北海道の白亜系産アンモナイトには保存のよいものが少なくないので, 殻の色彩の跡が残っているものはないかとかねてから留意していたが, この程6個体の例が見出された。それは天塩山地南西部の羽幌から小平にかけてのサントニアンの細砂泥岩中のもので, いずれもTexanitinaeに属する。Protexanits (Protexanites) bontanti shimizui MATSUMOTO 4個, Protexanites (Anatexanites) fukazawai (YABE et SHIMIZU) 1個, Paratexanites (Parabevahites) serratomarginatus (REDTENBACHER) 1個の実例には, どれも巻きの方向に平行する色帯があるが, 色帯の数, 位置, 幅, 間隔の相対的の幅などが種類により異なること, 1種の中では変異は僅かあるが, ほぼ一定していること, 第1・2種の色帯が類似するのに対し, 第3の種のそれはかなり異なることが注意される。色素は最外層部に集中しているようである。なお事実の記載に加えて, アンモナイトの殻の色模様一般に関して若干の論議を試みる。

Many transparent calcite crystals exhibit striking fluorescence together with own birefringence. On the basis of these two characteristics (fluorescence and birefringence), suitable calcite crystals can be utilized to visualize the splitting of both monochromatic and polarized light emitted from a laser pointer, as the light passes through a crystal. This new device should serve as a learning tool in introductory microscopy courses or whenever learning the principles of polarizing microscopy.

This report is the user participation technique in the refurbishing work of nursery school outside wall in Nisshin city, Aichi Prefecture. We interviewed nursery school children by “coloring”. Parents and nursery school teachers deepened their understanding of refurbishing work by the coloring of the nursery school children. Develop user participation technique for nursery school children and summarize results and issues.

2 0 0 0 OA ヒトiPS細胞から誘導した神経細胞を用いた認知症に対する移植療法開発のための研究

認知症は神経変性に伴う記憶や判断の欠落に加え個の尊厳も欠落させる。治療をサポートする側にも多大な負担となり、既に大きな社会問題となっている。現在対症療法しかないため根治的な治療法の開発が望まれているため、私は神経細胞移植による再生医療が認知症の根治的治療法となると考え研究を進めてきた。最初にヒトiPS(hiPS)細胞から神経細胞を分化誘導し、この細胞を認知症モデルマウスに移植する系を確立した。移植の結果、認知機能の改善が見られた。さらにマウス脳サンプルの解析の結果、移植神経細胞が欠落した神経系の再構築を促進し、認知機能改善に寄与している可能性が示唆された。

Using case studies of otaya and oyado, two types of early-modern boarding facilities, in the districts of Takaoka and Imaisurugi, this paper examines the nature of lodgings in which daimyo stayed and rested in the Kanazawa fiefdom during the Edo Period. In the early part of the Edo Period in both Takaoka and Imaisurugi, otaya opened as lodgings for Kanazawa clan lords and oyado opened as lodgings for Daishoji clan lords. By the 1720s, otaya had deteriorated to such an extent that the Kanazawa had them done away with and came to use the oyado of the Daishoji. The Takaoka oyado was composed of two parts, spaces for both daimyo and for the buildings residents. In contrast, the otaya of both cities only contained space to accommodate daimyo. In this way, the otaya were similar to the lodging facilities called Ocha-ya and used by daimyo.
