日本新薬株式会社安全性研究所で育成した実験用ネコ91頭の血液および血清生化学的検査値19項目について, 1~48カ月齢までの変動と性差を検討し以下の成績を得た。成長と関連して変動した項目が多く, 赤血球数 (RBC) , ヘモグロビン (Hb) , ヘマトクリット (Ht) , 赤血球恒数, GPT, 総蛋白 (TP) およびアルブミン (ALB) は1ヵ月齢より成長に伴い増加した後安定し, 白血球数 (WBC) , アルカリフォスファターゼ (ALP) , 無機燐 (Pi) , 総ビリルビン (TBil) , 総コレステロール (TC) , グルコース (GLU) およびトリグリセリド (TG) は, 成長に伴い減少した後安定した。GOT, 血清尿素窒素およびカルシウムは, 成長に伴う変動が認められなかった。成長に伴い変動した項目の中で, 赤血球恒数, GPT, GLUおよびTCは, 3~4ヵ月齢頃より安定したが, 大部分は, 体重がプラトーになる9~11ヵ月齢頃 (RBC, Hb, Ht, TP, ALB) から18ヵ月頃 (WBC, ALP, TG, Pi) に安定した。このことから, ネコでは, 少なくとも9~11ヵ月齢, 場合によっては18ヵ月齢以上の動物を成熟個体として取り扱うべきであることが示唆された。11ヵ月齢以降, 平均赤血球容積, 平均赤血球ヘモグロビン量およびWBCでは雌が雄より, また, ALBでは全期間を通して雄が雌より高値を示す傾向があったが, 他の項目では明確な性差は認められなかった。

The purpose of this study is to improve the facilities of BDSP into a more convenient one. As regards the first improvement, we have introduced a high-speed calculation method with a fluid line algorithm using a recursive formula. The recursive formula was derived analytically from each of the modal approximation models of the fluid rigid lines and fluid viscoelastic lines. As regards the second improvement, we have introduced a method for simulating the dynamic responses at the arbitrary position of the fluid line, in stead of the conventional method that allows calculation only at both ends of the fluid line. It could be verified in this study that simulation could be done much faster compared with the conventional ones, without any decrease in accuracy. Consequently, BDSP may be concluded to be a convenient and accurate tool for carrying out hydraulic system simulations.

This paper introduces a new wearable handring support system for a person who has trouble in motor capability of their upper limb.The support system is used not only for a support system to make their upper limb active in daily life but also for a rehabilitation system to reduce manual loads of physical therapists.The system measures three rotation angles of patient's head: pitch, roll and yaw to control three degrees of freedom of the support system; angle of elbow joint, angle of wrist joint and hand close/open, respectively. Hemiplegia patient who has paralysis on one half of the patient body can use both arms cooperatively by wearing the handling support system on the paralysis side. In our experiments, the system helps pouring task from POP bottle to a glass, while an upper limb on paralysis side of a user grasps the POP bottle and the other upper limb grasps the glass.

近年, 環境への配慮から風力発電などの再生可能エネルギー発電の導入が増加している.従来の風力発電機は,風速25m/s以上になると発電を停止している.また運転時には,風車ブレードと発電機の慣性の違いにより,軸にねじれが生じる.この軸ねじれは,軸の共振周波数において増幅され,軸に過度なねじれ応力を加え,軸系が破損する原因となる. 本論文では,H∞ 制御器を用いて軸の共振周波数におけるの応答を抑制し, 風力発電機をタービントルクにねじれトルクを追従させることで軸のねじれを抑え, 35m/sまでの強風時でも発電を続ける出力平滑化された制御を提案する.

2011年3月11日に発生した大川小学校事故では児童74名、教職員10名が亡くなった。事故の要因は、避難マニュアルに不備があり、避難場所が明記されていなかったことにある。しかし、なぜ裏山ではなくて、津波がやって来る堤防道路に向かって避難を開始したのか、それが最大の謎である。筆者は、大川小学校の教師たちが判断を誤った要因を北上川越流津波のイメージを持っていなかったからではないかと推測した。つまり、当時の教師は筆者も含めて、津波の知識をよく知らなかったと言える。大津波警報10mとは「平均的な値」であり、実際の到達津波は1/2 ~ 2倍の幅があること、津波は海岸地形や陸上地形で増幅して地域を襲うこと。このような新しい知見を持っておれば、自分の地域を襲う津波を具体的にイメージできて、迅速な避難行動がとれたはずである。津波防災能力とは、①津波についての新しい知見➡②情報の収集力➡③災害をイメージする想像力➡④想定外に対処できる迅速な判断力である。この能力を身に付けるための「津波防災教育プログラム」の概要について述べる。

In this study, a simulation program for hydraulic control systems has been developed. By using this program, the operator is capable of simulating the dynamic performance of systems without the need of any special knowledge as regards software or control engineering. The program was developed for use on personal computers that are most commonly used today. The simulation is carried out according to each operation in a very simple manner based on the block diagram representation of the systems. For these procedures, a graphical user inter-face was successfully incorporated into the program. Regarding the main features or functions of the program, it is possible to simulate pipeline elements, various kinds of nonlinear elements and even discrete time control systems.
