A simple torque sensor for a tendon-driven manipulator is proposed. The finger joint torque around a drive pulley is proportional to the tension difference on both ends of the pulley. With a coupling mechanism between tendons, this tension difference can be measured directly without detecting individual tendon tensions. The tension differential-type torque (T.D.T.) sensor is based on this idea and is useful for compensating for friction existing in the transmission system of the manipulator. However, so far, the T.D.T. sensor needs at least one tension pulley to support a driving tendon. This paper shows that it is possible to design a T.D.T. sensor without any tension pulley maintaing its basic principle. A torque sensor installation on the movable link makes it possible to eliminate the tension pulley and downsize it.

In a direct-drive arm, motors are directly coupled to their arm linkages without reducers. This eliminates some defects of traditional gearing such as backlash, friction and deflection, and therfore enables the drive system to have improved control accuracy. The D.C. motors used for the direct-drive arm, however, have a significant amount of torque ripples and deadband, which limits the control accuracy, particularly for compliance and force control.In this paper, a method for the torque feedback control of a direct-drive joint is presented. The motor output torque is directly measured by a strain gage sensor built into the motor. It is found that closed loop torque control can compensate for the complicated nonlinearities and improve the overall control accuracy.First, the design of the torque sensor is presented. The effect of the structural vibration mode which results from the insertion of the flexible torque sensor is analysed, and a design method to place the natural frequency of this mode far above the operating frequencies is shown. Torque feedback control using the sensor is then discussed. The sensor design is verified experimentally, and the control performance using the direct torque feedback is evaluated.

鉄の需要が供給を上回る状態が続くと,貧血のない鉄欠乏に陥り,さらに進行すると,鉄欠乏性貧血となる.鉄欠乏の進行により組織鉄欠乏を来し,舌乳頭萎縮や食道の襞形成,匙状爪などを呈するに至る.また異食症など特異な症状も見られる.鉄欠乏や鉄過剰にいたる経過をもっとも鋭敏にとらえる指標は,血清フェリチンである.日本人女性では約半数が何らかの鉄欠乏状態にあり,鉄欠乏性貧血は女性の10%程度の頻度でみられる.鉄欠乏克服の戦略として,鉄摂取への食事指導,鉄補助食品の使用,鉄添加食品の導入があげられる.

The ecological role of sulface-reducing bacteria (SRB) in anaerobic degradation of a long-chain fatty acid (LFA) was investigated using three anaerobic sludge consorita cultivated at different sulfate loading rates. The three kinds of sludge (referred to as Sludge A, B and C) were cultivated in a fill-and-draw mode for 100 days by feeding with plamitate as a major carbon source (feeding concentration : 1.0g COD·l-1), but with different levels of sulfate, i.e., 600mg-SO42-·l-1 for Sludge A, 300 for Sludge B, 0 for Sludge C.Degradation of palmitate into acetate in the presence of sulfate can be performed by either of the following three trophic groups : 1) symbiosis between palmitate-degrading proton-reducing acetogens (P-PRA) and hydrogen-utilizing SRB (H-SRB), 2) symbiosis between P-PRA and hydrogen-utilizing methanogens (H-MPB), 3) palmitate-oxidizing SRB (P-SRB). Three sludge consortia exhibited different behavior of palmitate degradation, depending on their sulfate loadings. As for Sludge A, the first group, P-PRA+H-SRB had the greatest contribution in palmitate degradation, and the extent of the second, P-PRA+H-MPB and the third, P-SRB were about half of the first, respectively. For Sludge B, P-PRA+H-MPB had the superior contribution over P-PRA+H-SRB and P-SRB. The lowest contributor, P-SRB was only one-tenth of the largest contributor, P-PRA+H-MPB. For Sludge C, palmitate degradation was accounted for only by P-PRA+H-MPB, and the contributions by P-PRA+H-MPB and P-SRB were negligible small.

ニューヨーク(派)詩人のJohn Ashbery (1927-)。依然意欲的に作品を出版しつづける巨人的作家。以下では,2002年に出版したChinese Whispers を主に 2009年のPlanisphere も含めて 彼にとっての後期詩集を考えてみる。 朗読アーカイヴなどをmp3で分析しながら…。同じニューヨークの詩人のCharlesBernstain (1950-) との比較にたよりながら…。さらには,ことばあそび的"surrealism"の作品の再読を試みながら…。そして,"voicing"の問題を何より扱いながら…。 そうして,朗読ライブの聴衆の前での(パンチラインを意識した)後期詩作品のAshberyの「声」を探る。

源氏絵とは,『源氏物語』を題材とした絵画の総称である.源氏絵の絵師には土佐派をはじめ狩野派,岩佐派,など多数の流派があり,各流派独自の個性がある.これまでに見つかった作品にはどの流派の絵師が描いたかわからないものがあり,美術史の専門家たち中でも意見が分かれている.そのため新たな知見から流派を判断する手法が望まれる.近年,深層学習の一種である畳み込みニューラルネットワークの画像分類能力の向上は著しく,一部の分野では人間よりも高いという報告もある.深層学習では特徴量がデータから学習されるため,これまで人間が発見していない特徴量に基づく分類をすることが期待できる.本稿では,深層学習による物体検出手法を用いて顔を自動認識し,畳み込みニューラルネットワークにより流派を推定する.5分割交叉検証を行った結果,96.5%の精度で分類することに成功した.
