本研究の目的は,心身ともに健康な女子大学生を対象に,不安感受性(anxiety sensitivity)が痛み経験(痛みの閾値,痛みの耐性の程度,痛みの主観的評価,痛みへの恐怖感,痛みへの認知的対処方略)に及ぼす影響について実験的に検討することであった.実験参加者31名は,日本語版不安感受性尺度によって,不安感受性低群(n=12)ならびに不安感受性高群(n=19)に分けられ, 3℃の冷水に手を浸す課題(コールドプレッサーテスト)に取り組むことが要求された.コールドプレッサーテスト中に閾値,耐性の程度の測定を行うとともに,コールドプレッサーテスト終了後には,ペインスケール(痛みの主観的評価),多面的痛み尺度(痛みへの恐怖感),日本語版coping strategy questionnaire (痛みへの認知的対処方略)を実施した.その結果,不安感受性高群は不安感受性低群に比べて,痛みの主観的評価が高いことや,自分自身を励ますといった肯定的な自己教示の対処方略を多く用いていることが示された.以上の結果から,不安感受性は痛みの主観的評価や痛みへの認知的対処方略に影響を与える重要な変数であることが示唆された.

ミニ特集:ゲノム編集360度<br>ミニ特集にあたって:科学者でなくとも,世界中でゲノム編集がホットなことは知っているに違いない.何しろ,今までの成功確率の低かった遺伝子操作から格段に進化し,タイプライターで遺伝子配列を打ち生むように簡単になったと言われている.米国では2人のグループが特許争いを繰り広げている.かたや,映画ジュラシックパークに感動したフェン・ジャン,かたや,モデル張りの美人コンビのジェニファー・ダウドナとエマニュエル・シャルパンティエ.また,世界に負けまいとする日本の科学者の奮闘も見逃せない.ゲノム編集を活用した細胞,食物,動物の作製にとどまらず,治療への可能性も見え始めた.一方で社会的な影響は考える必要がある.本特集号では,ゲノム編集を360度楽しみ,考えていただきたい.<br>表紙の説明:『薬種抄』の人参図 人参は『神農本草経』の上品収載薬で,古来,霊薬として貴ばれた.表紙の図は,『薬種抄』の冒頭に掲載された人参の図と解説の一部.掲示品は平安時代の成蓮房兼意が撰し,保元元年(1156)に書写され,京都の醍醐寺遍智院に伝来したもの.人参の部分は中国宋代の『重広補注神農本草幷図』(1092)からの引用とされ,同書は既に失われたため,『薬種抄』の図は現存最古の人参図として貴重である.武田科学振興財団杏雨書屋所蔵.重要文化財.

Development of his economic theory in Capital consumed the better part of Marx's life. Yet, paradoxically, throughout more than a century following Marx's passing, Marxism (the body of thought tracing its lineage to Marx), notwithstanding a fecund heterogeneity, is offered up as essentially a theory of history. Indeed, today, few dispute the view of historical materialism as the center-piece of Marxism, with political economy, portrayed at best as a sub-theory. Analysis in this paper turns upon the question of how what is here dubbed the retreat from the economic in Marxist theory is impelled by the sub-theory role political economy plays in support of historical materialism. The retreat is traced across the work of three prominent Marxist theoreticians-Karl Kautsky, Georg Lukacs and Louis Althusser-each widely accepted as representatives of epochs of Marxist thought. The article then introduces an alternative approach to the relationship between Marxian economics and historical materialism predicated upon a reconstruction of Marxism originating in Japan. It demonstrates how the Japanese Uno approach returns political economy to its rightful place within Marxist theory-effecting a return to Marx.

現在バーコードは,情報機器へのデータ入力の際に欠くことのできないものとなっている.しかしながら,その多くは白色と黒色を用いて作成したバーコードを使用しているため,その商品の景観を損なっている場合がある.本研究では,バーコード読み取り機器の特性を用い,目立たなく,かつ的確に読み取ることが可能であるバーコードの作成を試みる.

Fluctuations in the wing-form ratio of the brown planthopper (BPH), Nilaparvata lugens, were examined by collecting fifth-instar nymphs from rice fields. Two peaks of brachypterous females were observed at 40–50 days after transplanting (DAT) and 75–85 DAT (5 days before heading–10 days after heading). After 75–85 DAT, the percentage of brachypterous females decreased with an increase in BPH density. However, the BPH density was still low after 40–50 DAT when the first decrease in the percentage of brachypterous females occurred. Thus, not only population density of BPH, but also the rice plant stage seems to affect the fluctuations in female wing-form ratio. The SPAD readings of rice leaf, which are associated with leaf nitrogen content, fluctuated with rice plant stage and showed two peaks at 30–50 DAT and 65–80 DAT. The fluctuation pattern of the SPAD readings was similar to that of the percentage of brachypterous females. This suggests that the percentage of brachypterous females fluctuated in accordance with a decrease in nitrogen content of rice plants.
