I research and develop it aiming at the realization of a scooping goldfish robot copied from the method that a human being takes. This paper describes I estimate the position and prediction of goldfish in the water tank based on the information from a camera on a water tank to distinguish a timing to scoop a goldfish.

This paper proposes an architecture of a planar in-parallel actuated manipulator with three degrees of freedom which is composed of the positional mechanism and the orientational chain. Kinematic synthesis is carried out to maximize the practically dextrous working space (PD working space) in which motion transmissibility is excellent and any orientatinon angle of the output link can be obtained. The size of working space and range of output orientation of the synthesized mechanism are compared to those of the mechanisms in the literature, and the results show that the synthesized mechanism has a large PD working space.

The loosening of a bolt-nut connection induced by a tangential load applied to a clamped plate is investigated theoretically and experimentally. The results obtained are as follows : 1. A driving torsional torque is induced on the bearing surface of the bolt head by slip of the bolt head on the fixed plate. 2. The above torsional torque is either in the tightening or loosening direction of the bolt according to the distribution of loads on the bearing surface of the bolt head. 3. If the resisting frictional torque on the screw thread part of the bolt in the mating nut is overcome by the above torsional torque, rotation of the bolt is caused in the nut which remains fixed on the clamped plate. The rotation of the bolt is either in the tightening or loosening direction depending on the direction of the above torsional torque. If the total sum of loosening rotation is greater than that of tightening, then the result is the loosening of the bolt. 4. The above torsional torque and the resisting frictional torque are much smaller than those expected from the coefficient of sliding friction.

向流形および直交流形の強制通風冷却塔の熱的性能について,エシクルピ差を用いた理論にしたがって,電子計算機により広範囲の計算を行った.まず交換係数を簡単に精度よく手計算する方法について検討し,直交流形の修正係数を求めた.つぎに強制通風冷却塔の特性を考慮して,入口湿球温度とレンジの関係を示す性能曲線を求め,その傾向を調べた.この結果から,強制通風冷却塔の簡単な性能試験と評価の方法を導いた.

An experimental study has been carried out to clarify the characteristics of the void fraction and liquid film thickness of air-water two-phase flow in vertical tubes of 25 mm inside diameter with wire coil of varying wire diameter and pitch. Flow pattern in the experiment of average void fraction and local void fractrion distribution in a cross section is bubble flow, and liquid film thickness is in the region of semi-annular and annular flow. It is clarified from these experiments that the average void fraction in tubes with a wire coil is lower than that of the smooth tube and decreases with the wire diameter owing to the centrifugal force of swirl flow which concentrates bubbles at the center of the tube, and the liquid film thickness between the wire coil is uniformed with the decrease of the pitch of wire coil and that liquid film becomes thicker after the passage of wire coil with the increase of the wire diameter.

In this research, we propose the driving method of the magnetic material disc by the rotating magnetic field. When the rotating magnetic field is given to the magnetic material disk, the magnetic material disk is magnetized by a phase different from the rotating magnetic field. Therefore, magnetic attractive force acts between the magnetic material disk and the rotating magnetic field. At this time, because force in the vertical direction and radial direction cancelled respectively, only force in the circumferential direction comes to act. The rotating torque is generated by this force in the circumferential direction. Therefore, the magnetic material disc rotates. The purpose of a present article is to clarify the proposed driving principle by doing the magnetic flux density measurement, torque measurement and the torque analysis. Then, this driving principle was clarified to some degree.

In this research, it proposes the development of High-Tc Superconducting Levitation flywheel. The permanent magnet magnetized in the thickness direction where the sectorial magnetic material plate is adsorbed creates the multipole field outside of the magnet. The levitation body achieved the stable rotation without the control by giving the driving force from the axial direction to the multipole field of the levitation body, and thus it succeeded in riding past the resonance. And, the voltage correction that considered the counter-electromotive force and impedance was executed so that this system might obtain the stable torque. As a result of measurement of electric power generation at the high-speed rotation region, it was confirmed that this system had about 84% conversion efficiencies. The result of the experiment and the theoretical value of the magnetic flux density, the torque, the frequency response, and the conversion efficiency of this system were compared. As a result, because measurements and the analytic value were corresponding well, it was confirmed that this analysis was useful.

Side jets, which are radial ejections, are formed at a near field in the low-density jet, such as a helium gas jet. Mixing of fluids between the jet and the ambient is enhanced at vicinity of the nozzle exit by the side jets. When the side jets are generated in a helium gas jet, the jet has periodically large velocity fluctuation in the potential core. The side jets were produced in uniform density jets by inputting periodic pulsation with a loudspeaker. The side jets in the pulsed air jets were visualized by using planar laser Mie scattering(PLMS), and the condition for generation of side jets was shown by the turbulent intensity, Reynolds number and non-dimensional frequency. Power spectra of velocity fluctuation in the pulsed air jet are similar to those in the helium gas jet if the side jets are generated.

Our research objective is localization and mapping for rescue crawler robot in unknown environment. The problem is well known as SLAM problem. For solving the problem, the robot position and environment shape are measured by odometry and LRF respectively. Odometry's error is corrected by matching these shape data. Map is constructed from these shapes and the modified robot position. However, odometry can not be used for measurement of our crawler robot's position because the crawler has crawlers and wheels as locomotion. In this paper, the authors present our approach for measurement of its position and construction of the map. Concretely, the authors measure its position by matching 2D scan data measured at different points. Moreover, we correct the scan's distortion caused by robot movement.

0. 02% C軟鋼線の, 降伏応力以下の応力を加えたひずみ時効において(1)応力は, 降伏応力の増加を最大10%促進する. (2)みかけの活性化エネルギは, 約1kcal/mol増加する. (3)応力による時効促進への寄与率は, ひずみ硬化が約20%, 新たに導入された転位への微細析出物の析出が約3%で, 促進の主たる要因は, 応力による侵入形固溶原子の拡散ならびに析出の促進と考えられることを示した.

Development of durable and efficient thermal protection systems against the reentry heating environments is one of the most important issues to realize the practical reusable launch vehicles in future. In order to prepare the heat shield material development, research on evaluation methods regarding the erosion rate and aerodynamic heating characteristics are being conducted using the special ground facilities. Some of the recent activities and future research directions are discussed in this report.

We conducted full scale experiment to study the derailment mechanism of high speed railway vehicle by earthquake ground motion. The experiment was arranged to mimic the vehicle/track conditions of Tokaido Shinkansen by using the bolsterless bogie and the track materials both presently in use for Tokaido Shinkansen. Large excitations enough to derail the test vehicle were given, so that derailment motions were fully captured. Through the tests, (1) Total 34 cases of derailment were observed by the sine wave excitations in the frequency ranges of 1.1Hz to 1.5Hz. The test vehicle was derailed as the result of rocking motion. (2) Wheel lifts of around flange height without derailment were observed by the sine wave excitations in the frequency ranges of 0.5Hz to 1.0Hz. (3) By comparing the vehicle motions of two cases of different ballast conditions, we learned that dynamic features of the ballast track brings no significant difference on the vehicle dynamics of those cases. (4) Finding reasonable match between the experimental results and analytical results obtained from the simulation developed by the authors, we further investigated the possibility of derailment by the sine wave excitations in the frequency ranges of 0.5Hz to 1.0Hz and found that vehicle was to be derailed by giving larger excitation amplitudes than those given in the experiment.
