It is generally accepted that the agonists, full agonist and partial agonist, interact with the same receptors according to the classical receptor mechanisms. We tried to modify the drug receptor mechanisms in muscarinic cholinoceptors, α1-adrenoceptors and β-adrenoceptors. In the muscarinic cholinoceptor, there are two subtypes of M3-cholinoceptors, propylbenzilylcholine mustard (PrBCM)-sensitive receptors and PrBCM-resistant ones. The full agonists contract the longitudinal muscle through the interaction of two cholinoceptors, PrBCM-sensitive and-resistant ones, while the partial agonists produce the contrac-tion through only the activation of PrBCM-sensitive ones. Upon activation PrBCM-sensi-tive receptors may use cytosolic Ca2+ more effectively than PrBCM-resistant receptors. In the α1-adrenoceptor, the full agonist induces contraction through both ai A and α1B, subtypes and the partial agonist through only α1A, subtype. The adrenoceptors activated by full agonist may be partly different from that by partial agonist in the arteries. In both the common iliac artery and thoracic aorta treated with the irreversible antagonist, phenoxybenzamine the slopes of schild plots of the results obtained from an antagonism between full agonist (phenylephrine) and α1A-selective competitive antagonist (WB4101) equal to 1, suggesting that phenoxybenzamine preferably interacts with α1B, subtype. In the β-adrenoceptor, the pD2-values of the partial agonists obtained from the concentration-response curves are significantly different from their pA2-values against full agonist (isoprenaline). The Scatchard plot of the specific [3H] befunolol (the partial agonist) binding showed two affinity sites of the receptors in the absence of Gpp (NH) p but the low affinity site was reduced while the high affinity site was not affected in the presence of Gpp (NH) p.The β-adrenergic partial agonists are able to discriminate these two different binding sites of the β-adrenoceptors. Our results suggest that the receptors activated by full agonists are partly different from those by partial agonists in muscarinic cholinoceptors, α1-and β-adrenoceptors, and that the irreversible antagonist can discriminate between the sites interact with full agonists and those with partial agonists in muscarinic cholinoceptors and α1-adrenoceptors.

This study is a critical anthology of planning methods in determining the relative proportions of different departments / units within hospitals and the size of the hospital itself. It also compares the existing planning method theories and thc planning principles undertaken in practical projects. This is a quantitative research on the basis of dimensional parameters of elements that comprise the hospital. The result of the factor analysis divided the parametrical elements into two broad groups; (A) Capacity (is the numerical expression of number of units likes beds) (B) Rotation (is the measure of use frequency of facilities in a hospital). Especially, the research shows the importance of 'rotation' in the planning process.

思春期特発性側弯症(I群)62名,非特発性側弯症(N群)34名を対象に,Cobb角,骨密度,骨代謝マーカーを測定・比較しCobb角に関連する因子を検討した.Cobb角は両群ともに腰椎BMDと負の相関を,I群では骨代謝マーカーと正の相関を認めた.側弯症の進行に骨量減少・高回転型骨代謝の関与が示唆され,今後縦断研究によりこれらが進行予測に有用かを検討したい.

Han-Chiku technique, which can be regarded as a kind of compaction method in geotechnical sense, was a quite practical and effective construction means in ancient China. It was widely used in various earth works and foundations, such as city wall, dam and tomb et al. In historical remains of China, large quantities of applied instances of this means can be found. During the period from 2000 to 2001,geotechnical investigations, including in situ tests and laboratory tests, on some historical remains in China were carried out. In this paper on the basis of these test results and some literature concerning Han-Chiku, the development, soil materials and implement of Han-Chiku technique are discussed from geotechnical engineering point of view.

This is the world's first attempt to explore the significance of the lost Chinese Buddhist text entitled Chu yao lü yi 出要律儀"Clarification of the Essence of Regulations in the Buddhist Monastic Code, " by exhaustively collecting its fragmentary quotations in later times (ninety-five passages in all) accompanied by Japanese translation and philological notes, and by comprehensive evaluation of the Chu yao lü yi as well. The present article has reached the following conclusions : The Chu yao lü yi was compiled in the early sixth century in the Liang dynasty 梁, and immediately cited in the fascicle three of the Fan fanyü ;翻梵語 "Translations of Indic Terms" arguably ascribed to the monk Baochang 寶唱(d. u.) in the Liang. The Chu yao lü yi was most probably consists of the two sections ; namely, literal quotations of the Chinese Buddhist translations of the monastic code (vinaya) as Major Section and the explanation of Buddhist terms which is called "Yin yi 音義(Pronunciations and Meanings of Words)" as Minor Section. All the fragmentary quotations recorded in the present article belong to the "Yin yi" section. The Yin yi section includes five kinds of information : 1 entry word ; 2 old translations and phonetic transcription prior to Kumārajīva 鳩摩羅什(ca. 350-409) ; 3 explanation by "specialist of monastic code (chi lü zhe持律者)" ; 4 explanation by "linguist (sheng lun zhe 聲論者, i. e., Chinese scholar-monk on the Sanskrit)" ; and explanation by "foreign monk (hu seng 胡僧)." It is noteworthy that phonetic transcriptions of Sanskrit words shown by the linguist are sometimes incorrect. The Yin yi section is highly valued as the linguistic explanation of Buddhist terms in the early sixth century prior to what is called Yiqie jing yin yi一切經音義"Pronunciations and Meanings [of Buddhist terms] in the Whole Canon" such as that of Xuan'ying玄應(the mid-sixth centurury). The Yin yi of the Chu yao lü yi are not free from ambiguity about the exact correspondence between Sanskrit and Chinese phonemes, and about the distinction between short and long vowels in Sanskrit, as well as other points. Further, the text is not equipped with systematic treatment regarding the notation of Skt. consonant cluster such as pra-, -tra, and sma. It is indeed true that the linguistic aspect of the Chu yao lü yi is far from satisfactory, but the composition of the Yin yi in a transitional period brought Chinese Buddhist linguistics to the ground-breaking production of comprehensive Yin yi texts called Yiqie jing yin yi in the late sixth century and thereafter.
