The work of Jane Austen came between 1813 and 1818, which placed her novels in the Regency period. Different from the Victorian era, it was full of openness, candor, and satire. In addition, sentimentalism is one of the characters of the novels in this era and sentimental novels, where the emergence of feeling is considered as a guide to behavior, are popular. Generally, her work is considered refined, but it is affected by the era. One of her juvenilia, Love and Freindship, which is an epistolary novel, is not elegant but full of Austen's critical spirit. Austen, though fourteen when she wrote it, tried to attack the public tendency to regard sensibility as important.

かつて日本の実質的な支配地であった「満洲国」における日中両民族間の言語接触を対象とした研究は今日までほとんど存在しない。当時の言語接触の実態はどのようなものだったのか。また、それはどのような特徴を持っていたのか。これらは不明な部分が多く、言語接触の観点からも非常に興味深い課題である。本研究では、軍事郵便絵葉書を資料として、「満洲国」の接触言語の使用状況、語彙、音韻、文法のジャンル毎に考察し、満洲国における言語接触の実態と特徴を明らかにしようとするものである。考察した結果、語彙の引用、人称代名詞を中心とする「デー」の拡大使用、音韻上の変化特徴、助動詞としてのアル、助詞、準体助詞、形式名詞の省略など、ピジンの特徴に当てはまるものもあれば、当てはまらないものもある。21 世紀になった現在、「満洲国」時代の経験者の多くは他界している。この意味で、本研究は当時の言語接触の一側面を把握するには役立つものだろう。There has been very little research on language contact between Japanese and Chinese in Manchukoku (Manchukuo)while it was under Japanese rule. How did language contact occur? What were the characteristics of the contact? Many issues still remain unanswered. This paper examines the language contact and its characteristics by analyzing the vocabularies, phonetic features and grammar items used in military postcards. The language use of the postcards show certain features of a pidgin such as over use of the postposition ʻdeʼ[ʻdeʼ in Chinese]after personal pronouns, an ʻaruʼ style of auxiliary verbs, omissions of particles and semi-particles. Considering the fact that the number of the people who experienced the period of "Manchukoku" are getting fewer and fewer, it can be concluded that this paper has truly provided crucial clues which are meaningful in understanding the language contact situation during that period.
