This study examined the relationship between images of religious believers and tolerant attitudes toward them. A questionnaire was administered to 220 respondents via a web survey. Exploratory factor analysis revealed that images of religious believers consisted of three factors: “mentally vulnerable,” “pious,” and “virtuous.” Furthermore, hierarchical multiple regression analysis indicated that, regardless of whether the respondents were themselves religious or not, virtuous images were associated with tolerant attitude toward them. In contrast, the relationship between mentally vulnerable and pious images and a tolerant attitude was different, depending on respondents’ religiousness.

The size of E-commerce market in Japan continues to grow, particularly, for Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). The aim of this study is to understand online channel use behavior, assuming that the growth of a consumers' online channel use continues. The authors proposed a Latent Growth Model to estimate the online purchase incidences (purchase or non-purchase) in FMCG. As a result, the authors identified consumer characteristics that the consumers who are likely to purchase online have a lot of time, make bulk purchases and the consumers whose online purchasing increase are time-constrained for shopping, make purchases in holidays, have high price sensitivity. It is also suggested that understanding purchase characteristics (not demographics) is important in a longitudinal perspective. Furthermore, online purchasing in FMCG has strongly influenced the experiences of the usage of EC website on PCs compared with mobile. However, the authors also suggested that the influence of mobile is increasing by consumers gaining experience over time.

本論文は、子どもの時期に受けた前頭葉損傷の後遺症に関する2つの仮説の妥当性を検討した。第1の仮説は、発達の早い時期に前頭葉に損傷を受けた子どもの場合は、障害がすぐには現れず、遅れて現れるとする「障害の遅延生起」仮説である。また、第2の仮説は、子どもの時期に前頭葉に損傷を受けた症例は成人のそれよりも行動の障害がより重いとする仮説である。この仮説を検討するため、従来報告された14症例について損傷時期ごとに分類したうえで、損傷直後とその後の行動特徴の推移を調べた。その結果、第1の仮説は支持されたが、より重要なこととしては発達の時期ごとに特徴的な問題が現れることが明らかになった。また、第2の仮説も支持されたが、子どもの時期に受けた前頭葉損傷のなかでも両側性前頭葉損傷は片側前頭葉損傷よりも重大な行動の障害を示すことが明らかになった。

This study aims to explore how the relationship between punitiveness and attributional style differs between Japan and Korea. Data from 330 Japanese and 339 Koreans were analyzed. Multi-group structural equation modeling showed that in both Japan and Korea, punitiveness consisted of three factors (support for harsher punishment, greater criminalization, and use of the death penalty) while the attributional style consisted of two factors (dispositional attribution and situational attribution). In both countries, dispositional attribution was related to punitiveness. Regarding differences, the scores for punitiveness on all three subscale scores and for dispositional attribution were higher in Korea whereas the negative relationship between punitiveness subscale scores and situational attribution was stronger in Japan. This suggests that Japanese are less likely to support punitive measures for criminals and to attribute the causes of crime to the criminals themselves than Koreans. In addition, when deciding on the severity of punishment, Japanese are more likely to take situational causes into consideration.

本研究では、統合脅威理論(Integrated Threat Theory: ITT)に基づき、近接要因として現実的脅威、象徴的脅威、集団間不安を、遠隔要因として同化主義と接触経験を取り上げ、日韓におけるムスリムに対する受容的態度を予測する仮説モデルを構成し、その妥当性を検討した。日本(n = 330)と韓国(n = 339)のデータを用いて、現実的脅威と象徴的脅威を測定する項目を対象に探索的因子分析を行った結果、ITTの想定とは異なり、「全般的脅威認知」、「権利付与」、「類似性認知」の3因子が抽出された。また、共分散構造分析による多母集団分析を行ったところ、これらの3因子は同化主義と関連すると同時に、受容的態度とも関連することが示された。さらに、両国間で測定不変性が確認された。現実的脅威認知と象徴的脅威認知が区別されるというITTの想定は支持されなかった一方で、脅威認知の3因子はムスリムに対する受容的態度を規定するにあたって重要な役割を果たすことが示された。

This study aimed to investigate differences in the common factor of community consciousness between Japan and Korea. The scale included four subscales: “solidarity,” “self-determination,” “attachment,” and “dependency on others.” Web surveys were conducted in 669 adults (330 Japanese, 339 Koreans). Results of the survey showed that configural invariance was confirmed only for “self-determination” and its latent mean was higher in Korean participants. In sum, the results suggest that Japan and Korea have similarities and differences regarding community consciousness, which may be attributed to various factors such as social mobility and attitudes toward civil rights.

During the past 20 years, outbreaks of enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC) have been increasing worldwide and have been recognized as a potential health concern. Vero toxins produced by EHEC seem to be the most common cause of hemolytic uremic syndrome. Rapid diagnosis of EHEC infection is important to prevent the expansion of infection. Diagnosis is carried out by both isolation of EHEC and detection of Vero toxins in fecal extracts or fecal cultures. This review describes briefly about the current knowledge of the EHEC and Vero toxins, and about the determination methods for Vero toxins. The attempt to identify Vero toxins by electrospray ionization-liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry is also discussed.

<p><b>目的</b>:敷地内全面禁煙は,非喫煙者を受動喫煙による健康被害から守り,喫煙者の禁煙を促すのに有効な方法と考えられる.名古屋市立大学では2006年6月よりキャンパス敷地内全面禁煙となり,6年が経過した.そこで,キャンパス敷地内全面禁煙化後の医学生の喫煙率や,喫煙に関する意識の変化を調べた.</p><p><b>方法</b>:喫煙に関する意識調査として2007年12月に全学職員・学生を対象に実施したものと,2012年4月に医学部学生を対象として実施したものについて,医学部1~5年生の集計結果を比較検討した.</p><p><b>結果</b>:回収率は2007年調査では57.0%,2012年調査では92.6%であった.男子喫煙率は全学年で9.94%から5.39%,女子喫煙率は2.37%から1.65%といずれも減少しており,2012年調査では1年生の喫煙者は男女ともに0名だった.キャンパス敷地内全面禁煙については「知っていた」と回答した割合は84.9%から66.2%と有意に減少し,喫煙環境に無関心な非喫煙者が増えている状況がうかがえた.また喫煙者の平均年齢は,2007年調査時は22.3±4.2歳であったが,2012年調査では25.9±4.2歳と有意に高かった.</p><p><b>結論</b>:キャンパス敷地内全面禁煙化から6年経ち,喫煙率は低下した一方,敷地内全面禁煙の認知度が低下していたことから,今後の防煙教育や禁煙対策に向けた新たな課題が明らかになった.</p>

症例は63歳,男性.約20年前に副甲状腺機能低下症と診断されたが以後十分な加療は受けていなかった.約3年前より歩行時のふらつき,すくみ足,手足のしびれ感などの神経症状が出現したため当科へ入院となった.血液検査にて低カルシウム血症と高リン血症を認め,頭部CT検査にて大脳基底核,小脳歯状核に石灰化を認めた.著明な頭蓋内石灰化にもかかわらず活性型ビタミンD3の投与により血中カルシウム濃度が正常化するに従い,多彩な神経症状は改善した.

In this paper the writer likes to describe the features of the deposits of the Shirane mine. According to some investigators, the lower part of the Mt. Motoshirane consists of the Komenashi lava-flows, the upper part the Motoshirane lava-flows and accompaning tuff-breccies. The No.3 deposit described here consists of impregnated free sulphur ore embedded in the tuff-breccia and two pyroxene desite of the Motoshirane volcamo. The ore-forming fluid may be the hydrothermal solution which was ascended through the fissures due to post volcmic displacement.The agglomelatic structure of ring ores in the deposits is very common.Topography and geological structure of the Mt. Motoshirane have great bearing on defining of the deposits as well as on prospecting and mining.

本研究の目的は重大事件ニュースがPOSデータに表れる消費者の行動に与える影響を測定することである。消費者の行動の記録を重大事件に関連した商品の売り上げと捉え、それと報道との関係についてPOSデータを使用してARIMAモデルによる干渉分析を行い、統計的に有意なBSE問題のニュースの影響を確認することができた。さらに、地域差をモデル化するために、階層ベイズ手法によるBayesian Sampling-based ARMA モデルを構築し、モデル間でのPOSデータ分析の比較を行った。
