This article, by examining various inhumane methods of execution used previously in Europe, in particular the horrible guillotine which was used during the French Revolution until its abolition in 1981, concludes that the death penalty is nothing less than an extremely cruel form of punishment and that under the principle of retribution (the Law of Talion), the death penalty for any criminal is never justifiable. Secondly, in Baudelaire's views, human beings' "innate animal instincts" [nature] have led humans to commit grave crimes such as murder, and as long as humans exist in this world, various crimes will continue to be committed. Finally, taking into account the Catholic dogma and the doctrine of Joseph de Maistre, who, on one hand, believes in the theosophical effect of execution as punishment for a criminal, but on the other hand, affirms that the true way to control humans' "innate animal instincts" is to recognize the significance of the original sin expiated by the Passion, it is possible to find ways to solve the capital punishment debate. According to Joseph de Maistre, all human beings could be linked together through the "unity" embodied in Jesus Christ, who sacrificed his life, so that any criminal can be saved by means of the doctrine of "reversibility" and the dogma of "Communion of Saints".

The arguments on the privatization of Osaka Municipal Transportation Bureau are continued now. However, discussions of urban policy and transport policy are insufficient decisively. In addition, merits and demerits are accompanied by privatization. The increase in efficiency of management is required, however judging public works only by enterprise profits has too many problems. For example reduction of bus transit has serious influence for persons with disabilities and elderly people who cannot drive a car. Civil authority, transportation operators and users must discuss about social role of public transport enough. In order to stir up further discussions, we will report the results of the discussions by the members of the NPO KOALA to advocate urban planning by public transport.

This article is a part of a series of the researches that chase the history of reception of Spinozism in Germany, and is the second half of an oral report at the congress of the Spinoza Society of Japan (at Osaka University, on Feb. 27, 2010) which took up Moses Mendelssohn's debut work "Philosophical conversations". In that report, his understanding of Spinozism which appeared in the book was surveyed, and its historical contexts were confirmed. In the first half, the context from Wolf to Mendelssohn, and in the second half, the context from Mendelssohn to his successors was treated respectively. This paper presents the latter. We have pointed out Mendelssohn's understanding of the similarity and difference between Spinoza and Leibniz. In this paper we trace the reception of the two points after Mendelssohn. On the similarity of Spinoza and Leibniz: Mendelssohn saw the similarity of both between Spinoza's parallelism and Leibniz's preestablished harmony theory, and this understanding was criticized by Lessing, was quoted affirmatively by E. Platner, and was criticized again by Heydenreich. On the difference of Spinoza and Leibniz: Mendelssohn considered that Spinoza had subsumed all things in the god and Leibniz had recognized the outside of God. This consideration was accepted by Platner and Maimon and through these two philosophers, Spinozism was formulated as "Acosmism". The famous formulation of Hegel that Spinozism is Acosmism is not Hegel's original one, but the conclusion based on these contexts.

大学の教員養成課程において発達障害に関する内容を学ぶように通知されているが,各種テキストをみると概論が述べられている程度で,学校で勤務をした時には大変困ることが想像できる。また,学校不適応者に発達障害や発達障害が疑われる児童・生徒が多い。そこで,学生が教師になった時に,すぐに役立つように,対処法なども少し述べたテキストの作成を意図した。そこで,本稿は,発達障害について概略を述べると共に,学校現場で最も多いと思われるアスペルガー症候群やその傾向がある生徒について不適応事例やその対応方法,そして予防対策について記していくこととした。

本研究は、第一次世界大戦後から1950年代後半までを対象時期として設定し、象徴天皇制の思想的基盤の解明を試みようとしたものである。第一次世界大戦後の世界的君主制の危機を踏まえ、日本でも近代天皇制の再編に関する構想が提起された。昭和戦前期にももちろん断絶した部分もあるが、構想が継続し、敗戦後へと繋がった。それは、大衆化・現代化といった問題への対応だったと考える。

In recent years, Japanimation, which has been well received around the world, has grown into a powerful wave and given birth to a growing number of "otaku", and China is no exception. At the same time, the Chinese and Japanese governments have also felt the power of this trend. A range of policies and regulations have emerged one after another regarding creation of national brands and revitalization of industry. However we must admit that some difficulties still exist in implementing those policies, because it is the anime fans themselves who create the Japanimation trend. Why is the China's younger generation so deeply fascinated with Japanimation? Let us use the Japanimation fans' view of Japan and their real feeling on Japanimation as the starting point in exploring the psychological realm of Chinese youth.

本研究の目的は,プロゴルフ選手におけるドライバーショットの飛距離による評価についてである。対象としたプロゴルフ選手は,117名の男子および107名の女子である。プロゴルフ選手の2011年度ドライビング・ディスタンス・コンテストにおける平均飛距離,身長および体重を資料とした。体表面積は,身長と体重から藤本の方法で求めた。比体表面積は,体重に対する体表面積の割合で求めた。その結果,男子で D.D./s=225s^-1.16, 女子で D.D./s=211s^-1.11 が得られた。また,男子では, log (D.D.) = 1.0369・logS-0.4057・logW 女子では, log (D.D.) = 1.0768・logS-0.4475・logW が得られた。プロゴルフ選手の理論式を用いてそれぞれの飛距離の求められた理論値から実測値の飛距離を評価できることが示唆された。

The music of Naomi Shemer (1930-2004), one of the Israel's most prolific songwriters, has a deep relationship with the history of modern Israel: her songs have been called 'the diary of Israel'. She started her career as a composer and a songwriter in the period when Israel was granted independence. Through her music she played the role of a "spokesman" for Israeli people in every moment of the history of modern Israel, expressing the joy of the founding of the new nation, the pain of wars with neighboring countries, and prayers for peace. She wrote of the beauty of her homeland, 'the land of Israel', and her songs themselves became a home for the hearts of many Israeli people. Besides traditional songs, children growing up in the new Jewish society did not have any of their own songs, but Shemer satisfied this lack. This work briefly shows the life of Naomi Shemer and the character of her literature and music. It offers a commentary on phrases from Jewish traditional literature quoted in her masterpiece, Jerusalem of Gold, and searches for the reason why the piece acquired the title "the second national hymn of Israel".

平成7年1月17日に阪神・淡路大震災がおきてから,もうすぐ20年になる。この間,筆者は,防災に役立つ情報システムとして,時空間情報基盤とそれをとりまく環境整備,特に自治体が防災に役立てるための仕組みづくりに取り組んできた。研究ノートとして,その経緯を紹介する。今回は,そもそも筆者が防災分野の研究活動に関わることになった経緯と,阪神淡路大震災直後の取り組みについて主に記す。

We have a variety of the social problems like the poverty, the human right, environmental problems and so on, especially after 1990's. But they identify that the central government or the municipality at fiscal risk don't have the capability enough to respond to such social problems. Therefore, the enterprises which detect the solution of such social problems in their business recently emerge. We call them the social enterprise. We examine the movements and the development of the social enterprise in this article.

Few people knows the fact that the first home-manufactured motorcycle with gasoline engine was produced by Narazo Shimazu in 1909. On the first part of this paper, I explain how N. Shimazu developed his gasoline engine from the technical point of view. The procedure of producing motorcycles, cyclecars, airplanes is discussed, introducing several episodes how he sometimes failed as a pioneer. I discuss N. Shimazu as a pioneer and as an owner of an automobile school and factory of motorcycles. After he became an engineer in a company, he began the study of combustion chamber. The first home-manufactured motorcycle was produced a century ago. Then a lot of small companies began to produce motorcycles. They were too small scale companies to call them industry. On the second part of this paper, motorcycle industry after the world war II is discussed. The innovation of motorcycle technology occurred from 1950's to 1960's. Then the motorcycle industry in Japan became the strongest in the world. I discussed case studies of Honda motor and Ymaha motor in Japan.

Collections of the claim with interrogation to debtors in Northwest China in the Han Dynasty is a debt collection lawsuit. A Han wooden strips document named the case of the charge against K'ou En by the Commander, His Honour Su, is one case of the debt collection lawsuit. Through the examination of the case of the charge against K'ou En by the Commander, the feature of a debt collection lawsuit in the Han Dynasty can be made clear. Until recently, however, it was thought that the case of the charge against K'ou En by the Commander was a case of a criminal action. In this paper, first I prove the case of the charge against K'ou En by the Commander was not a criminal action but a debt collection lawsuit. Secondly, I will explain the case of the charge against K'ou En by the Commander as a case of a debt collection lawsuit. It will become clear that a debt collection lawsuit in the Han Dynasty had no judicial decision and no investigation by an officer.

ある地域社会の成員には「場の正統性」が共有されており,彼らの行為選択の形式は相同性をもつが,同時にそこには,「偏倚的」な実践も現れる。本稿では,P. ブルデューの「ハビトゥス」と「実践」を軸に据えた経済人類学の見地から,近代的市場システムに巻き込まれつつある地域社会の様相を考察する。また,そこでは,R. ファース,J.A. シュムペーター,C. ギアツの視座が重要な貢献をなしている。偏倚的実践を生成するために利用可能な文化資本と,それを蓄積し利用できる力能を備えた主体,そして彼の実践とその「場」に現れる他者の諸実践との相互作用による「場の正統性」の変革という点で,社会環境の変化に順化しようとする個人のさまを見る。

まだ病名が付いていなかったHIV/AIDSが,1981年,アメリカで最初にメディアに報じられた時は『Medical Mystery(メディカルミステリー)』として騒がれていた。丁度その頃,多久和は1981年〜1982年にかけて米国ネブラスカ大学にバスケットボール留学,成山は1980年からオレゴン大学に居て,当時まだ名前もない原因不明の奇病に取り組む医師団が,宇宙服のような防護服を着てビニールカーテンの中で治療にあたっている様子を現地のニュースで見ていた。この病気がAIDSと病名付けられたのは1982年である。その数年後,世界AIDSデー参加のために来日したHIV感染者やAIDSを発症した人達が,日本の入国審査場で入国を拒否された事件は,インターネットの無い時代であったが即座に世界中に流れた。本報告は,そのようなHIV/AIDS 流行開始時期の1980年代を振り返ってみた。
