This paper gives climatological information on hail occurrence in Kanto-Koshin District. Hailstorms occur mostly in the warm season in this area, therefore, climatology of warm season hailstorms is studied in detail.Data of the recent eitght years are used to obtain a frequency distribution, for it is possible to determine hail patterns for most of hailstorms occurred during this period. As shown in Fig. 4, there are three distinct maxima and two secondary maxima in the frequency distribution. It is noteworthy that all of these maxima are situated about 70km east through southeast of major mountain areas.Locations of hailswaths observed during the eight year-period are examined. The result (Fig. 5a-5d) indicates that the local farmer's tradition “hailstorms always take the similar routes” is not entirely untrue. A number of interseting features may be pointed out from the result, some of them are as follows:1) Most hailstorms in this region move east through southeastward. However, in the western region most hailstorms are eastward moving, whereas eastern region there are more southeastward moving storms.2) Hailstorms moving east-southeastward are associated with thunderstorms developed near the NW-Gunma Mtns or the Nikko Mtns, whereas those moving northeastward are associated with thunderstorms developed near the Chichibu Mtns.3) Hailstorms move from mountain areas toward lower lands, they rarely cross big mountain regions, and sometimes change courses to follow valleys.Finally, long term variations of hail occurrence are studied. Although long term increase of hail days seems to exist (Fig. 6), at least partly, it is attributed to the tendency that fewer records remain for earlier days. However, the records for recent 20 years indicate increase in hailstorm activities druing the last several years. Computations of correlation coefficients between different areas and stations are made. The result suggested that for long term view point, hail occurrence is quite random.

We describe a new truffle species, Tuber torulosum, based on molecular and morphological analyses. This species forms a single globose ascospore per ascus, pale yellow in color, as do Japanese T. flavidosporum and Chinese T. turmericum and T. xanthomonosporum in the Japonicum clade of the Tuber phylogeny. However, it can be distinguished from them microscopically by its whitish tomentose mycelium that partially covers the ascoma surface and the mesh size of its spore ornamentation. Cystidia are moniliform and yellowish to reddish. Molecular phylogenetic analysis using the internal transcribed spacer and partial large subunit regions of ribosomal DNA also supports T. torulosum as a distinct species. On the basis of our results, we provide a key to species in the Japonicum clade.

【目的】姿勢制御エクササイズの反復が足関節周囲筋の同時活動に及ぼす影響を明らかにすることを目的とした。【方法】対象は健常若年者22名とし,介入群(11名)と対照群(11名)に無作為に分類した。不安定板上で10秒間姿勢を保持する課題を行い,その際の筋活動を前脛骨筋,ヒラメ筋より導出した。介入群には不安定板上での反復エクササイズを行い,その後不安定板上での評価を再度実施した。得られた筋電図波形より,同時活動の指標であるco-contraction index(CI)を求めた。【結果】介入群のCIは,エクササイズ後に有意に減少し,介入前50.7 ± 23.9%,介入後38.5 ± 22.0%であった。一方,対照群のCIには変化が認められず,介入前58.7 ± 23.9%,介入後60.9 ± 23.1%であった(p < 0.05)。【結論】不安定場面での同時活動は,姿勢制御エクササイズを行うことで減少する。このことは,姿勢制御エクササイズにより筋の過剰な同時活動が減少することを示唆している。

オスマン帝国軍艦エルトゥールル号は、スルタン。アブデュル・ハミト2世の命により1890年日本に来航したが、帰路熊野灘で暴風雨のため遭難し多数の犠牲者を出した。この悲劇的な事件は、これまで日土交渉史の文脈の中で繰り返し語られてきた。本稿は、この事件の百周年を契機に、従来とは別の視点から捉え直そうと試みたものである。第1章では、トルコ海軍文書館の史料に基づき、エルトゥールル号派遣計画の立案から遭難に至るまでの経緯を整理し、事実関係をできるだけ明らかにするとともに、いくつかの問題点を指摘した。第2章では、背景となった19世紀末のオスマン帝国をめぐる国際関係、特にアブデュル・ハミト2世の外交政策を分析し、その結果をふまえてエルトゥールル号派遣の持つ歴史的意味を考察した。なお、詳しくは拙稿「アブデュル・ハミト2世と19世紀末のオスマン帝国-エルトゥールル号事件を中心に-」(『史学雑誌』第98編第9号40-82頁)をご参照いただきたい。

Kent型WPW症候群3例について,副伝導路不応期の測定を試みた.3例共従来のRapid pacingによってはwide QRS のnormalizationはまったくみられず,ERPAPの測定は不可能でExtrastimulus法で以下のごとき種々の条件でのERPAPの測定を行った.Basic cyclelengthによる変化,およびOuabain ,Procainamide投与前後におけるERPAPの変化を検討した.ERPAPはBCLの短縮に伴い,短縮した.3例共,Ouabain投与後,ERPAPはBCLに関係なく減少を示した.その後,第1例,第3例にProcainamideの静注を行った所,ERPAPが延長した.3例共,心房細動によると思われる頻拍発作の既往を持ち,これに対するDigitalis使用はERPAPを短縮し,頻拍発作をさらに増悪する可能性があるので,注意を要する.

限られたネットワーク帯域の中で低遅延かつ高品質で符号化できる方式「CLEAR (Conditionally Lossless Encoding under Allowed Rates)」を考案し,装置試作を行った.CLEARはロスレスオーディオ符号化を基にしており,入力音源に依存してフレームごとに原音そのままで送れる場合と歪を生じる場合を切り替える方式である.本稿では,オーディオコーデック装置試作における試作装置の概要,および試作装置における実際のラジオ放送の音声と実回線を用いた伝送実験の結果について報告する.

往古の代表的歌人36人を選んで、画像とその代表和歌を記したいわゆる歌仙絵は、大和絵の題材として鎌倉期から盛行したが、江戸期の嵯峨本にも、その系譜をひいた本書のような冊子形体の歌仙絵がある。嵯峨本といえば,本阿弥光悦自身、もしくは光悦流の書風の活字による活字版がよく知られるが、本書は整版本である。当館本は、単匡郭で郭内が29.1×22.8?の大型本。他機関所蔵の数本と比較するに、大きさが異なるだけでなく、歌仙画像の排列順序もそれぞれ異なる上、細部の描写にも僅かながら相違がみられる。いずれが先行本かの判別は容易ではないが、当館本は、幾種類か刊行された覆刻本、縮小模刻本等のうちの一本か。亀甲紋表紙の中央に、「光悦画」と墨書された紙片が貼付されている。

The centuriate assembly, which elected higher magistrates such as consuls or praetors during the Roman republic, had at its disposal - at least in the case of consular elections - a specific voting system called Centuria Praerogativa. This was the first century to cast its vote and the result was proclaimed separately from the others. Many scholars have assumed that the voting of this one century often had a decisive influence over the centuries that followed, so that the candidates selected by this one century won the competition. Their studies, therefore, have focused on explaining the significance of its influence, especially in the light of recent discussions about the political importance or influence of the Roman people. However, by analyzing some sources which are considered to indicate the influence of Centuria Praerogativa in their proper context, I will argue that the great influence exerted by this century is found under certain conditions pertaining to the elections, which have not adequately studied yet. Accordingly this paper aims to analyze the influence of Centuria Praerogativa by asking when and how this century was followed by the other centuries. I first analyze one actual election, the consular election of 53 BC. In this election, there were four candidates with equal chances of winning, but two of these would be in a more favorable position than the rest once they have promised Centuria Praerogativa a huge amount of money. From this it can be surmised that the influence of Centuria Praerogativa emerges in the case of close elections. And this is actually confirmed by some ancient sources explaining the function of this century. According to them, Centuria Praerogativa was supposed to work as a unifying factor for the other centuries. Therefore, for Centuria Praerogativa to fulfill this function, there needed to exist a situation that the voting of the rest could be split between candidates with a possibility of a close election. However, the consular election for the year 63 BC seems not to have been such a case. Of the two candidates with a chance of winning - and despite the fact that one of them must have won the votes of Centuria Praerogativa - the victor won the election by a very close margin. However, based on the voting system that allowed the electorate to cast at any time as many votes as was the quorum for the magistrate concerned, it seems possible to argue from this case that Centuria Praerogativa exerted its influence not on the higher strata of the centuries but rather on the lower ones. And this also corresponds to the above view, because the lower centuries could take part in balloting when the election was closely contested. To conclude, it is during close election that the Centuria Praerogativa exerted its decisive influence over the following centuries, possibly over the lower strata of the centuries. And this argument should caution us not to overestimate the political importance or influence of the Roman people.

Aggregate is important as a basic material that supports Japan's industrial economy, along with steel, cement, wood, and non-ferrous metals as construction materials for civil engineering and construction. After the Great East Japan Earthquake, the importance of aggregate as a basic material was reaffirmed, and the demand for aggregate is currently in a slight increase or leveling off, and the annual production has been around 380 million tons. In this review, overviewing the transition of aggregate production in Japan from the viewpoint of aggregate resources, the current issues and future prospects are explained. It mentions the shift to mining method in harmony with the environment to enable “sustainable development” on the premise of coexistence with the region, which is an important issue in the mining and production of aggregate. Then, it will be described that trends such as the construction of smart mining system that utilize ICT, IoT, AI, etc. with the aim of responding to labor shortages due to the declining birthrate, aging population, and the advent of a declining population.
