本研究は、兵庫県豊岡町の市街地を対象に、大正14(1925)年に発生した北但馬震災における行政と罹災民の動向とその復興過程における市街地の変容を検討した。公的な記録や新聞記事等の資料を用いて震災直後の被災地のバラックの展開状況を復原し、またバラック建設や商売の開始、公的機関の建造物の設置など、時間の経過とともに次第に変化する震災対応から、市街地が復興する過程にはまず「緊急措置」があり、その後「復興計画準備」と「復興計画実施」という段階が存在することを明らかにした。また震災による復興計画は豊岡町の景観に影響を及ぼし、昭和初期に新市街地が形成され、拡大していくこととなった。

This paper provides an in-depth exploration of a previously under-utilized Arabic source for the history of Islam in Southeast Asia. This text, Al-Nafas al-Yamani was compiled in the Yemen by Abd al-Rahman b. Sulayman al-Ahdal (d. 1250 H./1835 C.E.), and includes a biographical sketch of the Sumatran scholar Abd al- Samad b. Abd al-Rahman al-Jawi al-Palimbani. Through a close, annotated reading of that text this article develops new insights into the configuration of people and ideas populating specific nodes of trans-regional networks in Sumatra and Arabia in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. At the same time, it also brings to light important dimensions of Sufi belief and ritual practice during this important transitional period of Islamic history in Southeast Asia. This material is then further explored through a discussion of some ways in which documents of this type might be approached by historians working on the intellectual and cultural history of early modern Southeast Asia more broadly.

本稿では,大皿料理のように,共食者が料理を共有する共食場面において,しばしば見られる「遠慮のかたまり」という状況がどのような状況かを明らかにすべく,大皿上の料理の残量が最後の一個,最後の一口に近づくにつれ,食事をしている人々の取り分け行動にどのような特徴,変化がみられるのかに着目した分析,考察を行った.その結果,食事開始中盤から終了前にかけて,取り分け行動の停滞,停止が起こり,その停滞,停止直後に起こった取り分け行動が短い間隔で 2,3 度連続して起こることがわかった.この,停滞→取り分け行動の活発化という流れが「遠慮のかたまり」につながる最後の一個に向けての準備行動である可能性があることがわかった. : In this paper, we try to analyze serving food to reveal a situation of “the last on piece of food”. When we analyzed video data of table talks with some platters, we focused on serving food for each platter and for dining table. As a result, we confirmed situations of suspending serving foods from middle stage to end often occurred. In addition, we found after suspending serving food, serving food occurred continuously for short time span. A series of suspending and activating serving food is important for us to handle a situation of “the last one piece of food”.

A new species of Ryukyu spiny rat, Tokudaia tokunoshimensis was described in the specimens originating from Tokunoshima Island in the southernmost region of Japan. The populations of Tokudaia are separately distributed only in Amami-Oshima, Tokunoshima, and Okinawa-jima Islands. We have described the osteological and external morphological characteristics and clarified the osteometrical distinctions among the three populations using the skull and skin collections. All external dimensions of head and body length, tail length, hindfoot length and ear length were larger in the Tokunoshima population than in the other two in mean value. The raw osteometrical data separated the Tokunoshima Island population from the other two in all measurements except for the length of molar row in the Okinawa-jima Island population. The principal component analysis also demonstrated that the skulls from the Tokunoshima Island population were morphologically distinct from those of the other populations. Here, from these findings, we point out that the Tokunoshima population of Tokudaia should be regarded as an independent species from the two other populations.
