The emphatic particle fo‘i in Samoan and its cognate ho‘i in Tahitian and Hawaiian are both general particles used very frequently. In this paper, the distribution of fo‘i and ho‘i in these three languages is examined to show similarity and difference among them. The general particle fo‘i / ho‘i in all of these three languages may appear at the end of a predicate phrase (which can be a verbal predicate, a nominal predicate, an interrogative, a negative, or a conjunction which occurs in the predicate position) or at the end of a non-predicate noun phrase. The general particle fo‘i in Samoan and ho‘i in Hawaiian can appear after a topic noun phrase. The general particle fo‘i in Samoan and ho‘i in Tahitian can occur between a determiner (which can be a demonstrative, a possessive, or a determiner "other") and a noun. Each of these determiners can form a noun phrase without any following noun.

弘前市立図書館に所蔵されている、寛政五年( 9 )刊の『都花月名所』の資料性について検証したものである。京都府立総合資料館にも同様の文献が所蔵されているが、従来、地誌資料として扱われて地理学的分野での研究対象とされてきた。本稿では、それぞれの文献を比較検討した結果、京都府立総合資料館所蔵本が不完全本であること、弘前市立図書館所蔵本が刊行時の様相をとどめた善本資料であることを明らかにした。その上で、国語資料としての『都花月名所』の可能性を探るために漢字表記に付された振り仮名に注目し、四つ仮名や連声、カ行合拗音といった言語事象について考察検討し報告した。

In this case study, focusing on the implementation of the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) for weather forecasting in Japan, the authors investigate a process of value-adding to scientific information, which we hope could give a hint for knowledge management. Unlike the received wisdom of the “linear model” which assumes that “basic” science is eventually applied to technology or that the users of technology only passively receive what the designers and the providers have made, the Sun Protection Factor has been established as a quantitative index of ultraviolet radiation by the cosmetics industry, rather a potential user of meteorological information services. The provider of meteorological information, the Japan Weather Association (JWA), then could adopt and appropriate the framework of ultraviolet forecasting which has been presented by the cosmetics industry. The authors hope that this case study which investigates the initiative of an industry which is sensitive to the ordinary consumers, particularly to women, in the market could contribute to an understanding of how a user-friendly scientific information market could be formed and transformed.

So in this article, through, the discussion of depressed person’s personal relation in the field of psychoanalysis and psychiatry, the author made an approach to the feature of the depressed person’s self-others systern, In addition, the author suggested perceived-being-accepted, as a concept that captures that feature・and prospected evidence based clinical psychology study of it・

後2世紀におけるローマ帝国の東方への拡大は, 従来, トラヤヌス帝以来の3度のパルティア戦争を中心に考察されてきた。本稿は, その狭間で, 防衛に徹し対外平和を維持したとして軽視されてきたハドリアヌス帝とアントニヌス・ピウス帝の治世に着目した。帝国領自体は拡大しなかったが, この時代にこそローマ帝国は東方諸国に対する統制を強めていき, 対外的権威が著しく増大したのである。とりわけ, 黒海からアルメニアにかけての地域への支配はアントニヌス・ピウス帝の下で確立し, マルクス・アウレリウス帝のパルティア戦争はこの延長線上で理解すべきものであった。さらに, この体制を基盤として, セプティミウス・セウェルス帝以後, ローマがメソポタミアへ直接支配を拡大していくこともまた可能となったのである。

This study is an attempt to establish the "framework" of media studies which should help them become "a single disciplinary science". Surveying various types of the current media studies, this paper makes propositions to provisionally determine three basic research fields, that is, "Media Effects", "Media and Power", and "Public"; and to study these three research fields respectively, till they are integrated into one.

鎌倉時代初期に書かれ、現存する最古の物語評論を中心とした王朝女性文化論である『無名草子』について、その引用関連の文献を総合的に調査し、文学史と文化史の中に位置づけた。従来は現存しない散逸物語などの資料とされ、その批評は、和歌的な美意識による印象批評とみなされてきたが、これを失われた王朝女性文化に固有の視点からの王朝憧憬の書物として、その特殊な位相を解明したところに特色がある。それは、この作品において取り上げられた文献の引用から見られる特徴を、女房の視点からジェンダー論として捉えるとともに、取り上げられなかった作品や歴史的また文化的な事象をも視野に置くことによって可能となった。具体的な実績としては、引用関連文献を、注釈レベルにおいて再検討することを基礎作業として、「引用関連文献年譜」「引用作品年表」「登場人物年表」を作成したことである。これによって、作品名と人名を中心とした文学史の中に、引用関連からみた『無名草子』の特質を文学史の中に位置づける基本的な視座を得ることができた。個々の文献の成立年次は確定できないものも多いし、年譜や年表としては大まかな流れを示すものであるが、王朝女房の視点により、貴族社会が崩壊したあとの<女>文化の歴史的位相が明確となる。『無名草子』という作品の表現の構造からは、序の物語における仏教的な価値評価の強さに対して、本論ではそれが弱く、失われた現実としての王朝女性文化への憧憬が価値基準となっている。これは、すでに和歌や歌集の編纂、鏡ものなど歴史物語、また説話集が男性文学として女性から簒奪されていた時代にあって、『源氏物語』を中心とした「作り物語」を王朝女性文化の中心となす伝統を示し、<物語の詩学>というべき批評原理を読むことができる。また『枕草子』以来の「草子」というジャンルを仮説することにより、「世継」や「歌語り」との関連を問う視点が拓かれた。
