The dietary attitude which is so good as to maintain life and active energy at old age needs desirable management of nutrition as well as the proper management of life.The dietary habits of long existing from the past have close relations with man's span of life, and under the influence of both natural and social environments, they have deep relations with man's life and regional environments.The subjects of this survey were long lived persons, 52 men and women, over seventy years old of Oki island, Shimane profecture.The results of their nutrient intake are summarized as follows.The relations between dietary habits and longevity, and the background produced remarkable results were discussed.1) The caloric intake was considerably different among individuals. The protein intake of the men reached the target intake. The energy value of both sex and the protein intake of the women nearly reached the target intake.2) It was made clear that all subjects consumed animal protein by taking fresh-mild taste fishery products. Therefore, the tendency to ward the consumption of animal protein and fat can be said to be desirable.3) On the contrary, the intake of micronutrient elements was fairly low on the whole. A considerable intake is needed.4) There was a marked tendency to eat fish shellfish, seaweeds, vegetables, and pulses, together with a large quantity of rice.5) Consequently, it was revealed that longevity has close relations with both natural and social environments.

The Miyaji Formation typically exposed along the coast of the Futami area, Kumamoto Prefecture, is characterized by sandy facies in the lower part and muddy facies in the upper. Abundant shallow marine bivalves are usually developed in the several horizons of the lower part. Among the identified species, Pterotrigonia (Pterotrigonia) pocilliformis, Goshoraia minor, Anthonya monobenses are the most diagnostic. From the bivalves faunal aspects and lithological character, the formation is comparable to that of the Lower Hibihana Formation of the Monobegawa Group in Shikokku. Detailed geologic survey has led to the discovery of the Miyaji Formation except for the type locality. The distribution of the Miyaji Formation offers the key to an understanding of the structural movements in this region. The Miyaji Formation is cut by several NW-SE faults. Judging from the field evidence, these faults can be determined to be associated with the geological structure of the Amakusa Islands

A new numerical method of calculating the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) and time-dependent HFB (TDHFB) with the Gogny interaction is proposed. The three-dimensional harmonic-oscillator (3DHO) basis functions are replaced by one-dimensional spatial grid points of Lagrange mesh plus two-dimensional harmonic-oscillator basis functions in the perpendicular plane to the direction of the spatial grid points [Lagrange mesh and harmonic oscillator (LMHO)]. By using the LMHO, the calculations of the HFB and TDHFB are carried out in the typical nuclei of 20O and 34Mg as an illustration of the feasibility of the TDHFB formulation with the LMHO. The strength functions of the quadrupole vibrations (K=0) are obtained and are compared with the ones calculated with the 3DHO.

Referential looking was defined as the behavior chain in which the child looked at the stimulus, then looked at the listener's face, and again looked at the stimulus. The purpose of this study was to examine in children with autism the conditions for establishing referential looking, pointing to the object, and a verbal and non-verbal response to direct the listener's attention to the object. The listener, sitting facing the child, replied to the children's communicative responses using a time-delay procedure. The stimulus was presented where the child could see it, but the listener could 'not'. The results showed that spontaneous referential looking with pointing was established by manipulating environmental conditions, such as use of a setting in which the listener did not 'know' the presented stimulus, and the time-delay procedure, which facilitated spontaneous responses from the child. The declarative verbal and non-verbal behavior, which might have a function for guiding the listener's face in a more accurate direction toward the stimuli, occurred without any instruction. These results were discussed in terms of the function of environmental stimuli and the behavioral mechanism of joint attention in children with autism.

Of the English on signs found in the eight castle complexes containing castle towers [ keeps, donjons ] designated important cultural properties, the English in the Bicchuu Matsuyama, Marugame, Kouchi, Hirosaki, and Maruoka castles was examined, and was added actively if there were no English signs or explanations in Fukushima ( 2012. 7 )(2013.1). This paper will examine the English signs in the Uwajima, Iyo Matsuyama, and Matsue castles. It will also add English actively if there are no English signs or explanations. It will be shown that in the Iyo Matsuyama and Matsue castles there are more English signs and explanations than in the other six castles including the Uwajima castle mentioned in this paper, even if considering the scale of the castles concerned. This paper also follows the classifi cation of the signs in Fukushima ( 2012.7 ) ( 2013.1 ).
