We present a case of large complex odontoma of the mandible of an 8-year-old female that showed interesting radiographic features and remarkable radioisotope uptake.<BR>The patient visited our hospital with a complaint of delayed eruption of the left mandibular first molar. Radiographic features showed a large radioopaque lesion of the left mandibular body. The tumor was successfully removed by surgical procedure and the mandibular base of the mandible and the mandibular canal were preserved without any functional disorder.<BR>The histopathological specimens suggested that maturing process of odontogenesis was occurring.<BR>We have regarded this case as an immature odontoma or developing odontoma of early stage and discussed the considerations of the clinical diagnosis, radiographic features, histopathological findings and the relationship between the usual odontoma and the other odontogenic tumors such as ameloblastic fibroma or ameloblastic fibro-odontoma and so on.

A new PWM method of the three-level inverter using a digital signal processor, which is useful for large capacity instantaneous current controlled GTO inverters is presented.<br>In case of the three-level inverter, short pulses are always necessary to output medium voltage vectors. The output waveform deteriorates from the ideal PWM waveform by the influence of the minimum pulse width limit of the GTO thyristors.<br>In this PWM method, firstly, the switching sequences of voltage vectors which enable the neutral voltage balance control are selected.<br>And then, from these sequences of voltage vectors, sequences which are not affected by the minimum pulse width limit of GTO are selected.<br>Using these switching sequences, the voltage vector mean value control PWM method based on the space-vector control is proposed.

本稿は「Webサーチエンジンの基本技術と最新動向」と題した2部構成論文の後編である。前編ではWebサーチエンジンの背後にある基本的な情報検索技術を解説した。この後編ではWebサーチエンジン技術にかかわる5つの新しい話題を解説する。Googleで一躍有名になったリンク解析の改良・高度化が第1の話題,規模を追求してきた汎用Webサーチエンジンに対する目的特化やユーザ適応/状況適応という発展方向が第2・第3の話題,情報提供側の意図を反映した情報提示手法が第4の話題,サーチエンジン最適化(SEO)というコンサルテーション手法に着目したサーチエンジンスパムの問題が第5の話題である。

キラルイミドを不斉補助基として用いるジアステレオ選択的反応は、複雑な骨格を有する標的分子の不斉合成において重要な手段として国内外で活用されている。本研究では本申請者がこれまでに開発した二種類のアルドール型反応に関し、(1)ビニロガス向山アルドール反応の改善、(2)不斉3級アルコールを含む1,2-ジオールの立体選択的合成法については、基質一般性の検討、(3)これらの方法論を活用した生物活性天然物の不斉合成への応用を行った。

現在わが国では、廃棄物処分の問題が社会問題化し廃棄物の有効利用が急務となっている。本研究では、産業廃棄物(廃石膏、石炭灰、高炉スラグ)からなる複合リサイクル材料の地盤改良材としての有効性を検討している。その結果、複合リサイクル材料の添加率の増加に伴って土の強度変形特性が大幅に改良され。エトリンガイト生成量や形状がその内部構造や強度発現過程と密接な関係があることを解明している。一方、地盤環境工学観点から重金属類(フッ素、六価クロム、カドミウム、鉛等)の溶出量が環境基準値を満足していることも確認し、本複合リサイクル材料のケ袁節材料としての有効性を学際的な面から実証している。

Many Preconditioning algorithms for Krylov subspace methods are developed and well tested on parallel computing environment like PC clusters, but performance of those methods on GPU differs from those on clusters. Although incomplete LU decomposition is the most popular preconditioner for Krylov subspace methods on CPU, its implementation on GPU was never successful because of the sequential nature of the algorithm. By using C for CUDA environment, we have efficiently implemented ILU(0) on GPU. We have also implemented and evaluated various kinds of preconditioning methods for Krylov subspace solvers on GPU, including Jacobi, Red-Black Gauss-Seidel, Line-by-Line and ILU(0). ILU(0) preconditioner turned out to be most efficient and fastest among these preconditioners when solving Poisson equation.
