This study aims to examine the effects of a speaker's use of dialect on the impression given by that person. The experimental conditions were as follows : (1) the speaker used a common language and a dialect with appropriate code-switching according to the situation; (2) the speaker used the same, but with inappropriate code-switching; (3) the speaker consistently used a common language; and (4) the speaker consistently used dialect. The subjects consisted of two hundred and eighty undergraduate students, some of whom were native speakers of the dialect while others were not. The experiment revealed that the impression given by and the interpersonal attractiveness of a speaker who used a common language and a dialect with appropriate code-switching according to the situation were more favorable. On the other hand, the impression given by and the interpersonal attractiveness of a speaker with inappropriate code-switching were less favorable. These results were discussed from the viewpoint of the evaluation of the dialects in Japan.

研究の国際化に伴い, ISAの大会に参加する日本人は急速に増加している. ISAのリサーチ・コミティを, 今後どのように各自の研究に活かせばよいか. その方策を探るのが本稿の目的である. ISAのリサーチ・コミティを研究者組織として見た場合, いくつかの際立った特徴がある. 本稿では, それらの特徴を他の研究組織の特徴と比較しながら, 明示化する. その後, リサーチ・コミティを舞台として国際共同研究を進めるためには, どのような個人戦略や注意が必要になるか, 共同研究に伴うリスクを交えながら論じる.

Human time perception is known to be distorted by adaptation to visual motion stimuli. Many studies have investigated time perception distortion and its underlying mechanisms, but their results have been inconsistent. This may be because they have used different adaptation durations, as it is known that time duration can affect visual processing levels. Previous studies have elucidated how time perception is distorted under adaptation conditions of a few seconds or much longer, but have not investigated this distortion under shorter durations. Therefore, we investigated how time is distorted and how time perception mechanisms are affected under short adaptation durations (e.g., <2 s). We found that a short duration produced a characteristic time distortion. In addition to orientation selectivity, we confirmed a transient effect on time perception distortion. These results suggest that visual processing concerning orientation selectivity contributes to time perception, and that transient components of the adaptation effect are useful for investigating the mechanisms of adaptation-based perceived time distortion.

本学では,キャンパスネットワークを学内の部局が分割運用している。このため、ネットワークサービスが部局内に閉じており,学内者のユーザ情報は複数のデータベースに分散管理されている.このような環境で全学共通の無線 LAN サービスを実現するため,多様な無線 LAN システムと複数のユーザデータベースを連携させる運用方式を検討し,実験サービス ”utroam” として学内に広く実験展開している.本稿では,本方式の仕組みと利用動向に関する評価を述べる.

A l'age de 22 ans, Descartes a ecrit une courte etude sur la theorie musicale intitulee Compendium music〓, etude qui jusqu'a maintenant n'a pas ete suffisamment evaluee ni dans l'histoire de la musique, ni dans celle de la philosophie, ni non plus l'histoire des sciences. Son importance consiste dans le fait qu'il developpe une theorie traditionnelle de la musique. C'est-a-dire que, bien que la musique (Musica) ait traditionnellement ete consideree, a cote de l'arithmetique, la geometrie et l'astronomie (quadrivium), une discipline intellectuelle et qu'elle ait fait des proportions numeriques son pivot doctrinal, Descartes la traite, nouveaute radicale, au point de vue de la sensation (sensus). Le but de cet article est de mettre en evidence le role du sensus que Descartes a assigne au secours dans la theorie musicale et plus precisement dans sa theorie de la proportion musicale.
