A 39-year-old woman received a seasonal influenza vaccine in November 2015 and subsequently experienced malaise, low-grade fever, and chest discomfort. A chest X-ray performed 2 weeks after vaccination showed multiple nodular shadows in both lungs and ground-glass shadows in both lower lung fields. Her bronchoalveolar lavage fluid contained an unusually high number of lymphocytes, and a drug-induced lymphocyte stimulation test for seasonal influenza vaccine was positive. Transbronchial lung biopsy revealed the presence of granulomatous inflammation. Thereafter her abnormal chest shadow spontaneously improved. Based on these findings, the patient was diagnosed with drug-induced pneumonitis due to an influenza vaccine.

In this study, X-ray stress measurement of aluminum alloy A2017 using the Fourier analysis proposed by Miyazaki et al. was carried out. The validity of measured stresses was verified by a four point bending test. Coarsening grains existed in the specimen and spotty diffraction rings were obtained, nevertheless the Fourier analysis is applicable for such material. The stresses measured by Fourier analysis were in good agreement with both mechanical ones and the value obtained by the cosα method. For the single X-ray incident, the measured stress obtained from the 311 diffraction plane particularly showed such correspondence to applied stress as compared with the 222 diffraction plane. The reliability of stress measurement was improved by using the in-plane averaging, and it was effective for every diffraction plane. The effect of enlargement of the X-ray irradiation area saturates, thus the areas to average should be selected appropriately in order to measure the stresses efficiently.

電力当たりの性能が重要視される中,低消費電力のアクセラレータとして PEZY-SC が注目されている.PEZY-SC のプログラミングには OpenCL をベースとした PZCL が提供されているが,その記述は煩雑で生産性が低い.そこでアクセラレータ向けの指示文ベースプログラミングモデルである OpenACC のコンパイラを PEZY-SC 向けに設計・試作する.Suiren Blue (青睡蓮) を用いた評価では,OpenACC コードは PZC Lコードと比較して N-Body では 98%以上,NPB CG では最大 88%の性能が得られた.また OpenACC は指示文を用いた簡潔な記述により PZCL の半分以下のコード行数で実装できたことから,高い生産性と十分な性能を達成できた.

In industrial devices such as heat exchangers, fuel cells, and chemical reactors, the fluid flow enters the inlet manifold and streams into many branch passages. In order to improve the performance of these devices, it is important to obtain a uniform flow rate distribution in each passage. In the present study, an experimental investigation is performed for multiple-passage duct flows. The multiple-passage duct is a reverse flow type and consists of five branch ducts. The duct flows are investigated from the view-point of flow uniformity and pressure loss. Experiments are performed for Reynolds numbers ranging from 6.0 × 102 to 1.5 ×103, based on the bulk velocity and hydraulic diameter at the inlet duct. The aspect ratio (i.e., the ratio between the height and width of the branch duct) is varied as 0.6, 1.0, and 20. The effect of the outlet manifold volume on the flow distribution is investigated. The wall static pressure is measured, and the pressure loss and flow rate are evaluated. The velocity profiles are measured by a PIV system in order to clarify the effect of the increasing the outlet manifold volume. The results reveal that the flow rate changes only slightly with the aspect ratio. As the Reynolds number increases, the uniformity of the flow rate through each branch duct worsens. A uniform flow distribution is realized by increasing the volume of the outlet manifold. The flow uniformity is related to the reduction of the recirculation region at the inlet manifold.

本研究は,英語学習方略の中でも英文読解方略に着目し,中学校における方略指導の実態を明らかにすることを目的とした.中学英語教師85名と中学3年生303名を対象に調査を行った結果,中学校ではボトムアップ方略の指導が重視されている可能性が示唆された.また,教職歴の長い教師ほどトップダウン方略の指導を行う傾向にあることが示された.さらに,生徒の方略被指導経験と動機づけの関係について検討した結果,方略の種類に関係なく,方略を指導された経験の多い生徒ほど読解意欲や効力感が高く,長文が好きである傾向にあった.

This study investigated the relationship between athletes’ mindfulness and future decrements in performance. Participants were 116 university athletes (male = 63, female = 53, unknown = 3, mean age = 19.25, SD = 0.98). The participants completed a questionnaire comprising a few questions related to socio-demographic variables, the Athletes Mindfulness Questionnaire (AMQ), and the Athletes Performance Decrement Questionnaire (APDQ) at time 1 and time 2 (4–7 months after time 1). The results of a cross-lagged effects model revealed that AMQ score at time 1 was positively associated with AMQ score at time 2 and negatively associated with APDQ score at time 2. However, APDQ score at time 1 was positively associated only with APDQ score, but not AMQ score, at time 2. This study’s results indicated that athletes’ mindfulness is unidirectionally associated with decrements in performance. This implies that increasing mindfulness may be an effective method for preventing impairments in athletic performance arising from psychological factors.
