近年のパソコンをはじめとするデータ処理機器の発達と,多変量解析などを中心とする統計手法の進歩に伴い,著者や成立時期などが不明の文献に対し,文の長さ,品詞の使用率,単語の使用率などを計量分析することによって,そのような問題の解決を試みる新しい文献研究の分野が確立されつつある. これまで,『新約聖書』の中の「パウロの書簡」,『源氏物語』,『ジュニアス・レター』,『連邦主義者』,『紅楼夢』など多くの重要な著作物が分析されており,それらの研究を通じて,文献の計量分析における問題点は次第に明らかになってきた.この論文では,まず文献の計量分析の歴史を簡単に紹介し,次にこれらの研究から明らかになった計量分析の課題を,特に日本語文献の計量分析に重点を置き論ずる.

The purpose of this paper is to review the researches on stimulus equivalence in nonhuman animals, based on the formulation by Sidman. Among the behavioral properties that he proposed as essential elements of stimulus equivalence, “reflexivity” has been confirmed in various species, and the evidence of “transitivity” has also been obtained in pigeons. However, “symmetry” seems much more difficult to be formed, and specifically, “equivalence” was shown only in a sea lion. On the other hand, stimulus equivalence also has been examined using procedures other than traditional conditional discrimination, or by many-to-one (MTO) matching-to-sample and Pavlovian conditioning. Recently, positive evidence was obtained in budgerigars, based on the interpretation that behavior, in addition to stimulus, should be included as a member of an equivalence class. These new approaches in research have suggested that equivalence may not be a behavioral ability that enables us to use language, but a basic cognitive function common to other animals. This proposition, indicating that equivalence is apt for comparative study, implies that the conventional research methods should be reexamined.

Gait recognition is one of recently evolving techniques by which we can recognize individuals by one's gait. There are two major approaches; silhouette-based and model-based. In Japan, a method based on GEI (Gait Energy Image), which is one of the silhouette-based approaches, is used for forensic purposes. Sometimes, it is a problem of silhouettes' variabilities in one person due to different clothing that lessen recognition reliability under the GEI method. Here, we analyzed and evaluated the average error rates under clothing variation conditions using the method called Dynamic-features method, which we previously proposed. The Dynamic-features method was built inspired by previous studies of model-based gait recognition, which uses time-series of feature points and local shape features around the points automatically extracted from silhouette sequences. Before analysis, we roughly categorize whole data in the OU-ISIR gait database -treadmill dataset B-, which contains side-view data, into five clothing categories in order to deal with realistic off-line forensic situation, where we cannot strictly control the clothing conditions. As a result, the average increases of average error rate of GEI-based methods due to different clothing were ranged from approximately 8 to 11%, whereas that of the Dynamic-features method was approximately 3%. It was found that two representative dynamics of a feature point of one same person, where the point is influenced by different clothing conditions, showed different mean values but showed similar trends. Based on this fact, it is suggested that robustness of performances in Dynamic-features method under clothing variation conditions is obtained by effective utilization of dynamic properties of human's gait.

Crimes using sleeping pills with malice are occuring continuously. Although it is essential to identify the brand name of sleeping pills in criminal investigations, the recent diffusion of generic drugs has led to a problem that the brand name of the sleeping pills used by suspects cannot be narrowed down from the identification of the active ingredients only. To solve this problem, we have tried to develop a method for identifying the manufacturer of a sleeping pill by analyzing the pharmaceutical additives in left-over beverages. Etizolam tablets 0.5 mg which are manufactured by 16 pharmaceutical companies were selected as the objects of study. The powdered Etizolam tablets were mixed into water and beverages and then discriminated whether the pharmaceutical additives are contained or not with six analytical methods, including Pyrolysis-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. As a result, it became possible to identify almost all of the pharmaceutical companies via a combination of contained pharmaceutical additives. This analysis method to identify the pharmaceutical companies by analyzing the pharmaceutical additives is the first attempt in our extension research. We think that this method can be applied to many other medicines, and expect that this method can contribute much to identifying or narrowing down suspects.

We assessed the posttreatment clinical course of 113 patients with moyamoya disease. All of them were treated with superficial temporal artery-middle cerebral artery (STA-MCA) anastomosis with or without encephalo-myo-synangiosis. The mean follow-up duration was 14.4 years. Complete disappearance of the ischemic episodes was obtained in 110 patients (97.3%). Independent daily life activities were possible for 100 patients. Fifteen patients were incapable of social lives because of their mental retardation, although they can take care of themselves in their daily life. All of them suffered from preoperative completed stroke. Therepeutic time lag should be minimized to prevent these preoperative strokes.

非ホジキンリンパ腫を対象とし最初に承認された放射免疫療法薬剤のゼヴァリンは、効果が高いだけでなく、高齢者にも投与可能な患者に優しい治療薬である。本稿では、ゼヴァリンの開発と放射免疫療法(RIT)の今後について要約し、さらに我々が開発中である非小細胞肺癌を対象としたRIT製剤を紹介する。今後新規のRIT製剤ががん領域において承認を得るためには、RITに効果を示し得る患者の選択が必須になると思われる。

Recent human neuroimaging studies indicate that by using fMRI we can “see” what people are thinking. In animals, we can more accurately see what the animal has in mind by using invasive methods that cannot be used in human subjects. Here I introduce experimental studies where single neuronal activities were examined in the monkey prefrontal cortex in relation to working memory and reward expectancy. We found that by monitoring the neuronal activity while the animal is waiting for the next event, we can see what the monkey is retaining or expecting in mind. Human neuroimaging studies have well documented “default mode of brain activity”, which is higher activity during the resting state than during cognitively demanding task, and is concerned with internal thought processes, in the medial prefrontal and medial parietal areas. In our PET study, we also found higher activity during rest in these medial cortical areas of the monkey. The result suggests that there are primitive-level internal thought processes in the monkey.

Primates and birds are visually dominant species. Recent comparative studies in visual perception address questions about the differences between humans and nonhuman primates, as well as primates and birds. This paper discusses the relative importance of global and local visual processing in primates and birds. Although most nonhuman animals, unlike humans, show a local advantage when processing hierarchical compounding stimuli, studies using other types of stimuli revealed that primate vision may process global information prior to local information. In contrast, the importance of global processing for birds is restricted for ecologically important stimuli such as conspecific images. Both global and local precedence in vision are the result of animals' equally successful adaptations to their living environments, implying that global-oriented human vision is not the only best system.

日本語の上級学習者 (日本語能力試験 N1 取得レベル) を対象として、日本の文学作品に注釈・画像・例文等を表示できるサイトを作成した.日本語学習者にとって難しい言葉の他、授業で日本の文学作品を扱ったときに、質問が出される箇所に注釈をつけた.具体的には、(1) オノマトペ (擬音語・擬態語) のニュアンス、(2) 位相語 (職業や年代・性別などで独特の表現を持つ言葉) (3) 表現のゆれである.注釈は、CSS を使い、言葉にカーソルを合わせると表示するようにした.また、クリックすると、小窓が現れ、そこに、画像や例文が表示できるようにした.例文は、MySQL を使用した.When literary works are covered in class, what learners come to question is not limited to the meaning of words listed in the dictionary. There are queries about (1)nuances of mimetic words and of onomatopoeia, (2)phase words, and (3)variety of representation on one word (for example, "toko" and "tokoro", both mean "place") as well. This "JL Bunko" is designed for advanced learners of Japanese to display annotation, image and example sentences, on words that are not found in the dictionary, but supposed to be difficult to understand. Using CSS, annotation is to be displayed. Using PHP MySQL, sentences are to be displayed.

診療看護師としての活動の成果 草間(司会) 2025年に向けて,いま,医療制度が大きく変わりつつあります。その中で,昨年6月に「医療介護総合確保推進法」が通りまして,その一環として保助看法も昭和23年に制定されて以来初めて看護師の業務に踏み込んだ改正が行なわれました。「特定行為に係る看護師の研修制度」として法制化されたことで,診療看護師(NP)に関連するいままでの私たちの取り組みがようやく認められつつあることを実感しています。 診療看護師は,医療界にとって大きな課題である2025年問題の解決に向けての重要なキーパーソンになると考えています。現在,診療看護師を養成する大学院は全国で7校あり,修了生は2015年3月現在で200人を超えており,素晴らしい活躍をされています。制度の施行は本年10月からですが,制度化に至るまでの間,厚生労働省が平成23年に養成試行事業,24年に業務試行事業という2つのモデル事業を立ち上げました。モデル事業を通して,診療看護師の実績が出てきているところかと思います。診療看護師をさらに定着させ進化させていくには,これからしっかりエビデンスを創出し,公表していくことが大変重要だと思います。そのためにも,わかりやすく納得が得られるアウトカムを形で残し,それを基盤に学問として成長させていく必要があります。本日はそのあたりを中心に議論したいと思います。
