本稿では明治初年から現在までに発表された小説を用い、終助詞「かしらん>かしら」という語形変化の流れの中での男女の使用差を調査した。昭和前期頃に語形が「かしら」に定着するとともに、女性的な表現として定着していることが分かった。また、明治後期の男女の使用差を考察したところ、明治後期の作品では、女性の発話に丁寧体と共存して終助詞「かしら」を使用する用例が多く見られた。これは、直接的な問いかけや依頼を避け、柔らかな丁寧さを示しており、明治以後形成された発話の仕方における男女差の反映と見られる。小説の世界では、明治後期から「かしら」を使用する女性のステレオタイプが形成され、大正期・昭和期をへて、現在に至り「かしら」が女性的表現として定着してきたと考えられる。

Chinese language has many words containing a color related Chinese character. These words not simply indicate colors but also imply other meanings deriving from these colors. In China, colors often have symbolic meanings. The present paper discusses these social, cultural, and ideologieal meanings of colors used in Chinese language.

The aim of this study is to express an opinion about "What is the essence of social welfare", and to clarify "social welfare as a subject of investigation", based on that opinion. Recently, the state of social welfare policy has changed greatly, and the term for a person who receives social welfare benefits has changed from "recipient" to "subject" and then to "user". However, the change in name has not improved the recipients' life circumstances. In short, recent social welfare policy has not contributed to "a better life" for people. In this situation, I think that "social welfare policy theory as social science" is necessary in order to contribute to "a better life" for people, i.e., in order to amend current social welfare policy. The aim of this study was decided based on the reasons above. To achieve this aim of clarification of social welfare as a subject, social welfare provisions from the standpoint of the economic theories of Kazuo Okochi and Shoichi Kohashi are first explained. Then, relying fundamentally on Kohashi's theory, arguments regarding these provisions from the standpoint of sociological / functional / movement theory are explained by way of critique. In conclusion, problems are explained which arise when Kohashi's theory is applied to the practice of social work.

For large-scale certificate management of multi-tenant web servers, preloading numerous certificates for managing numerous hosts under the single server process results in increasing the required memory usage because of the respective page table entry manipulation, which might be a poor resource efficiency and a reduced capacity. To resolve this issue, we propose a method for dynamic loading of certificates bound to the hostnames found during the SSL/TLS handshake sequences without preloading, provided that the Server Name Indication (SNI) extension is available. We implemented the function of choosing the respective certificates with the ngx_mruby module, which extends web server functions using mruby with a small memory footprint while maintaining the execution speed.
