Despite recent artificial intelligence technologies achieved prominent results, machinescannot behave like humans yet. I compare the ability of humans’ language acquisition with natural language processing by machine learning technologies, taking learning of word embedding vectors as an example. And I introduce some notable researches which may fill in the gap, one-shot learnig, memory models and language game tasks. Al-though these researches have just begun, it will be important for artificial intelligence to aquire human intelligence.

In the present study, flow in an ion-drag electrohydrodynamic (EHD) micropump was numerically simulated, and electric charge density on the emitter was modeled through the simulation. The simulation was performed for an ion-drag EHD micropump developed and experimentally tested by Kazemi et al. (Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems, Vol.18, No.3 (2009), pp.547-554.). Two models of charge density on the emitter were tested. First, one model was tested in which charge density was distributed uniformly on the emitter. The simulated discharge pressure generated in the micropump was proportional to both applied voltage and charge density. The experimental discharge pressure was reproduced by considering the change of charge density with applied voltage. Next, the other model was tested in which charge density was distributed depending on electric field on the emitter. The model was more realistic than the former because of consideration of electric field distribution on the emitter. The model also reproduced the experimental discharge pressure.

Summary:This paper reconsiders a history of "Taishu Engeki (Japanese vaudeville)" commercialized at the inside of common people's daily life. From the point of view of an acquisition of a skill, I have analyzed a formation mechanism of personal art of the highest rank. The impression for an audience to an excellent performance resembles the moment of "Ichigo Ichie (one time, one meeting)." But, the skill of a body technique which brings an agreeable impression to people is included in a range of the "tacit knowledge," and therefore it matures during an extended period while piling up learning and sudden comprehension through a large number of successive rehearsals. It is proved that there is no contradiction in such a process. In a rehearsal of each troupe of "Taishu Engeki," the learning method of a personal performance called "kuchidate iteaching by talking)," a kind of "wazagengo (craft language)," has been traditionally adopted. Free acting mprovisation becomes possible by mastering details of a skill useful for a body control immediately according to any circumstances. There we can see a possibility of the popular folk culture contrasting with the mass culture.

Kosaku Yamada, a Japanese representative composer, created approximately 700 excellent Japanese songs. However, composition of these songs was a continuous process of trial and error. A composition method along with characteristics of Japanese language (pitch accent) did not exist in Japan in those days; therefore Kosaku established his composition method by making himself a testing ground. Around the same time in Germany, Dr. Carl Orff, a composer and musical educator, started a new attempt in the field of musical education along with his composition activities. In this paper, we focused on the philosophy: "'rhythm' and 'melody' in music is generated from words [mother tongue]" from the philosophy of musical education developed by Orff to develop a new Orff method in Japan, through fundamental understanding and reorganization of characteristics of Japanese language (pitch accent) and by tracing the process of Kosaku to compose Japanese songs. Importance to experience the sense of pitch accent as the characteristics of Japanese language in music is clarified, which is incorporated as "high- and lowpitched sound game" in activities of musical expression in early childhood, and a daily and casual instruction method of musical expression as an extension of game is clarified.

要旨明治時代後半以降、一部の人のものであった子供と教育への関心は、「こども博覧会」(1907(明治39)年5月4日~16日)をきっかけに、急速に高まりを見せる。博覧会に関わった出版社や新聞社は、子供を対象とした様々な雑誌を創刊したり、教育的イベントを企画したりし、「子供のための」取り組みは大正期に入ってさらに読者を獲得、広がっていく。本稿は、そのような社会的ムードの中で展開した、山田耕筰の童謡観について、山田自身の2つの著述「作曲者の言葉――童謡の作曲に就いて」(『詩と音楽』大正11年11月号ほか所収)、「歌謡曲作曲上より見たる詩のアクセント」(『詩と音楽』大正12年2月号所収)に基づき考察するものである。これらは、前者が概論だとするならば、後者は、実践編にあたる。著述の内容からわかる山田の童謡への姿勢と、そこから生み出された≪あかとんぼ≫の分析から明らかになるのは、「赤い鳥」運動の高い志を保ち芸術的童謡を模索する中で、日本語詩のアクセント論にたどり着き、西洋音楽理論を超えた日本語固有の拍節感から作品を生み出したことである。初期の学校教育と社会教育活動は重なる部分が多い。童謡における山田の活動は、全国各地の小学校で、文部省唱歌の代りに童謡をうたわせることが多くなった時代にあって、初期唱歌教育において目指された共通日本語教育への志向が、芸術家によって一定の見解をみた大きな成果の一つであった。

Mondor's disease (MD) is a rare disease that manifests with a palpable cord-like induration on the body surface. In general, MD is a self-limited, benign thrombophlebitis that resolves in four to eight weeks without any specific treatment. Cases of MD can be roughly categorized into three different groups based on the site of the lesion as follows: original MD of the anterolateral thoracoabdominal wall, penile MD with dorsum and dorsolateral aspects of the penis, and axillary web syndrome with mid-upper arm after axillary surgery. The diagnosis of MD is rather straightforward and based on a physical examinations. However, some case occur "secondary" with another underlying disease, including malignancy, a hypercoagulative state, and vasculitis. Therefore, it is critical to identify MD precisely, evaluate any possible underlying disease, and avoid any unnecessary invasive tests or treatment. In this paper, we comprehensively review the clinical characteristics of MD.
