The level of the students enrolled in Intensive Japanese I ranges from the very beginning level to those already knowing up to about one-third of the Basic Japanese level. Moreover, the first part of the textbook used in this course contains more items to be learned than does the latter half. Therefore, until the true beginners catch up to those with prior knowledge, problems arise for both categories of student. This article proposes that we should 1) make an extra pre-lesson covering hiragana and basic daily conversation for the beginner to study before class begins, and 2) provide an exemption test which would excuse the more advanced students from the first few classes at the very basic level.

Verf. hat von 1521 Verbrechern 9 Fälle ausgewählt, die sich Lesonders gut als Schulbeispiele der die pathologische Amoralität abgebende amoralischen Habitualverbrecher eignen, d. h. als Musterbeispiele sog. krimineller Monstra von BOsartigkeit. Durch individuelle Beobachtung dieser Rälle bekam Er folgende Resultat:1) Kriminologisches: Bei alien Fällen ist die antisoziale Tendenz frühzeitig (seit dem 15. Lebensiahre im Mittel) hervorgetreten. Alle w_rden Rechtsbrecher und verharrfen sich in der kriminalpathologischen Eigenschaft. Ganzes Leben hindurch zeigten sie keine Besserung.2) Konstitutionelles.: Körperbau und Charakter stimmen in alien untersuchten Fällen überein. Namlich hypoplastisher Typ. mit pyknischer Färbung zeigt schizoiden Typ. mit zyklothymem Einschlag. Ihre Lebensweise ist unstetig und haltlos, parasittisch und vergnügungssüchtig.3) Psychiatrisches: Immer fanden sich eigentümliche Merkinal2 von “Moral insanity”. Nur ein Fall war schwachsinnig und zeigte Pseudologia phantastica, sonst wurd: n keine Intelligenzabnormitäten konstatiert.4) Genealogisches: Es wurden keine Verbrecher und Axnoralischen. in ihrer Aszenchnten, Deszendenten und unt'r den Geschwistern gefunden. Wenigstens liess sich keine gleichartige, direkte Vererbung nachweisen. Es scheint dem Verfasser wahrscheinlich, dass der Typus selbst, der dem amoralischen Habitualverbrecher charakteristsch ist, nicht erblich übertragbar ist.

促通反復療法は,促通手技による意図した運動の実現とその集中反復により運動性下行路の再建,強化を目指した新たな運動療法で,主に軽度から中程度の片麻痺に対して良好な治療成績が得られている.一方,重度麻痺や痙縮などのために麻痺肢の随意性が低い場合,促通反復療法と他の治療法との併用療法が重要となる.われわれは低振幅の持続的低周波電気刺激と促通反復療法との同時併用,すなわち,わずかに筋収縮を生じる程度の神経筋電気刺激下に促通反復療法を行う方法を考案し,特に中重度の片麻痺に対して応用している.本法は患者の麻痺の程度や回復段階に応じて電気刺激強度を調整することで促通反復療法の適応を広げることが可能と考えられる.

The expert committee on development and utilization of phantoms had activities from April, 2004 to March, 2006 sponsored by the Japan Health Physics Society. The purpose of the committee was to accumulate and share the latest information concerning phantoms and related technical issues, and to discuss how and for what phantoms should be utilized in future. The committee had twelve meetings and one symposium. Many people took part in the activity including the committee members, observers and other participants; we had a certain number of lectures covering versatile topics and chances to discuss essential problems including sophistication and standardization of phantoms. Some parts of the information we obtained in this activity will be presented in the articles in series.

当研究会は、筑波大学日本語教育研究会編「日本語表現文型中級I II」(以下「表文」)の漢字総索引を作成した。「表文」は、中級教科書として広く使われ、版を重ねているが、漢字に関しては各課の語句欄に読み方が示されているにすぎず、現場で指導する者としては、少なからず不便を感じるところである。もとより「表文」は文型・文法指導のための教科書であり、語彙・漢字指導を目的としたものでないことは明らかだが、語彙・表記を離れた文型指導もあり得ない。そこで「表文」の全部の漢字表記の語を調査し、常用漢字表を基準とした漢字総索引を作り、これによって、初出ページ、語形、頻度など各漢字の使用状況が一覧できるようにし、あわせて欄外に常用漢字表にありながら「表文」では不提出の漢字も記した。また、巻末で、この一覧作成により明らかになったいくつかの問題点を考えてみた。

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a class of powerful regulators of gene expression. This study aimed to determine whether circTRRAP (hsa_circ_0081241) was implicated in the cardioprotective effects of salvianolic acid B (Sal B) against myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury and its associated mechanism.Cell viability was analyzed using Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8), and flow cytometry was conducted to evaluate cell cycle progression and cell apoptosis. The leakage of lactic dehydrogenase (LDH), production of malondialdehyde (MDA), and activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) were measured using their corresponding commercial kits to analyze cell death and oxidative stress.I/R treatment suppressed viability and cell cycle progression and induced the apoptosis and oxidative stress of AC16 cardiomyocytes, whereas Sal B protected AC16 cardiomyocytes against I/R injury. I/R upregulated circTRRAP expression, whereas Sal B dose-dependently reduced the circTRRAP level in AC16 cardiomyocytes. The protective effects of Sal B in I/R-induced AC16 cardiomyocytes were overturned by the overexpression of circTRRAP. CircTRRAP negatively regulated miR-214-3p expression by binding to it in AC16 cardiomyocytes. The circTRRAP overexpression-mediated effects were reversed by the addition of miR-214-3p mimics in AC16 cardiomyocytes. MiR-214-3p targeted the 3'-untranslated region (3'UTR) of SOX6, and SOX6 was regulated by the circTRRAP/miR-214-3p axis in AC16 cardiomyocytes. SOX6 knockdown overturned the circTRRAP overexpression-induced effects in AC16 cardiomyocytes.In conclusion, the silence of circTRRAP was implicated in Sal B-mediated cardioprotective effects against I/R injury by regulating the miR-214-3p/SOX6 axis.

The principle of relativity requires that laws be invariant in all inertial reference frames. The laws of mechanics are invariant to Galilean relativity. The acoustic wave equation is a mechanical law. So why does the acoustic wave equation turn out to be noninvariant to Galilean transformation? What does this mean? Why do the principle of relativity, the wave equation, and the current Galilean transformation not agree between them? Indeed, to provide the invariance of the wave equation, the Galilean transformation must be transformed. The transformed Galilean transformation has a wide base of arguments.
