A 72-year-old man presented with persistent oligoarthritis and positive results for rheumatoid factor and was suspected of having rheumatoid arthritis (RA). However, the musculoskeletal ultrasonography (MSUS) findings were not consistent with those of typical RA. He had undergone surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome, which allowed both histopathological and microbiological examinations to be performed. A synovial tissue culture was positive for Sporothrix schenckii, and he was diagnosed with sporotrichal tenosynovitis. He received anti-fungal therapy, and the sporotrichal tenosynovitis resolved. This case suggests that MSUS is a useful modality, and sporotrichal tenosynovitis, though rare, should be considered in the differential diagnosis of RA.

Recently, the area of wasting land, such as abandoned land, disposed refuse land, disposed material land is increasing,in suburban area. This background is the decline of farmland value by the serious situation of agriculture, and high demand for urban land use by facilities for travel. This paper clarify the diversity of wasting, categorizing wasting land, and analyzing the process of its wasting. Abandoned land can be categorizing in the view points of the curse of abandoning, attribute of land owner. Urban land can be categorizing in the view points of formation of wasting, attribute of land owner, maintenance worker.

Land use planning and management is not utilized in Japan for disaster management although it is considered one of the countermeasures and under the investigation of its applicability. Also, risk management is a rising framework for disaster management in these years. In this paper, land use planning and management method is studied to extract essential factors through the case study of Wellington City of New Zealand from the risk management perspective. Then, the land use planning method incorporating management point of view and applicable for the municipal government is developed based on the foundlings from the case study.

We have developed a method and a system to quantitatively evaluate human pain without relying on subjective criteria. The concept of pain quantification is to compare the magnitude of the subject's pain to the magnitude of a painless electric stimulus that is comparable to actual pain. We quantified degree of pain as the pain ratio, based on the ratio between pain equivalent current and minimum perceived current. In the system developed as the objective of this study, a gradually increasing pulsed current (frequency was 50 Hz, and the pulse width was 0.3 ms) was applied to the subject's medial forearms, and the subjects compared the magnitude of this sensation to electrical stimulation produced by an electrical current. Using test equipment, we conducted basic evaluations of measurement principles. We induced two types of experimental pain, by applying weight load to the upper arm and the lower leg, and by pinching the skin using clips. We examined whether changes in the degree of sensation with respect to electrical stimulation used in this method could be accurately observed, and whether or not it was possible to accurately and with high reproducibility measure minimum perceived current and pain equivalent current. As a result, we were able to make a clear comparison between pain and the degree of stimulation by electrical current, which was a sensation differing from pain. Although there were individual differences in the measured values, the reproducibility of the pain equivalent current as measured was favorable, and the measured values for pain ratio were also reproducible. We confirmed in the present study that the degree of experimental pain can be expressed as quantitative numerical values using an index defined as pain ratio.

Questionnaire survey concerning practical use of generic immunosuppressive agents and the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT) guideline was conducted in 130 clinical institutions including transplant hospitals where the members of The Japan Society for Organ Preservation and Biology were working. Forty five institutions answered the questionnaire survey (the recovery rate: 34.6%). Use of generic immunosuppressive agents in the institutions has been different among the agents; tacrolimus (6.7%), cyclosporin (8.9%) and mycophenorate mofetil (8.9%) and corticosteroid injection (51.1%). The results indicated that use of generic immunosuppressive agents, especially in the agents that require therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) for dose adjustment, have not been spread in Japan. The most of the institutions (greater than 62%) agreed with the ESOT guideline for generic substitution of immunosuppressive agents. It is considered that the Japanese guideline is also required to prepare according to ESOT guideline, though the use of generic products have not been popular yet Japan.

1971年11月11日,川崎市生田緑地内で行なわれたローム丘陵地崩壊実験では,予期しない15人の犠牲者をだす事故となった.これについては一般ジャーナリズムは別としても,"そくほう"234号,"国土と教育"11号で詳細に紹介・報告された.これらに対して若干屋上屋を架する感じはするが,地質の面について多少の資料と観点を補う意味でのべておきたい.本稿は主として事故直後の観察によるもので,観察・資料の面で制約があり,細部の点で正確を期しがたかった面はあるが,現在,総理府委嘱の調査委員会によって調査が進められているので,それが公表された段階においてより明らかにされるであろう.

<p>日本では長らくインターネットを利用した選挙活動が禁止されていたが,2013年4月の公職選挙法改正を契機にネット選挙が解禁されることとなった。ネット選挙解禁後の初の国政選挙は第23回参議院議員選挙であり,2014年12月の第47回から衆議院議員総選挙もネット選挙解禁を迎えている。</p><p>本研究では,先行研究において選挙期間中の候補者のソーシャルメディアにおける投稿内容分析の手法が確立されていない一方で,新聞社により単純な単語抽出からの分析がなされている現状を問題意識とし,各政党における利用傾向の差異について検討した。分析結果より,別アカウントの利用や代理投稿,外部サービスの利用を行っている投稿が多数存在し,単純な単語抽出からではこうした特徴的な投稿の差異が十分に捉えられないことを明らかにした。加えて,こうした特徴的な投稿の利用傾向は政党間で異なっており,単純な単語抽出からの分析を政党間の比較に用いることが不適切である可能性が示された。</p>
