So-called “Information Society” has witnessed various discourses on the dynamic transition from the capitalist to the post-capitalist society. Although these discourses have been around the socio-economic dimensions, the urgent need is the philosophical or epistemological elaboration of the unexperienced and unpredictable aspect of the newly coming society. To clarify these issues, this article introduces Japanese Government's information policy, then discusses the changing phases of the concept of the “Information.” The The postmodernist thinking that knowledge and information is the axis principle of advanced societies, has been joined with the socio-political theory of the “Information Society, ” some theorists develop the new level of the discussion. Through the introduction of these discussions, this article tries to elucidate the theoretical meaning of the “Information Society.”

Sein und Zeit is a phenomenological ontology thinking about existential mind experiences, different from the transcendental philosophy guided with a purely reflexive thinking. Its far ancestor is Hegelian Phenomenology of Spirit. Hegel tried to restore the totality of human mind sharpened into reason by Kant. Absolute spirit is the highest for him and philosophy is almost over religion, while in Kant's philosophy reason stayed on the domain of human capacity. In this sense, Hegel was atheist. European Middle Age thinking was dominated by Augustin's theology considering this secular world is nothing, because God is the being and the best like Sun. European humanist philosophers should fight against this theology to restore human being. This evolution was realized by Descartes: he declared 'I think, therefore I am'. Man got being. How can we live in this world without God? This became a common subject for men of the modern world. Recognizing the most important value in Man (Homme), J. J. Rousseau considered the realization of Man in the history is the most important humanist object to realize. The notion of man is however too abstract and too homogenous, being too universal, for human being in the reality driven by various emotions, various reasons is heterogeneous and specific one.

In this essay I argued the concept of person which underlies some ethical issues today, such as moral justification of abortion, euthanasia of heavily disabled infants, etc. Michael Tooley, for example, argued that only those self-conscious are the 'person' who has full moral right to live. The argument has received much criticism (in Japan) that it presupposes a very narrow idea of a human being, namely person as rational self-conscious agent, which comes from John Locke or Immanuel Kant. The criticism on the other hand emphasizes the relational aspect of a human being and argues that, even if a fetus itself is not a 'person', he/she is for some others, such as his/her parents, a human being which must be morally protected. 1 point out that the 'relational aspect' of a human being is not supposed to consist in that being itself, but only in the concrete concern that others have to that being, because what the being itself is does not matter there. As a result, the anti-personal theory seems only to accept the case where a human being has nobody to have a concrete relation to him/her or the case where a human being is not treated as such by others. I hint at a more' fundamental problem that there is no other way to talk about a human being itself than as a self-conscious agent.

In the second part of his Summa Theologiae, Thomas Aquinas mediates a conflicts between two ideals of human excellency, the magnanimitas and humiltias. The ideal of magnanimitiy is quintessence of elitism in ancient Greek political society, which praises the man of pride and self-esteem who also contemns the inferior persons lacking meritorious characters. Aristotle glorifies this virtue in the Book IV of his Nicomachean Ethics as a summit and ornament of the all virtues; this promotion was troublesome among the medieval Christian intellectuals, because such ideal of human excellency seems highly incompatible with the virtue of humiliats, typically Christian virtue of the man of self-humiliation, gentle and humble in heart. ST. Thomas analyses these two virtues in his Summa and determines and redefines their proper functions in total system of morality. Magnanimity is now classified under the virtue of fortitude and humility is installed in a subclass of temperance. The function of the former class of virtues is to agitate and encourage wimpy will-power, whereas the latter restraints and repress excessive appetite. The two virtues are twin necessary parts, an accelerator and break controlling and adjusting human motivation. However, in his reconcilliation of the two virtues, Angelic Doctor seems downgrades the ideal of humility from the level of the gifts of Divine grace infused into the Christians, to the level of only human excellency accessible to even pagans beneath the limits of natural capacities. Does Aquinas dismiss the religious dimension of the virtue of humility in order to reconcile it with the pagan Greek morality? In this article, we investigate the essence of Aquinas's concept of humility and try to manifest its preconditions. According to St. Thomas, the essential condition of humility is "reverence for God' inherent in human nature. In other words, Aquinas admits that the humanity is created as naturally religious. St. Thomas downgrades the status of humility to the level of human nature, as well as he upgrades the human nature to the transcendent dimension. Humility as the just conduct vis-à-vis God is now reinterpreted by Angelic Doctor as a virtue of common religious humanity.

In this article, first of all, I want to propose the possibility of "anime philosophy" as a new genre. When we hear the word "philosophy," we usually think of reading difficult classic books. Especially in academic society, this is a mainstream idea. However, philosophy has more possibilities because it means seeking the essence through thinking. In that sense, we could philosophize not just by reading difficult books, but by watching anime films, as well. Indeed, some kinds of anime works are more philosophical than traditional philosophy books. Miyazaki Hayao's anime films are such examples because they always make me philosophize about his deeper thoughts behind his work. Second of all, in order to prove my hypothesis, I want to focus on the concept of "neighborness," as the essence of Miyazaki's anime. One of my intentions is to propose neighborness as a global philosophy which was born in Japan and could be applied even in the global society. In the end, I want to broaden my horizons to world peace. The world is suffering from some persistent global issues, including wars, terrorist attacks, environmental problems, and poverty. I truly believe anime philosophy as symbolized by the concept of neighborness will solve those problems. We shouldn't face the problem directly all the time. We sometimes need to neighbor each other. This brings us to a completely new perspective.

長野県東筑摩郡『神社誌』は、柳田国男および文部省国民精神文化研究所哲学科助手堀一郎、東京高等師範学校講師和歌森太郎の指導・助言により、東筑摩教育会が昭和一八年度から実施した『東筑摩郡誌別篇』氏神篇編纂事業のなかで作成されたもので、東筑摩郡内の一七一社におよぶ氏子を有する神社である氏神一社ごとに「総記」「神職」「祭」「神社をめぐる氏子生活」「祝殿」の五項目に関する氏子の語りを、東筑摩教育会教員が記録した「神社誌」である。東筑摩郡『神社誌』が平成一八年三月に刊行された国立歴史民俗博物館基幹研究「戦争体験の記録と語りに関する資料論的研究」の『翻刻資料集』二に収録された理由は、『神社誌』が国立歴史民俗博物館基幹研究資料報告書一四『戦争体験の記録と語りに関する資料調査』と同じく「戦争体験の語り」に関する貴重な記録であること、および『神社誌』が戦時下の氏神が果たした機能、戦時下の氏神信仰と祭祀の諸相、氏子制度・隣組・部落会、学校など氏神を支える社会的基盤を考察できる「戦時中に書かれた記録」であることによる。本稿は、右のような問題意識をふまえ、東筑摩郡寿村(現松本市)『神社誌』を対象に、八冊におよぶ寿村『神社誌』の記述を、『戦争体験の記録と語りに関する資料調査』と『神社誌』における話者の語り方の位相に着目しながら、役場・学校所蔵資料などの記録(資料)と語り(記憶)の視点から検討する作業を通じて、『神社誌』の資料論的意義を考察したものである。戦時下の氏神に関する氏子(個人)の語りは、どのようなプロセスをへてムラ(集団)の語りとして記述され、東筑摩郡『神社誌』という記録(資料)に結実したのだろうか。

Guo Moruo, prior to coming to Japan in 1914, got married with a woman his parents had determined. He could not feel affection for his wife, and engaged in free love with Sato Tomi, a Japanese woman he met after coming to Japan, leading to marriage with her out of legal system.It should have been a longed love and an ideal marriage for Guo Moruo who experienced love only after coming to Japan. Nevertheless, upon going beyond Platonic relations, their love turned something undutiful and inadmissible to him because he could not give his virginity in spite of destroying her virginity. As a consequence, many of his love poems somehow cast a dark shadow.Young men in the intellectual class of Japan at that time were supposed to be going to live a life as an elite bearing the destiny of the state on his shoulders. However, as a matter of fact, they agonized about their love in connection with their family (parents) rather than about the connection between an individual and the state. The self of Guo Moruo awakened in Japan was that of Chinese students, nevertheless, it was the same agony among young men in Japanese intellectual class in the Taisho Era. Guo Moruo agonized in the Taisho Era in Japan about the issues concerning family and concerning an individual. Guo Moruo performed creative activities amid such agony, resulting in love with his sweetheart accompanying something unpleasant, which influenced on his works noticeably.

本年度は基本的な文献のサーベイを中心に研究を行った。第一に金融化論に関する文献の検討を行った。ポスト・ケインジアンによるものを中心に、金融化論において政策がどのような役割を果たし、どのような作用を及ぼしているかという点を検討した。第二に、マクロ経済レジーム論の検討を行った。ここでは、近年のボワイエなどによって展開されているレギュラシオン理論の金融主導型レジームと認知資本主義論のレジーム論を対象にサーベイを行い、政策がどのような機能を果たし、マクロ経済連関にどのような影響を与えているかを検討した。第三に、認知資本主義論の検討を行った。認知資本主義論はネグリ、ハートの影響の下、労働の変容とIT化が政治、社会に及ぼす影響だけでなく、経済に与える影響に関しても分析を行っている。ここでは、経済学的な分析におけるネオ・リベラリズム論への言及を中心にサーベイを行い、金融主導型レジームとネオ・リベラリズム政策の関係を考察した。第四にネオ・リベラリズム関係の文献の検討を行った。金融を重視した文献も含めてネオ・リベラリズムの概念を明らかにした上で、ネオ・リベラリズム政策の概要とその役割についてサーベイを行い、金融(化)との関係を中心に検討した。第五に、先駆的なネオ・リベラリズム研究であるフーコーの『生政治の誕生』を中心に、フーコーのネオ・リベラリズム観についての検討を行った。成果としては第一に、一般向けではあるが、「経済政策の哲学―ネオリベラリズムのフーコーによる分析―」(県民コミュニティーカレッジ、2017年10月25日、大月短期大学)という題で講演を行い、フーコーがネオ・リベラリズムをどのように捉えているかという点を検討した。第二に、ミンスキーにおける流動性選好説を検討した論文「ミンスキーと流動性選好」(『大月短大論集』第49号)を発表した
