症例は58歳の男性.2000年3月,粘血便,肛門痛を主訴に近医を受診した.大腸内視鏡検査で,直腸に多発性,不整形の潰瘍を認めた.生検では形質細胞の多い非特異性直腸炎の診断であった.4月に鼠径部リンパ節腫大あり,生検で肉芽腫性リンパ節炎と診断された.9月,粘血便,肛門痛,全身倦怠感増強にて来院入院した.肛門周囲,陰嚢に肉芽腫様皮膚病変を認めた.大腸内視鏡検査で直腸潰瘍直腸炎を認め,経肛門的超音波検査,CT,MRIで直腸壁の全周性の壁肥厚を認めた.梅毒反応(RPR定量)は128倍以上,梅毒反応(TPHA定量)は40,960倍,FTA-ABSIgMは5倍希釈(1+)であり,梅毒性直腸潰瘍,直腸炎と診断し治療を開始した.治療後3カ月で病変,血清抗体の陰性化を認めた.今回,直腸内視鏡検査での多発性不整形潰瘍および,経肛門的超音波検査,CT,MRIでの直腸の全周性全層性の肥厚は,梅毒性直腸炎に特徴的な所見と思われた.

Relationship between positive self-complexity (P-SC), satisfaction, happiness, and depression was investigated in university students (N=485). Participants completed a questionnaire on satisfaction, happiness, depression, and P-SC. Covariance structure analysis revealed that P-SC was positively associated with satisfaction and happiness, and satisfaction and happiness were negatively associated with depression. These findings suggest that satisfaction and happiness mediated between P-SC and depression. It is concluded that interventions to increase P-SC might increase satisfaction and happiness, and improve depression among university students.

Taking up the 3D as an objective of interest for the secondary and high school students as a learning theme, the authors of this paper made an attempt to develop the 3D teaching material enabling us to deliver a message to the students in purport that during the process of their learning the theory of the stereoscopic vision the subjects “why? And how?” can be solved when the learning subjects are studied in a correlated manner. The material of the learning is as follows: Allowing the secondary school students and general high school students to learning the fundamental theory of the 3D through the experiments of stereoscopic vision and thereafter enabling them to learn two methods of drawing some simple anaglyphs as the application of the learning of the fundamental principle. Furthermore the high school students who wish to take scientific courses throughout their life are induced to be aware of the fact that mathematics is an efficient weapon to solve the problematic points when the stereoscopic vision is reduced into a specific model as developed learning..

Total Liquid Ventilation (TLV) is an innovative experimental method of mechanical-assisted ventilation in which lungs are totally filled and then ventilated with a tidal volume of Perfluorocarbon (PFC) by using a dedicated liquid ventilator. So far, we developed the TLV system which consists of membrane oxygenator and a cylinder pump. In this system, PFC gas exchange is performed when passing through the oxygenator. Therefore, this system is largely dependent on the oxygenator performance, and carbon dioxide removal is difficult. In this study, we developed the recirculation TLV system and examined gas exchange ability. This system consists of the conventional TLV system and the recirculation circuit. As a result, the recirculation TLV system as compared to the conventional systems, improved about 25% carbon dioxide removal capability, and partial pressure of carbon dioxide was less than 5 mmHg. This system has a high gas exchange performance.
