The urine examination is a important thing for the health service to students. By means of the urinalysis we can get many informations that which are not only diseases but also health condition of students. The urine examination have been carried out in the swimming camp since several years ago. The results of the urianalysis obtained in the swimming camp from 1985 to 1988 were studied on specific gravity of urine, pH, and protainuria. The results of this study are as follows: 1. It was observed that the specific gravity of urine dropped after swimming training compared with after rising. 2. The acid reaction of urine showed pH 5.0 to 8.0 during the swimming camp. 3. The positive percentage of the protainuria after the swimming training were 10.8% on male students and 10.1% on female students.

自律神経機能指標解析システムの能力を次のように強化した。[1] 競技者にとって一番心理的に違和感のない心室収縮イベントを起点として,逆向きに必要な長さだけ自律神経機能指標計算のための時系列データを再構成するアルゴリズムを採用した。[2] 極小試験測定デバイスを導入することで,競技練習への干渉が少ない鼻梁に,測定デバイスの装着部位を変更した。これらと最大エントロピー法での周波数解析プログラムを組み合わせ,射撃系競技選手の能力開発を目指したバイタルコントロール支援システムを構築した。

Visual images and videotaped materials are often very useful for a class of 'Introduction of social and cultural background of Japan', but we have few well-edited visual learning materials for this area. So we have welcomed the series of videotaped texts edited by International Student Center, Tokyo Foreign Language University since 1990. My interest has been taken especially to the texts 'Rapid Economic Growth' and ' The Constitution of Japan and Our Daily Life' in this series. 'Rapid Economic Growth' consists of the scenes of important events after World War II picked up from news movies. Some scenes are full of significance not only on economic and political but also sociohistorical ground, which is regretfully not given enough explanation. As a result, this visual text only presents a glance of the history of after-war Japan and sometimes valuable images. Another text, 'The Constitution of Japan and Our Daily Life', on the contrary, lacks historical perspective, which makes this text not so much deserving of discussion at this critical moment as the title suggests.

家庭に於ける野菜の冷蔵保存の条件を知るために,保存温度,包装方法等を中心に条件をかえ,ビタミンC,糖の定量,外観,重量変化等から品質を評価して検討を行った結果次のことが明かとなった。1.低温障害をおこす野菜を除くと,1〜6℃でポリ袋等で包装し密封状態で保存するのがよい。2.低温障害は5以下で生じるので,低温障害を起す野菜も5〜7℃の低温で密封保存する方がよい。3.低温,密封保存した野菜は外観的に新鮮そうであっても,栄養価の低下は著しいものがある。又,冷凍可能な数種の野菜について,同様に品質を評価して冷蔵保存との比較を行った結果次のことが明かとなった。4.冷凍保存は,冷蔵保存に比べて栄養価の低下は少く,長期保存が可能である。5.冷凍によりテクスチャーは劣化する,特に繊維のかたいものはその傾向が著しく冷凍保存は適当でない。

Japan is often said the country of dual system or double standards. The Japanese people are criticized that they differentiate between honne (reality) and tatemae (facade or enunciated principle). The situation concerning international students' workpermit in Japan is not the exception. The policy of Japanese government as tatemae is that the Certificate of Eligibility which guarantees international students the entry to Japan as residents is issued only to those students who have either sufficient financial background or who have guarantors supporting them financially. The reality, however, is that almost all international students without Mombusho scholarship apply for the work permit. Since the work permit is automatically granted, they are engaged in broadrange of part-time jobs. Comparing with the policy of the U.S. I argue the inconsistency of the policy of Japanese government concerning international students' work permit.

According to Richard Ellmann's chronology, 'A prayer for My Daughter' was started on Feb. 22, 1919 and was completed in June when W. B. Yeats was at the age of fifty-four. Firstly, I attempted to record the background against which the poem was composed. In 1917, purging himself of his wasted love with Maud Gonne, he married with a young lady, Georgie Hyde-Lees. The new bride made his life serene and full of order. This drew his attention to aristocracy. They decided to reconstruct Ballylee Castle at Galway which he had bought so as to live a new life in a house where 'all's accustomed and ceremonious.' On the other hand, the Irish Nationalist Movement which the poet was an ardent adovocate, brought about the Black and Tan war. Disillusioned by this unexpected outcome of the movement, he was more and more driven into the solitude of the mind. Secondly, I tried to appreciate the poem. He seized upon his moments of respite in aristocracy as a symbol of rootedness. He declares in the poem that soul can keep its integrity only 'in custom and in ceremony'.
