This practice report raises some questions of dialogical workshop design about science and technology policy topics. Focusing participant’s talk, we analyze relationship between presenting participant’s identity and facilitator’s practice of consolidation of opinions. As a result, we find following points. (1) Presenting identity when particular participant express his opinions make/form relationship with other participant’s identity.( 2) Participant’s identity changes at each time, and relies on course of interactional context. These results provide the resource when we rethink relationship between conservation of opinions diversity and methods of gathering various opinions, and design workshop that oriented deliberative communication in public.

This study examines street-walking training sessions by orientation and mobility spe-cialists for people who are visually impaired. We determine the professional methods used by orientation and mobility specialists to support the spatial perception of people who are visually impaired. Based on the above, when we study the street-walking of people who are visually impaired, we argue the important viewpoint that in this case,walking should be considered “a social action.” We videotape street-walking training sessions and describe the ethno-methods of orientation and mobility specialists. Results indicate that when orientation and mobility specialists describe the surrounding envi-ronment, they highlight spatial arrangements with regard to the boundaries of objects in the street.Through touching and hearing, these objects ’intelligibility is achieved by linking the orientation and mobility specialist’s description of the environment and the spatial perception of the person who is visually impaired. These results suggest walking in the street is a social action, which is related to various configurations of common sense. This research is important to advancing studies on the “order of perception.”

オンラインサービスでは、ユーザーのコミュニケーション活動とコンテンツが公開される。 このオンライン情報は、ユーザー生成コンテンツの作成サイクルを加速するのに貢献する。 さらにこれらのサービスは、研究者がオンラインテキストを、社会活動の調査研究とも呼ばれる、人間活動を容易に分析するための公的な資源として利用することを可能にする。 しかし特に創造に関わる分野では、コンテンツが公開されている場合においても、プライバシーに関する論争の的になる問題が存在することを認識する必要がある。 本研究では、オンラインファンフィクション小説における性的表現の抽出とフィルタリングを試みた研究が起こした炎上事件のケースを通し、オンライン研究のための新しいガイドラインを作成しようと試みる。 本研究では法と倫理を含む工学と人文学の両方の分野の研究者が、それぞれの専門分野に応じて倫理的、法的、社会的問題を抽出した。

Currently, ethnomethodologically oriented ethnography that offer theoretical insights into how everyday practice work has been the important survey method in CHI⁄CSCW community. Ethnomethodological understandings of work and investigations of work settings has been used as a useful resource for developing new technology for the system designer of CHI⁄CSCW. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of traditional relationship between system designer and ethnomethodologist in CHI⁄CSCW, and is to propose a new relationship. Graham Button and Paul Dourish presented three complementary ways of integrating ethnomethodology and system design: (a) learning from the ethnomethodologist, (b) learning from the ethnomethodological accounts, (c) learning from ethnomethodology. They pointed out many problems that is relationship between designer and ethnomethodologist in their discussion. This paper's final aim is to order and to consider their problems. Then, I review the traditional cooperative work model between designer and ethnomethodologist, and discuss the development one.

人工知能技術の「責任ある研究とイノベーション(Responsible Research and Innovation: RRI)」のためには多様なステークホルダー間による対話・協働が不可欠である。本研究では,情報学系研究者のほか情報学の倫理的・法的・社会的問題を考える人文・社会科学研究者,政策系の専門家やSFなど創作/編集活動関係者,メディア,一般市民など多様なステークホルダーにアンケート調査を行った。10年後の運転,育児,介護,人生選択,健康管理,創作活動,防災,軍事の8分野では,全体として運転・防災・軍事分野など「知的な機械・システム」の導入に社会的合意が必要とされる分野の機械化には積極的な意見が多い。一方,ライフイベントにおける意思決定や健康管理など個人選択に委ねられる分野は「人間が主体で機械を活用する」傾向にあった。回答者の専門や価値観,経験によって意見は多様であり,個別の技術導入場面において機械と人間の関係をいかに創造的に組み替えていくかの議論が重要である。

This article study how interviewees accomplish “showing their state of knowledge” and “participating” in group interview settings. Group interview’s topic was“ science and technology”, especially “regenerative medicine”. Interviewees were non-expert person of regenerative medicine, and were not acquainted with each other. In this situation, interviewee’s interactional problem is how describe own state of knowledge. Interviewee’s descriptions are conducted by co-participants to see what he/she is doing by talking in that way. In this article, we describe interviewee’s action over their state of knowledge of regenerative medicine, and based on the results of the description, elucidate their “method” of participation in interaction. In light of the above, we discuss the contribution of this article’s description for science communication colleagues.

This paper considers how people gain particular participant's orientation in multiparty settings, and explicates its structural features. For that purpose, we did videotape and examine naturally occurring interactions between elderly visitors and care workers within nursing care home for elderly. We analyze how interaction is initiated between elderly visitors and care workers, and how interaction is coordinated between them. In relation to this, Schegloff (2002=2003) and Heath (1984) discussed actions as a pre-initiating activity. Heath (1984) made a definition of it: ‘...whereas a display of availability serves as a pre-initiating activity providing an environment for the occurrence of a range of actions...’(Heath, 1984: 250). In particular, we focus on cases in which a care worker is not displaying availability to an elderly visitor who want to talk to this care worker. In such a situation, an elderly visitor does extra work in order to gain the care worker's availability. Then, When do an elderly visitor gain the care worker's availability? As a result, a care worker's utterance and behavior that suggests possibility of disengagement from participant framework by then are very useful resource for an elderly visitor who want to gain the care worker's availability.

本稿では、高齢者介護施設(デイサービス)でのケアワーカーと高齢者間の会話を分析する。フェイスワーク論に基づいた会話分析を分析法として用い、そこでの会話構造上の制度的特徴を明らかにする。特にケアワーカーの「申し出」に着目した。会話分析の文脈で従来語られてきた「優先構造」的シークエンスや、「申し出」そのものの発話的特徴を仔細に分析していった結果、ケアワーカーが「申し出」として理解される発話を使うことそれ自体が制度的特徴であることが示された。また、その特有の会話構造ゆえに発生するジレンマ的状況も記述された。こうした問題に対処していくため、「何が問題なのか」ということを捉えると同時に、それが「どのような(相互行為的)手続きを経て」問題となったのか、ということを見ていく必要がある。

科学者と国民との対話を評価する指標の構築を目的とし、ルーブリックの作成を試みた。また、対話力トレーニングプログラムにおける「事前学習」で用いることのできるリフレクションツールを開発した。最終的に、完成させたルーブリックとリフレクションツールを用いた実践を行った。日本分子生物学会年会で対話力トレーニングプログラムのデモを行うなど精力的に普及展開に努めた。
