In this paper, the possibility of new technologies which will be developed by integrating art and technology is discussed by referring problems current technology is facing. It is also stated that, by combining virtual reality technologies and AI technologies, with artistic approaches, the possibility exists that fundamental technologies as well as systems and services for new communications can be created. As examples of this new direction, some projects are introduced that are being done at ATR Media Integration & Communications Research Laboratories.

An 11-year-old cat presented with nasal discharge and lacrimation and was diagnosed with nasal lymphoma. Although the cat showed favorable progression after undergoing chemotherapy, CT imaging demonstrated enlarged pulmonary nodules caused by Toxoplasma gondii. Following the cessation of chemotherapy, the cat was prescribed clindamycin hydrochloride for toxoplasmosis treatment; however, the cat developed kidney lymphoma and died. No T. gondii organisms were observed in the whole body necropsy specimens. It is known that immunocompromised human patients, including those who undergo chemotherapy, are considered at risk for toxoplasmosis. However, the risk of developing toxoplasmosis in cats undergoing chemotherapy is currently unknown. Findings from this case report suggest that cats with chemotherapy-resistant pulmonary masses might have a T. gondii infection rather than metastatic disease.

本論文は多くの市民による風力発電事業を行うためのビジネスモデルを提案している。グリーン・プレミアム・カードGPCが風力発電所建設資金を集めるために導入されており, グリーン・コミュニティが同時に形成される。GPCによるベネフィットがクレジットカード会社, 協賛会社, およびグリーン・コミュニティから提供される。このコミュニティは京都議定書, 環境税, 地域エコマネーの動向にもとづいて進んだ環境社会を形成するために寄与できる。

Acetyl glyceryl ether phosphorylcholines (platelet-activating factors ; PAFs), their enantiomers, and their analogues were efficiently synthesized in a stereochemically unambiguous manner starting from D-and L-tartaric acids as chiral synthons. The enantiomer of C16-PAF (S-comfiguration) showed far less activity than the natural PAF (R-configuration), and the N-methylpiperidine and N-methylpyrrolidine analogues were found to possess much higher activity than natural C16-PAF.

本研究は、自閉スペクトラム症幼児に対する刺激等価性の枠組みを用いた感情語の指導において、他者感情理解の刺激モダリティ間での般化を確認した後に、自己感情表出への派生効果を検討することを目的とした。プレポストデザインを用いた。大学内のプレイルームで実施された。他者感情理解の指導は、「喜び」「怒り」「悲しみ」「恐れ」の感情に対応する状況画を提示し、「どんな気持ち?」という質問をして感情語(音声)による回答を求めた。他者感情理解は、表情画、感情語(音声)、状況画、状況画の寸劇で測定した。自己感情表出は、セッション内で測定し、ゲームで勝ったあるいは負けた後などに、「どんな気持ち?」という質問をした。その結果、他者感情理解の刺激モダリティ間での般化および自己感情表出への派生効果が示された。自己感情表出の必要条件としての環境条件の設定が、本指導手続きに組み込まれていたことで、刺激般化が生じたと考えられた。
