2000年10月5日の第一回抽選から始まった番号選択式の宝くじLOTO6も,去年2015年9月7日には第1000回目の抽選を迎えた.この宝くじは,購入者が1~43の数字の中から6個の数字の組合せを選び,主催者が用意した抽選器が抽出する6つの番号(本線番号)のうち最低3個同じ番号が共有されれば賞金がもらえる.この抽選器を製作した業者や抽選器を操作する主催者が未熟であったり,不正を犯したりしない限り,この宝くじの本選番号を当てることは不可能である.ましてや,当選確率の高い組合わせを見つけることも同様に不可能である.それにもかかわらず,いくつかの雑誌やWebサイトで本選番号の予選法が述べられている.これらの予選法は,本選番号となりうるいずれの組合せも互いに独立で等しい確立で選ばれることを無視し,何らかの傾向があると主張するものである. 大抵は,ある種の性質を有する組合せを選ぶと当選する確立が高くなると主張する.しかしどの方法も,その事象の確立が高いだけのことで,その事象が数多く生起しても何ら不思議はないものである.これらの予測法は多岐に渡り,事象の起こる確率を計算することが困難であるものがほとんどであるので,このような俗説についてここでは述べない.あえて言っておくと,3回の異常な抽選を除いた997回の抽選で期待される1等の口数は2606口であるのに対し,実際の当選口数は2521口数でしかない.つまり,予想は役に立たないということだ.ここではあくまでも,抽選においては,どの本選番号も独立で同確立で選ばれることを仮定して計算を行う.この論文で議論するのは,ロト6購入者の番号の選び方に傾向があるのかを調べることである.雑誌の情報などではなく,購買者集団が自らの意思で,どのような組合せを選ぶのかを調べることである.機械(抽選器)には傾向はないが,人には傾向がある.その傾向を明らかにすれば,他の人々が選びそうな組合せを避けることができ,仮に1等が当たった場合には賞金を独り占めにする確立が高まる.

症例は48歳男性で, 骨盤部腫瘤による臀部痛を初発し, 腫瘤生検にて芽殖孤虫虫体を認め, 経過中に胸部X線及び胸部CT上肺浸潤影と多発性結節状陰影を呈し, 経気管支的肺生検 (TBLB) により好酸球浸潤を伴う非破壊性血管炎の所見を得, 芽殖孤虫の肺内寄生及び寄生に伴うPIE症候群と診断し, 駆虫剤及び副腎皮質ステロイド剤の投与を行ったが肺塞栓を併発し死亡した.

"Kulturgeschichte des Tennis":the masterpiece of H.Gillmeister is becoming the focus of public attention as a writing which reforms the history study of tennis until now. Especially, the hypotheses by H.Gillmeister which disprove the established theory thus far thought to bring a big dispute in future. However, I had a great doubts in parts in the argument about origin of "Tennisspiel" which was presented by H.Gillmeister. H.Gillmeister says that the "Tennisspiel" which established in monastery, namely Je de Paume, have no relationship with the old "Handballspiel" up to that time. I think they are however greatly related. Above all, I think the "Pelotaspiel" of Basque is the prior form of Je de Paume. Therefore, I pointed out the contradiction in the hypothesis by H.Gillmeister, and developed my own opinion which take the place of them in main subject. As the result, I clarify that the origin of "Pelotaspiel" is much older than Je de Paume, and the Je de Paume was "designed" by following the procedures of "Christian rationalization" of "Pelotaspiel". The grounds are as follows. (1)"Pelotaspiel" can seek its origin in the sun belief of Basque race, (2)"Pelotaspiel" was effective as a training for pebble fight, (3)many young men of Basque were training in the monastery aiming at churchman, (4)Je de Paume is the one which eliminate "pagan property" of "Pelotaspiel" in monastery and alter to a completely new form of ballgame, (5)Joust and football were the hints at that stage. Further, the hypothesis, supporting evidence, and reasoning stated above are wanting in "conclusive factor" as materials for study, therefore, to pile up further dispute is needed. Also I expect it.

After the Islamic conquest, the landscape of Egypt underwent great changes. Arabization gradually advanced, and the Coptic language died out. However, the Islamization of Egypt, which was slower than that of other Middle Eastern areas, was never completed. This paper explores the little known history of the Coptic community in this period through an analysis of the names of the bishops and their sees of the Nile Delta; it seeks to determine which sees were occupied and which became extinct. Of the twenty-four bishoprics listed in the synod of 1086, ten were extinct and four were on the verge of extinction by the end of the twelfth century. In the thirteenth to the fourteenth century, a different situation emerged: Bishoprics were restored or newly created, mostly in the Gharbiya Province, the richest part of the Delta. The Coptic Church was still functioning in the Delta, as is also attested by the itinerary of Yuhanna al-Rabban, a Coptic saint who wandered in the Gharbiya from the late thirteenth to the early fourteenth centuries.

The present study was conducted to revise the Japanese version of the Depressive States Checklist (JDSC), and to evaluate the construct validity of the revised version. Undergraduate students participated in two questionnaire studies. In Study 1, items with sufficient face validity and factorial validity representing the self-devaluative view and affective components were selected for the revised version of the J-DSC (JDSC-R). In Study 2, each factor of the J-DSC-R showed adequate construct validity because the correlation coefficients among the factors of the J-DSC-R, depressive symptoms, and depressive rumination generally supported the hypothesis. The J-DSC-R can be used to contribute to the understanding of vulnerability to depression.

全般性けいれんの後に発熱, 頭痛, 項部硬直が持続した16歳男児.ごく軽度の意識低下, 脳波で前頭葉に連続性棘徐波および髄液細胞数上昇, IgG indexの上昇とoligoclonal IgG band陽性を認めた.頭部MRIのFLAIR像で両側半球に散在する部分的灰白質の信号亢進が疑われた.髄膜脳炎と判断し, methylprednisolone pulse療法を実施したところ, 臨床症状と脳波異常は軽快した.髄液中の抗グルタミン酸受容体 (以下GluR) は入院時ε2・δ2に対するIgG・IgM抗体がともに陽性であり, 軽快時は両抗体がともに陰性となった.抗GluR抗体が陽性になる髄膜脳炎の中に, Rasmussen脳炎とは明らかに異なる経過をとり, 治療に反応する予後良好な一群が存在する可能性が強く示唆された.
