This paper explores London citizens' attitudes towards immigrant presence, particularly, their legal status in early modern London. First, I will describe an outline of the legal status that immigrants acquired, focusing on denization and a London citizenship for them in the latter half of the sixteenth century. Second, I will investigate the meaning of the 'freedom of the City' and its privileges for immigrants. The evidence shows that although they were crucial to their success in London, only a small percentage of them enjoyed those privileges. The national government could have encouraged the City's authority to grant them legal status. The introduction of such a policy, however, garnered fierce opposition from Londoners, as the citizenship of London was the core value of local identity and Englishness as well as political and economic rights. To conclude, the City government could have continued imposing strict economic and social restrictions on immigrants for their lineage's sake.

This paper provides an overview of the studies of John Locke's works in postwar Japan. Among his works, the Second Treatise of Government attracted much interest because of its social contract theory. Anticipating the development of democracy in Japan, post-war studies of the Second Treatise often disputed whether Locke's political theory provided an applicable model and raised the issue of whether Locke's theory of "trust" should be examined in relation to his idea of the English legal tradition.

寺社,木橋,古民家といった日本の伝統的木構造物では,擬宝珠,端隠し,根巻き,釘隠しなどと呼ばれる銅製金物が,防水の目的で施工されてきた。これら銅金物を施工した建築物では,金物の下方の木材部材の生物劣化が強く抑制されているものがある。これは,金物から溶出した銅が部材に移行し,木材保護効果を発揮したのではないかと考えられる。銅の溶出を検証するために,三条大橋高欄の銅擬宝珠付き木柱や釘隠し付き横木の表面と,橋のたもとに設置された防腐処理支柱の表面を,ハンドヘルド型蛍光X 線分析装置を用いて分析した。得られた蛍光X 線強度値から,FP 法に基づいて各元素の含有率を算出した。その結果,擬宝珠付き支柱表面では14の全測定点から銅が検出され,うち12点では防腐処理支柱表面で検出された銅含有率0.4%を上回った。今回の調査により,銅金物からは銅が溶出して周囲木材へ移行すること,また,その銅の量は木材の生物劣化抑制に十分寄与しうるレベルであることが確かめられた。

Social media such as Facebook and Twitter has been rapidly expanding over the past few years and the number of users reached about1 billion in 2012 all over the world. Users can mutually communicate their friends or general public by social media. Unlike otherexisting media on Internet, users easily disclose their personal information for the purpose of connecting with other users on socialmedia. Along with the rapid growth, each user may have various manners or norms on social media. However, the answer to "Whatkind of norm do users have?" or "Do they actually behave according to the norms?" is not given. The aim of this study is to clarifyuniversity students' norms and actual behavior on Twitter. In November 2012, the authors conducted questionnaire survey for studentsof 13 universities in Japan. The result shows that each user has their own behavioral norms, especially many users are stronglyconscious about privacy and copyright on Twitter. Moreover it was found that the norms are different by gender, although frequency ofuse does not affected users' norms.

インターネットの発達とともにWEB上には様々な情報が蓄積され,一般ユーザが自ら情報を発信するconsumer generated media(CGM)の発展はめざましい.ブログやソーシャルメディアの利用が一般ユーザで広まり,本稿ではTwitterのビッグデータとはどのようなものなのか,その具体的な内容について説明し,それらを応用した研究・実用事例を紹介する.最後に,実際にデータを使ってみたい方のために,データの収集方法について紹介する.

「私の象徴詩論」は、大手祐次の詩法を解き明かす重要なテクストである。祐次はAdolphe van Bever et Paul Leautaud; Poetes d'Aujourd'huiからマラルメやメーテルリンクの詩論を引用し、言葉を意味作用から解放する独自の詩法をつくりあげた。<象徴とは何か>という問題を言語の機能において捉えた祐次は、象徴主義からヴァレリーの純粋詩へ継承された<言語の音楽化>にも通底する、先駆的で卓越したレベルの象徴詩観を持っていた。

<p>民生委員における認知症が疑われる高齢者を発見した場合の地域包括支援センターへの援助要請意向とその関連要因を明らかにすることとした.</p><p>A県民生委員児童委員協議会に属する民生委員2,751名を対象に,属性,認知症進行遅延薬に関する知識,認知症の人に対する肯定的態度,地域包括支援センターへの援助要請意向について回答を求めた.統計解析として,まず地域包括支援センターへの援助要請意向について潜在クラス分析を用いて類型化を行った.次いで,各潜在クラスと属性等との関連性について,多項ロジットモデルを用いて検討した.</p><p>潜在クラス分析の結果,四つのクラスが抽出された.また多項ロジットモデルの結果,すべての潜在クラスに「認知症の人に対する肯定的態度」が有意な関連を示していた.</p><p>民生委員における地域包括支援センターへの援助要請意向の特徴は四つに類型化されることが明らかになった.また,地域包括支援センターへの援助要請意向を高めるためには,認知症の人に対する肯定的態度を高めることが重要である可能性が示唆された.</p>
