Japanese rendering of Ayadgar i Zareran, §§51-114. Ito kindly showed me his recent interpretations, of which here may be cited two instances (§§84 and 93). He interpreted §84thus: ala+darug i gyan-abzand-it 'ke amwašt/ala wiraz padranand ‹i›'to 'ke amwašt/ala+sen+i murwag barag-it 'ke amwaštAlas! Who did take away your medicine which agitates (your) life (cf. candfdan ‘move’)?Alas! Who did take away your combatting mace (cf. NP. guraz a large iron mace')?Alas! Who did take away the Sen which is your bird-like horse? For further details, see pp. 124-5, n. 8. He interpreted w'm'wlt y bwp'y (§93) as nam-xward +e bawai ‘Mayst thou become of brilliant fame!’ In regard to the verbal base Old Ir. *hvar-, Av. xvar-, Old Ind. svar- ‘shine’, see G. Of 114 paragraphs of the Middle Persian epic literature, Ayadgar i Zarerdn, 1-50 have here been translated into Japanese. In spite of the penetrating treatment by H. S. Nyberg: A Manual of Pahlavi II, Wiesbaden 1974, not a few words remain still in doubt.The existence of an older text prior to the text now extant can be inferred from various points of view. Among others, I should like to stress here syntactic inconsistencies shown in §§1-3 and §19. §§1-3: ‘When King Wishtasp with his own sons and brothers, royal families and attendants, accepted from Ohrmazd this Pure Religion of the Mazdayasnians and afterwards came to the Khiyon lord Arjasp the news that King Wishtasp with his own sons, brothers and royal families and attendants had accepted from Ohrmazd this Pure Religion of the Mazdayasnians, then to them (the Khiyons) came heavy displeasure.’ The consistency in this sentence has been interrupted by the preceding passage ‘This Memoirs which they call Zareran was written at that time’, because 'pad 'an gah ‘at that time’ would be out of place without the following phrase ‘when King Wishtasp with his own sons…’. See note (6). §19: ‘There in the Forest of Hutos and Zoroastrian Murw (Merw) which are neither high mountain nor deep lake, at that flat desert…’—In an older text the passage must have been ‘There in the Forest of Hutos and Z. Murw which are neither high nor deep but flat ('be hamon)…’where the correlative !ne …'be ‘not…but’ is still retained. Later, were inserted kofi, war and 'pad 'an dast i, the correlativity of 'ne…'be having been lost sight of. See note (16). My thanks are due to Prof. Gikyo Ito who has kindly placed his latest decipherments at my disposal, for example, §14: wištasp-šah wiheg 'bud ‘In King Wishtasp agitation took place or King Wishtasp became agitated.’ In view of wordformation, wihez-‘move’: wiheg ‘movement, agitation; moved, agitated’ may be treated in parallel with wirez-(wirextan) ‘flee, escape’: wireg ‘flight, escape’. See note (14).

We propose a speech analysis-synthesis and deep neural network (DNN)-based text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis framework using Gaussian mixture model (GMM)-based approximation of full-band spectral envelopes. GMMs have excellent properties as acoustic features in statistic parametric speech synthesis. Each Gaussian function of a GMM fits the local resonance of the spectrum. The GMM retains the fine spectral envelope and achieve high controllability of the structure. However, since conventional speech analysis methods (i.e., GMM parameter estimation) have been formulated for a narrow-band speech, they degrade the quality of synthetic speech. Moreover, a DNN-based TTS synthesis method using GMM-based approximation has not been formulated in spite of its excellent expressive ability. Therefore, we employ peak-picking-based initialization for full-band speech analysis to provide better initialization for iterative estimation of the GMM parameters. We introduce not only prediction error of GMM parameters but also reconstruction error of the spectral envelopes as objective criteria for training DNN. Furthermore, we propose a method for multi-task learning based on minimizing these errors simultaneously. We also propose a post-filter based on variance scaling of the GMM for our framework to enhance synthetic speech. Experimental results from evaluating our framework indicated that 1) the initialization method of our framework outperformed the conventional one in the quality of analysis-synthesized speech; 2) introducing the reconstruction error in DNN training significantly improved the synthetic speech; 3) our variance-scaling-based post-filter further improved the synthetic speech.

Fifteen new species of angiosperms, Ilex bidoupensis, I. hongiaoensis (Aquifoliaceae), Mastixia hongiaoensis (Cornaceae), Daphniphyllum hongiaoense (Daphniphyllaceae), Platea hongiaoensis (Icacinaceae), Neolitsea bidoupensis, N. hongiaoensis (Lauraceae), Nyssa bidoupensis, N. hongiaoensis (Nyssaceae), Eriobotrya hongiaoensis, Prunus hongiaoensis (Rosaceae), Luvunga hongiaoensis (Rutaceae), Illicium viridiflorum (Schisandraceae), Symplocos hongiaoensis (Symplocaceae) and Alpinia hongiaoensis (Zingiberaceae), from the Hon Giao area in Bidoup-Nui Ba National Park, Lam Dong Province, in the southern highlands of Vietnam, are described and illustrated.

健常成人, 高齢者および唖下障害者の喉頭運動と呼吸運動をストレインゲージ法で同時に記録して, 瞭下と呼吸の相互連関について検討した。唖下反射は3mlの飲水で誘発した。健常成人では喉頭挙上開始から238±32msec(平均士標準誤差)遅延して唖下呼吸の吸息が開始した。喉頭降下開始から165±29msec遅延して唖下呼吸は呼息相に移行した。この相互連関は高齢者においても同様であった。この相互連関が維持されているときには正常な唖下が観察された。したがって, その相互連関がスムーズな瞭下物の移送に必要不可欠であることが示唆された。一方, 唖下障害者では誤唖が誘発された。この時には唖下発生までに潜時が認められたり, 喉頭挙上に先行して唖下呼吸がみられた。これらの結果から, 相互連関の乱れが誤嘆に関与することが示唆され, 本研究に使用した測定法が唖下障害の定量的評価法として有用であると考えられる。

再生可能エネルギー導入量が急激に増加してきた近年、電力会社によっては太陽光発電が全発電量のおよそ4割を占める場合も発生している。天候依存のため将来的に電力系統の信頼性の低下につながっていくことが心配されている。そこで本研究は電力系統の位相差情報を用いて時々刻々と変化する電力系統をリアルタイムで監視し、状態を的確に把握することで電力系統の経済性、信頼性に貢献することを最終的な目的としている。具体的には位相差と電力の広域動揺成分に着目し、系統全体の慣性、同期化力を把握することで太陽光発電の稼動量の定量的評価方法を提案し、リアルタイムでの監視・制御技術に寄与することを目的としている。

サービス研究では,内部サービス品質が従業員満足と組織ロイヤルティに影響し,それが顧客の知覚サービス品質,更には顧客満足を高めるというサービス・プロフィットチェーンの枠組が広く知られている.一方で,専門サービスに限れば逆因果,すなわち顧客満足こそが従業員満足の源泉とする報告もある.そこで本研究では,専門サービスを対象とした顧客満足と従業員満足の因果の方向性を検証する目的で,実証研究を行った.大手薬局チェーンにて,薬局利用患者には顧客満足やサービス品質に関して,薬剤師には職務満足や組織ロイヤルティに関しての質問紙調査を行い,店舗ごとでの回答平均値を分析データとして構造方程式モデリングで分析した.結果として,顧客満足が職務満足に有意に影響し,専門職の組織ロイヤルティへの影響も有意傾向を示した.よって,薬局のような専門サービス提供組織では,顧客満足を高める施策は顧客ロイヤルティのみならず,職務満足や組織ロイヤルティも高めるという二面性を有する可能性が示唆された.
