本研究は,東日本大震災によって発生した災害廃棄物の広域処理について,受入自治体の特徴をマスコミ報道内容等の調査および統計的手法によって明らかにした。ロジットモデルによる分析の結果,義援金額,ボランティア参加率が災害廃棄物の受け入れに有意な正の影響を与えていることが示された。すなわち,住民による被災地への支援が大きい自治体ほど,災害廃棄物の受け入れに積極的であり,その傾向は東日本の自治体において顕著であることがわかった。また,福島第一原子力発電所からの距離,農業従事者の人口割合が受け入れに有意な負の影響を与えていることがわかった。これらは放射性物質のリスクに対する懸念が,広域処理にとって大きな障害となっていることを示しているものと解釈できる。

The primary concern of this paper is to clarify the approach of the Syoukouji Temple to the authority of the Tenno and his court. This paper is based on a study on the "Kizokuka" of the Hongwanji Temple that was suggested by TSUJI Zennosuke and WAKITA Haruko. I use two research methods. Firstly, I examin the incident in which the Nishi Hongwanji Temple seized the land of the Syoukouji Temple. Secondly, I consider the economic foundation of the Syoukouji Temple from the perspective of spreading the sect's teachings. This article is for people who are interested in Shin Buddhism and early modern Japanese history The main findings of this paper are as follows. 1. The Syoukouji Temple built up a relationship with Tenno and his court by maintaining a religious relationship with Kujoke and Chitokuin. 2. The sect's believers in Satsuma and Ryukyu supported the "Kizokuka" of the Syoukouji Temple. 3. Belief was orientated towards the Tenno and his court in early modern times.

本研究は、周手術期に用いられているインセンティブ・スパイロメーター(incentive spirometer;IS)の効果を検証するために、データベース検索によって抽出された13 文献を用いて、術後呼吸器合併症に対するIS の効果を検討した。その結果、術前および術前・術後におけるIS 単独の訓練効果を示した文献はなかった。また、術後のIS 訓練の介入を報告した文献のうち、腹部手術あるいは低リスク患者では横隔膜呼吸とIS 訓練との比較を、心臓血管手術や胸部手術、高リスク患者では呼吸理学療法を基本したIS 訓練の追加介入を比較し同等の効果であるとの結果であった。以上のことから、IS 訓練は、手術侵襲の程度によって選択することが望ましく、腹部手術程度であれば横隔膜呼吸あるいはIS訓練を、心臓血管手術では呼吸理学療法がよいことが示唆された。

福島第一原子力発電所事故により,福島県内は放射性物質による汚染が心配されている。福島高校スーパーサイエンス部では,高校生の外部被ばくに注目し,昨年6月福島県内外で個人線量調査を実施した。この結果から,福島県内の高校生の個人線量が特異的に高いわけではないことがわかった。

Fish oil is composed of various fatty acids among which omega-3 fatty acids are considered as most beneficial. The effects of fish oil on the activity of a topical anticancer drug, imiquimod, and the immunomodulatory activity of omega-3 fatty acids was investigated in human basal and squamous cell carcinoma cell lines. Imiquimod-fish oil mixture exhibited higher carcinoma cell growth inhibition and immunomodulatory activity than imiquimod alone, especially against squamous cell carcinoma cells. Omega-3 fatty acids exhibited growth inhibition of both basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma cell lines and modulated the immune response. Omega-3 fatty acids of fish oil serve as inducers of interleukin-10, an anti-inflammatory cytokine, and as suppressors of interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha, which not only depress tumor growth but also adequately control the inflammatory side effects of imiquimod. Thus, imiquimod administration with fish oil could be beneficial for inhibition of non-melanoma skin carcinoma cells but further in vivo studies are needed to understand their role in skin cancer.

原著論文【目的】図書館の電子化, 特にインターネットの隆盛により, あらゆる資料は将来的に電子化され, 建物としての図書館はやがて不要になるという議論がある。一方で, 「場所」が象徴する伝統的な図書館の役割, 「場所としての図書館」の本質を探り, 再評価する動きもある。国内においては「場所としての図書館」への再評価が, ラーニング・コモンズの隆盛という形で広がりつつあるが, 両者は同等ではなく, 設置の理念的な側面や位置づけの検討が不十分である。これは, 「場所としての図書館」の概念を明示することにより, 解決ができると考えられるが, 日本の大学図書館において「場所としての図書館」の利用実態はどんなものか, という点に焦点を当てた研究は乏しい。本稿ではこの点について調査した。【方法・結果】日本の大学図書館における「場所としての図書館」の利用実態を把握するため, 2009年6月23日から25日の3日間, 横浜国立大学中央図書館において, 観察調査を実施した。調査対象館を場所と目的によって30のエリアに分割し, 利用者の①滞在場所, ②利用物品, ③利用行動, を調査した。3日間で延べ9,610人の行動を記録し, その結果, ①「学習の場所」としての役割, ② PC利用者の存在, ③多様な利用実態, といった「場所としての図書館」の利用実態が明らかになった。また本稿では, 観察調査という手法によって, 質問紙調査では得られない実証的データに基づいて利用実態を明らかにすることで, 大学図書館の利用者調査の新たな手法の可能性を示した。一方で観察調査では, 利用者の主観的な判断や意識を計ることはできない点が課題となった。

Seismic data obtained in Kirishima Volcano Observatory thruogh June, 1982 to August, 1985 were analyzed to reveal the nature of recent earthquakes in Kirishima volcano. In this period, signifucant earhquakes swarms were observed repeatedly in three regions around Shinmoe cone, Ohgiri hot-spring area and Ohnami-ike crator lake. Seismicities in these Fault plane solutions show that a north-west to south-east extensional stress is dominant in Ohgiri and Shinmoe, while Ohnami-ike regions has earthquakes that represent a strike a slip fault motion along a line extending north-west to south-east. These events in Ohnami-ike are explained as a displacement across the fault to adjust the extentional deformation in Ohgiri and Shinmoe.
