本研究はスキゾイド的なクライエントとの精神分析的心理療法における行き詰まりと治療機序について実証的に探索したものである。15名の事例報告者から得られた言語データを修正版グラウンデッドセオリーアプローチによって分析し,6つのカテゴリーと25の概念が生成された。そして,その結果をもとに臨床プロセスが明らかにした。そのなかでセラピストが介入すべきか介入を控えるべきかというジレンマにもとづく「交流をめぐるアンビヴァレンス」を抱えることの重要性が示され,それは受身性と能動性を共存させる治療姿勢であることが明確にされた。そして,最後に精神分析的心理療法がパーソナリティのタイプに関わらず,すべてに共通する治療機序を備えているのか,あるいは特にスキゾイド的なクライエントに治療的反応を示しやすいのかという二種の新たな問いが生成された。This article empirically clarifies impasse and therapeutic mechanisms in psychoanalytical psychotherapy with schizoid personality patients. The language data of 15 case reports were analyzed by the Modified Grounded Theory Approach. The results yielded six categories and 25 concepts. The author clarified the clinical process of the psychoanalytical psychotherapy with schizoid personality patients. The analysis indicated the importance of holding “ambivalence on communication” based on the dilemma of whether the therapist should intervene or refrain from intervention. It was demonstrated that the therapeutic attitude allows the coexistence of passivity and activity. Finally, And, questions were raised regarding whether psychoanalytical psychotherapy provides a therapeutic mechanism common to all despite personality type or it is easy to show the therapeutic reaction to schizoid personality patients in particular.

This paper aims at elucidating the historical settings of the great uprising of the native Egyptians against the Ptolemies, lasting from 206 BC to 186 BC, in the wider Mediterranean context. This internal affair has traditionally been interpreted as a symptom of general decline of the Ptolemaic rule, though close observations of the course of the revolts strongly suggest that both foreign and domestic policies of the Ptolemaic court as well as that of the influential political body of Egyptian priests toward the rebels had recognizable relations to the political situations outside Egypt, the advance of the Romans into the East Mediterranean in particular. The mutual agreement between Ptolemy V and the Egyptian priests (Memphis decree) was announced just after the battle of Cynoscephalae and the Ptolemies mounted s senous counteroffensive against the rebels only after the treaty of Apamea, which removed the direct threat from the Seleucids. The fact that diplomatic activities of Komanos preceded his final suppression of the rebellion in 186 also corroborates the view that the foreign and domestic affairs of this period were closely interrelated under the Ptolemaic rule.

This report introduces the Nagoya University Digital Library of Western Books released on the Internet in July 2018. This digital library was funded by Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research with the aim of widening the reach of the rare Western books held by Nagoya University Library. The feature of this digital library is that detailed descriptive catalogues are attached to the Western classical accounts that are stored. Essentially, the works published before the nineteenth century are not necessarily of the same edition even if they are printed at the same time, because of the historical features of the binding process. By merely digitizing the entire content of the work and publishing it in the Digital Library, the user was perhaps not able to understand the characteristics of the work. This digital library was created in consideration of this aspect. However, because of budgetary constraints, only publications that are rare and highly suitable for publication globally are given preference for digitization, and the number of works currently being published is 132. In this report, we shall introduce the characteristics and usage of this digital library.
