Developmental disorders have a negative impact on the social life, which includes family, school, community, and workplace, of those with such disorders. Since the effects are serious and persistent, early detection and intervention are crucial.Early detection of Developmental disorders and intervention to meet individual needs may promote the social development and strengthen the unique talents of children with those disorders. It may also prevent the secondary emotional and/or behavioral problems those children may develop. Moreover, the stress of parents/caregivers may decrease as a consequence, which may further prevent psychological challenges and difficulties to the family members of those children.

Schumann, Brahms and Dvorak's piano quintets are famous for three great music. I performed the Dvorak piano quintet A major Op.81 in 2006 in Tokyo, and in 2007 in Tokushima. I studied Dvorak's chamber music in his Bohemian traits with Dumka and Furiant.

This Paper starts consideration from a viewpoint how the political liberalism by John Rawls should be interpreted in a relation with Imanuel Kant. I try to show first that such the political liberalism should be interpreted not as to sets neither social stability nor social order as the first purpose, but contains dynamic process in which the people's active political autonomy is searched for. And I try to show that although it refuse civic humanism and sometimes private autonomous values may be put on predominance from public political autonomy, it does not eliminate a political questions or does not aim at abandonment of political philosophy. And this paper try to show that If the political liberalism by Rawls may be interpreted as such, such argument by Rawls can be connected with the argument that the article9of the Constitution of Japan should be interpreted as to abandon all military powers and all wars include war for self−defense.

The word "Koshien" has come to mean the sacred ground which not only signifies a mere ballpark, but also the highest place where high school baseball players gather to play the game. It is said that newspapers, or what is called "the best−selling everyday media," had given a great impact to form the Koshien event till the1960s when TV sets started to spread over Japan as another influential media. It is a well−known fact that high school baseball at the Koshien has been taken up on a large scale by newspapers and TV programs since then. This study aims to clarify how differently high school baseball at Koshien is treated from other sports based on the empirical data such as the newspaper coverage areas, TV broadcasting times, and so on. The areas of sports coverage in Asahi Shimbun, the Tokushima newspaper, and Yomiuri Shimbun were measured focusing on the month of August when the High School Baseball Championship was held at Koshien, and compared to other sports events. The result shows a peculiar tendency in the difference of the treatment between All−Japan High School Baseball Championship games and the inter−high school championship games of other sports which are similar national sports events for high school students. In TV broadcasts, high school baseball at the Koshien has received exceptional treatment as well as in newspapers. These media treatments have been influencing the ardent high school baseball fans till now, and at the same time, the amount of the newspaper and TV coverage has continually increased.

本研究の第一の目的は、LGBTの青少年に対する支援団体を作り、LGBTの当事者や家族の理解のための支援につながる情報提供やカウンセリングを実施することである。第二の目的は、「LGBTセンシティブ・プログラム」を開発しその効果を検証することである。児童生徒と関わる機会の多い学校現場の教職員や臨床心理士に実践し、LGBTに対する意識向上をはかる。本研究の結果、支援団体の活動により県内外の当事者、支援者が集まり、臨床心理学的支援や情報提供を行うことが可能となった。また、「LGBTセンシティブ・プログラム」の実践によって教員や心理職の意識の変容が見られ、学校現場や臨床現場で適切な対応が可能となった。

The present this writer started case studies on the development of elementary school education of rural Japan in the modern period making use of the record of GAKKOUENKAKUSHI. This paper taking up a case of Shimogurose-village is its first report. GAKKOUENKAKUSHI owned by Shimogurose elementary school in Kurose-town Kamo-district Hiroshima-prefecture is a file of about three hundred and fifty sheets of paper and written about laws and regulations regarding education and events in its school from 19^<th> century onwards in chronological form. Its GAKKOUENKAKUSHI consists of the following four parts. The first is history of organization, the second is history of staff, the third is history of government office director and administrator, the fourth is history of schoolhouse. This paper focuses on four problems concerned with the process of establishment of elementary school education in Shimogurose-village as a farm village: (l) the course of elementary school education in the early Meiji period, (2) the local finance and school management, (3) the elementary school attendance and epidemics, (4) the relationship between elementary school and villagers. Attempting to analize these problems, particularly such a case as Shimogurose-village that historical documents on educational administration was scattered and lost, we should regard GAKKOUENKAKUSHI of the same kind as important.

In the second study,6 teachers qualified as clinical psychologists were interviewed based on the results of the first study. Despite of many difficulties, such as limitation of working hours, the position on the brink between as a clinical psychologist and a student's consultant, the lack of awareness of their specialty by school managers, the survey was conducted. We mainly focused the following3points;(1) the way of having relationship with students and their parents,(2) the way of involving with school managers and their colleagues,(3) the way to approach their community.Results revealed that the teachers work hard and use their flexibilities as "specialists in human communication" (Kawai,2001) in their classrooms, especially in special supportive education, school counseling rooms, and local communities. Moreover, they try very hard to facilitate interactions with students, parents, school staffs, and people from other organizations and they work consistently.

The field survey, named as Survey I, was conducted at schools of all three levels as well as specialneeds schools in order to analyze present situations. These studies were carried out to investigate the present situation and issues about the teachers qualified as clinical psychologists who finished the Graduate School of Naruto Univesity of Education.The questionnaire was focused on teachres' works, worries, worthwhile activities among school management and their shifts of minds and benefits after acquiring their qualification as a clinical psychologist. Questionnaires were given to 34 teachers, at schools of all three levels, and special-needs schools and 21 answers were received. (response rate of 62%). The results from the survey were as follows:(1) 76% of the respondents were aged over 40, (2) most of them work as "an educational consultant" (42%) and "a coordinator for special supportive education" (32%), (3) 84% of schools have a guidance or counseling room at their own schools, (4) most of their activities as clinical psychologists are counseling and community psychological supports for schools and their local communities, on the other hand, psychological assessments and research activities were not often conducted as a part of their works, (5) the limitation of their working hours and their positions on the brink between a clinical psychologist and a student's consultant at school are their major concerns, (6) the worthwhile activities in their works were to make their students or their parents change their feelings by their approach, (7) their shifts of minds can be found inthe way of having relationship with students and their parents using clinical psychological approach.

Aging of three academic journals of Pharmacy Journal, Chemistry Today, and Science Education was investigated by measurement of pH on the surface of paper. Pharmacy Journal revealed pH4 to pH5 on the surface of paper until 1979, but after that the pH went up pH7 to pH8. Chemistry Today showed the pH jump in 1987, while Science Education exhibited no clear pH jump on the surface of paper until 1996. Neutralization of journals was supported by the application of X-ray fluorometric spectroscopy and infra red spectroscopy to the analysis of additives on the paper. The age of the pH jump and the increasing content of additives on the journals coincided in the publishing times of the journal.

This paper is aimed to discuss points to keep in mind about the teaching of singing, on the basis of H. Blumer's symbolic interactionism and J. Dewey's theory of communication.Children learn music, supported by the communication through music. According to Blumer, "human beings in interacting with one another have to take account of what each other is doing or is about to do." According to Dewey, human beings who communicate with one another have to mutually anticipate and understand the other's intent and the thing's potentiality, and reconstitute one's own behavior. Therefore, in order to establish the communication through music, children have to examine the piece of music as a teaching material, anticipating the teacher's actions and the other children's actions. The teacher has to give clinical instruction, anticipating the children's music learning process.Based on the above information, the present author clarified the points to keep in mind about the teaching of singing, designed a teaching procedure of music lessons, and put this procedure into practice.It was found that children could nurture their own attitude to understand the piece of music and improve the skill of singing, supported by the communication through music.

This study attempted to consider the ideal form of social care which respects the best interests of children, by utilizing an interview survey to examine the elements required to raise the children involved in social care from the viewpoint of those involved. It was found that children who have been subject to social care programs require the preparation and perpetual guarantee of a family-like environment to replace the family lifeand relationships which were lost. When we considered what the best interests were of children involved in this social care, we were confronted with the fact that no overall correct answer existed. This was because the circumstances and problems were different for each individual child, and could only be resolved by individual fine-tuned handling. Because of this, the true best interests of the children will never be identified unless the adults pay greater attention to the children involved, listen seriously to each individual, and hold the children in true respect.

In this study, we developed a gender dysphoria scale based on the diagnostic criteria of DSM-5 and examined the relationship between childhood gender dysphoria and family influence. Furthermore, Harima (2014) examined the relationship between gender dysphoria and autism spectrum traits, as some individuals with pervasive developmental disorder have confused gender identities and show gender dysphoria. The survey was conducted to 219 subjects, and the questionnaire consisted of (1) gender, (2) age, (3) gender dysphoria scale (as a child and now), (4) family influence scale, and (5) autistic spectrum index test. The subjects were divided into four groups based on their gender dysphoria as children and their current level of gender dysphoria (LL, LH. HL, HH). In four groups, we analyzed the relationships with gender dysphoria and family influence and gender dysphoria and Autism spectrum tendencies. The results showed that 1) perceptions of gender dysphoria in childhood were related to family influences, and 2) there was some relationship between gender dysphoria and autism spectrum tendencies. Regarding the influence of family members, we were only able to identify an overall trend. In the future, we felt the need to use a questionnaire that asks about the relationship with specific family members.

School refusal (non-attendance at school) has recently been prevalent in Japan. The number of children refusing to go to school decreased until the mid 1970 s, but has been reversely increasing from then to the present. Regarding school refusal, various causes are indicated, among which changes in the industrial structure and rising education continuance rates to senior high schools are underscored. Thereby, schools are getting less fascinating to children. Although the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has attempted to deal with this problem, it has resulted in failure. So, the MEXT has come to regard school refusal as a common phenomenon ordinary children often show, and admitted various types of unofficial private schools receiving children with school refusal. Additionally, the MEXT started the examination of the certificate for students achieving the proficiency level of upper secondary school graduates by which children can select various future routes including to enter universities without going to senior high schools. From various causes leading to school refusal, the current paper mainly picked up the causes of children's psychological characteristics leading to school refusal. Then, first, it was depicted how such characteristics develop and result in school refusal. Thereafter, based on the development, various solutions for school refusal were suggested for surrounding people such as parents and teachers. Second, the concrete solutions were explained depending on the stages of school refusal. Finally, as one of the fundamental solutions, the possibilities of prevention education at school were introduced, along with the current world trend of this problem.

This paper examines the resilience understanding by biological, psychological and social models and the application to school education. We examined resilience, with particular emphasis on biological models. The interaction between the gene and the environment, the biological response of stress, the relation with specific brain organs, etc. were reported. As a result, we presented a development model of resilience based on biological, psychological and social models.

Young people nowadays often feel anxious as they cannot ensure the basis of their existence. Thinking of the reasons, it is necessary to focus on qualitative changes in family, community, and personal relationship of Japanese society. The author analyzed the issue through the movie My Neighbor Totoro directed by Hayao Miyazaki, which portrays what life was like in the past. The movie has a detailed description of the interaction with nature and supernatural force, which was characteristic in traditional Japanese society, and the various protective power for children to underpin human existence. However, its theme is not just for tired people to feel comfort. After we confirm the basis of our existence through this movie, we ourselves need to make every effort for mutual commitment in real−world society and relationship, going beyond the fantasy.

Hokozan Ganshoji Temple(寶壺山願勝寺)possesses more than 1,000 documentary records published or transcribed between the Edo Period through Meiji Period. These documentary records are the learning materials as well as the record of their learning, transcribed and read deeply through successive generations by chief priests and disciples at Ganshoji Temple. In this article, I focus on three chief priests, namely Gigo(義剛), Kaimyo(快明)and Kaien(快淵), who left considerable number of books of transcription and of own possession. Using their transcribed books as sources, I will examine their transcription activities chronologically to analyze the place and context of transcription activities. Then based on the analysis and comparison of contents of transcribed documentary records, I argue that accumulation of documentary records on practical learning on the Buddhism has influenced not only subsequent transcribing activities on the practical aspect of the Buddhism but also learning on theoretical aspect of the Buddhism. I shed light on a few aspects of the learning by the three chief priests on the basis of the contents of books of their possession.
