTIAL USE IN AKASAKA-ROPPONGI DISTRICT WILL BE ANALYSED. AS A CONCLUSION, PLANNING METHOD TO HARMONIZE BIG PROJECTS AND CONSERVATION OF RESIDENTIAL USE AROUND THE AREA WILL BE PROPOSED.

DURING THE GION MATSURI, WHICHI IS A HISTORICAL URBAN FESTIVAL, NOT A SPECIAL SPACE IS PROVIDED BUT ORDINARY SPACE, HISTORICAL TOWN HOUSES (MACHIYA) AND STREETS CHANGED BEAUTIFULLY. DURING THE FESTIVAL TIME THE STREET IS DECORATED BY LANTERNS AND CURTAINS AND PEOPLE SET UP TEMPORARY NIGHT STALLS. IN HISTORICAL TOWN HOUSES (MACHIYA) THE ROOMS ARE DECORATED BEAUTIFULLY AND THE PASSENGERS CAN SEE THEM. THIS IS CALLED BYOBU MATSURI. THIS PAPER ANALYZED AND EXAMINED THE CHANGE OF THE STREET SPACE IN THE URBAN BLOCKS IN GION MATSURI AREA. THIS PAPER SUGGESTED ITS SIGNIFICANCE FOR HABITATION IN THE FUTURE IN THE CENTRAL DISTRICT.

THE CITY OF KYOTO HAS DEVELOPED WITHIN A BASIN. SO WE CAN SEE MOUNTAINS EASTWARD, NORTHWARD, AND WESTWARD THROUGH A SERIES OF TRADITIONAL WOODEN HOUSES. THIS KIND OF TOWNSCAPE WHICH CHARACTERIZE DOWNTOWN KYOTO HAS AMUSED THE CITIZENS IN THEIR DAILY LIFE. IT IS FOUND THAT WE CAN GET VIEWS OF MOUNTAINS AT A SOLID ANGLE OF 0.5 TO 3.0 UNITS FROM ORDINARY POINTS IN DOWNTOWN KYOTO. ( 1 UNIT IS DEFINED AS A SOLID ANGLE FORMED BY VERTICAL 1° AND HORIZONTAL 1°.) VIEWS OF MOUNTAINS, PARTICULARLY FROM SMALL STREETS , ARE INTERRUPTED BY TALL BUILDINGS RECENTLY CONSTRUCTED.

A DATABASE SYSTEM WAS MADE TO ANALYZE THREE-DIMENTIONAL LAND USE IN A CITY CENTER AREA USING COMPUTER GRAPHICS. THE USAGE OF BUILDING FLOORS (THE THREE-DIMENTIONAL LAND USE) IN THE CENTER AREA OF OITA CITY WAS INVESTIGATED. APPROXIMATELY 14,000 UNITS OF LAND USE WERE USED TO FORM THE DATABASE OF THREE-DIMENTIONAL LAND USE. LAND USE IN THE CITY CENTER AREA WAS PLOTTED BY A DENSITY INDICATOR AND A MIXTURE INDICATOR OF LAND USE. A DENSITY INDICATOR AND A MIXTURE INDICATOR IN A CIRCLE AREA WAS CALCULATED BY REGULAR SHIFTING OF A CIRCLE AREA. AND THIS WAS REPRESENTED VISULALLY BY A C.G. METHOD.

The numbers of intra-zonal journey to work trips for each zone in downtown areas have been examined. A technique has been developed to estimate these numbers on the basis on the fact that the average residential lot size per employed resident in each zone in the downtown areas is strongly related to the generative density of intra-zonal journey to work trips. This model was caliburated for a base year(1970). The model was then used to estimate the number of intra-zonal work trips for each zone for the year 1980. The estimated numbers compared favourably with the actual numbers measured in 1980.

本研究では、鉄道やバス等の公共交通を補完することが期待できる電動キックボードに着目し、地方都市における持続可能な地域交通としてのあり方に関する基礎的な知見を得ることを目的として、若年層を対象とした電動キックボードの走行調査および、利用意向に関するアンケート調査を実施した。電動キックボードを認知している割合は35.7%であり、電動キックボードシェアリングサービスが本格的に展開された際の利用意向は、28名全ての被験者が利用したいとしていることが分かった。電動キックボードを利用したい距離は、福井市立地適正化計画での公共交通を利用しやすい区域の考え方に基づき整理した結果、鉄道駅の徒歩圏域である800m未満の割合は78.6%、バス停の徒歩圏域である300m未満の割合は17.9%であることが明らかとなった。以上から、電動キックボードの利用は、バス停ならびに鉄道の徒歩圏域をカバーするとともに、バス停や鉄道圏域を拡大する可能性があることを示唆した。

To activate urban core areas in metropolitan area, it is necessary to provide comfortable and convenient space for visitors. This research aims to analyse staying behaviour of visitors in urban core areas to find useful information for activation planning. The first half, present condition of visitors' behaviour are analysed by using the index of staying time. The latter half, various factors which affect visitors' behaviour are evaluated by using mathematical models.

In this paper, we investigate effects of central area parking policy on shopping trips, especially from the viewpoint of a mean of encouraging the depressed urban center. We build choice model for transportation mode and destination, which involves some variables of parking service; i.e.capacity and location of parking facility, parking fee, walking time to destination. Using this model, we present the effect of parking policies and suggest the necessity to be included in over-all urban transport planning.

近年、各地で路上での喫煙を禁止する取り組みが行われており、路上喫煙禁止地区を指定する自治体が増えている。しかしながら路上喫煙禁止地区内での路上喫煙者は依然として散見される。本研究では路上喫煙禁止地区内の屋外空間を対象に、喫煙者の発生・滞留状況を把握し、喫煙者が滞留する空間の特徴を明らかにすることを目的としている。神戸市三宮・元町地区を対象に行った観察調査から、26か所の喫煙者の滞留空間を確認し、その空間の特徴を分析した。その結果、路上喫煙を禁止する条例の効力が及ばない民有地に多くの喫煙者が滞留すること、裏通りにおいて形成された喫煙空間に喫煙者数が多いこと、また人目につかない空間、他者からの視線を遮ることができる自動販売機や電柱等の構造物がある空間を選好されている傾向が把握できた。

The objective of this study is to identify who use the apartments in center area of Tokyo and what conditions attract them. Each two hundred questionaires were delivered to three districts in center area. Through analysis of the data, mixed use of apartments by households and offices, items which attract households and offices and their evaluation system of the items are identified.

Recent studies have been paying much attention on trip chaining behavior. However, shop-around trip chaining behavior at a midtown district has not yet been fully explored. In particular, there is a lack of empirical facts about its purpose transition. Based on the citizen survey conducted by Saga City, this paper analyzes how many purpose transitions occur before quitting and constructs ratio scale to account for what type of purpose is preferred in what steps of shop-around. Findings are: quitting rate of shop-around increases as steps proceed; purpose transition probabillity is non-stationary; there are two kinds of purposes which are more likely to occur early or later.

This paper analysed the recent tendency of the location of the electronic date processing division in the big companies the head quarter of which are now located in the heart of Tokyo. In addition to the secondary date analysis, a questionnaire survey was done to about a hundred companies to identify their behavior and the relating problems. Finally, the possibility of the reagglomeration of the divisions and the information processing industries to the suburban core cities are also discussed.

Parking price and walking distance between parking lots and destinations are basicfactors in drivers' parking lots selection. However, the relation of two factors has notbeen clear. Carring out a questionnare about parking lots selection, this paper clarifies the relation between parking price and walking distance. Then, considering the effect of parking price, walking distance is modified. which can be used for consideration offer efficient usage of parking lots.

Following five elements constitute the living consciousness of inhabitants. (1) On what kind of merits of the city lives do they decide the residential place? (2) Do they hope the lives of the centre of the city positivery, or not? (3) How the people who have lived in the cetre of the city valuate their living place? (4) Do they want to continue to live there? (5) In case they want to move, to where? Well this paper clarify how the inhabitants valuate synthetically the livies of the centre of the city.
