我々は,暗黙的確認により対話システムの知識にない単語(未知語)の獲得を行う手法の開発に取り組んできた.システムは未知語のクラスを含めた暗黙的確認要求をユーザに対して行い,ユーザの応答からその内容が正しいとわかった場合に,そのクラスを獲得する.本論文では,ユーザの応答などに基づいて正しい確認要求を抽出する手法と,同じ確認要求に対する複数の抽出結果を用いてより確実に知識を獲得する手法とについて述べる.

日本の合計特殊出生率が1.39を記録し,今現在もさらなる低下を続けていると考えられている.これは,現人口を安定して維持できる人口置き換え水準(replacement level)の2.1を大きく下回っている.「出生力の減退が人口減少をもたらし,また,人口の高齢化を引き起こす」,「これからは,衰退する社会だ」という意見がよく聞かれる.事実,人口減少社会は悪いイメージで語られる場合が多い.本論文では,生物としての根元である"産むこと=出生力"に照準を合わせ,「出生力はどのようにして決まり,出生力回復の処方箋はあるのか?」に関して色々の側面から考察を加え、統計データと、人口の推定式を用いて、将来人口を推計する。これを基に、人口減少を支えるにはどうすべきかについて議論する.

Acoustic metamaterial can have arbitrary acoustic characteristics , and there is possibility to improve acoustic performance of any products dramatically. As metamaterial, many kind of types have been propounded and studied. It is mainly classified into resonance type and non-resonance type.Resonance type metamaterial can change acousic characteristics drastically, but frequency range is narrow. Non-resonance type’s acoustic characteristics range is less than resonance type, but it can be changed in broad frequency band. It is a great advantage to use. About non-resonance type metamaterial, it has been already studied to control transmitted sound, but it has not been studied about reflection sound. If reflection sound control become possible, effective method can be chosen to solve noise problem. For example, resonance frequency in a duct will be shifted by changing reflection direction from the wall. In this study, the design method of non-resonance type metamaterial to control reflection sound has been studied by using FEM and Transfer-function method, and to verify the design method, element test was conducted. Element test result correspond well with analysis result, and the design method of acoustic metamaterial has been verified in this study. In order to put into practical use, further study with actual product shape is needed to confirm manufacturability.

【目的】γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA)・リンゴ酢含有飲料水「顆糖熟(かとなーる)^[○!R]」の血圧に及ぼす作用と安全性を検討した.【方法】対象は,正常血圧者(収縮期血圧130mmHg未満かつ拡張期血圧85mmHg未満.N群.8名)と未治療正常高値血圧者(収縮期血圧130-139mmHgまたは拡張期血圧85-89mmHg)・軽症高血圧患者(収縮期血圧140-159mmHgまたは拡張期血圧90-99mmHg)のH群(10名)のボランテア計18名(男/女=13/5.平均46±3歳.)である.1本90mlにGABA70mg含有する飲料水「顆糖熟^[○!R]」を1日1本12週間摂取し,2週間毎に血圧・血液生化学・尿を検査した.【結果】診察所見・自覚所見で有害事象は見られなかった.N群では摂取による血圧の有意な変化は見られなかった(収縮期血圧118±3mmHgから113±4mmHg).H群では,摂取6週目から血圧低下が見られ,開始日(収縮期血圧136±2mmHg)と比較して10・12週目に有意な低下が見られた(収縮期血圧129±3・128±4mmHg,両p<0.05).興味深いことに,摂取中止2週後は更に血圧が低下し(126±3mmHg,p<0.05),中止4過後に血圧が上昇してきて摂取前と差が見られなくなった(130±4mmHg).摂取による血液生化学・尿検査の異常変化は見られなかったが,血糖値・GOT・γ-GTP・LDHの有意な低下と総コレステロール値の低下傾向が見られた.【総括】GABA含有飲料水「顆糖熟^[○!R]」は正常高値血圧者・軽症高血圧患者で緩やかに血圧を降下させ,安全性が高いことが示唆された.

Recently the importance of Monozukuri (manufacturing) has been watched with keen interest as a social; problem, which has a relation with schoolchildren's decline of their academic standards, pointed out by the reports of PISA of OECD and TIMSS, etc., and their "losing interest in science" and "dislike of science", some people worry about, which will lead to the decline of technology in the home industry, the top-class personnel shortage, and the decrease of economical power in this country in the future. In order to solve such a problem, science pavilions, universities, and academic societies of science and engineering etc. in various places hold "Monozukuiri Classrooms" or "Science Classrooms". We can say that various activities which try to hold off "losing interest in science" and "dislike of science." in the whole society. Under such a situation, Aichi Institute of Technology (AIT) to which we belong, also tries to contribute to the activity of solving the problem, and holds various engineering education lectures which intend for elementary, junior high school and senior high school students. AIT has held "The Whole Experience World" which tries to bring up a talented person who has a dream and hope towards science and technology, grows his/her originality, intellectual curiosity and spirit of inquiry, and supports the nation based on science and technology in the summer vacation since 2001.<br>This paper reports the result of a questionnaire about what kind of the long-term learning effect on the children who participated in "The Whole Experience World" and "Boys and Girls Robot Lectures". As the conclusion of the study, we can say that the lectures could give the participants who were interested in science and technology more interest. And we could give them the idea of what the study of science and technology is. As a result, we could contribute to the participants' decision of the courses' selection in life.

Human communication of emotions is achieved through both facial and vocal information. The purpose of this study is to investigate the dominant sensory modality in recognition of emotions to the multi-modal expression. In Experiment 1, expressions of happiness, surprise, sadness, or aversion was presented vocally, facially, or in both modalities through the expression of an interjectory word "eh". Participants were required to judge the emotion that was expressed. In Experiment 2, recognition of conflicted emotions between modalities was investigated by combining different emotions between facial and vocal expression. Results of the two experiments indicated that the observers predominantly recognized happiness and surprise that was expressed facially rather than vocally. Furthermore, the expression of happiness was often mistaken as surprise, and the expression of sadness was often mistaken as aversion. Importantly, however, the reverse of these mistakes was little observed. Such the asymmetries of confusion were consistently obtained in every modality including bimodal presentations. This evidence is suggestive that an amodal processing system exists in multi-modal recognition of emotions.
