EUではHorizon 2020のワークプログラムの一つとして「Science with and for Society社会とともに社会のための科学」においてRRIが提案され, RRIの6つのディメンジョン1. 社会的関係者の関与, 2. ジェンダーの平等性, 3. オープンアクセス 4. ガバナンス, 5. 倫理性, 6. 科学教育を取り入れた様々な教育プロジェクトが実施され,教員向けの多数のモジュールや教材開発の成果が上がっている.その概要を述べ,日本の科学技術・イノベーション(STI)基本法が本年6月に施行されたが,日本の科学技術・イノベーション基本計画におけるRRIの影響やどのように取り込まれているかを検証し,科学教育での取り組みについて考察した.

It has become significant to illustrate the environmental load emissions and the costs by waste recycling system, and to improve the actual recycling processes in various industries. Objective of this study is to evaluate the carbon dioxide emission and costs in the construction processes of new and recycled pavement. Three kinds of materials (asphalt, cement, and aggregate) are put into road building. We reached the recycling effects in the carbon dioxide emission and construction costs by applying these materials to some model cases of the traffic volume. The following results were obtained in this study.(1) Recycling of pavement waste asphalt is effective for reducing 56% of carbon dioxide emission.(2) Recycling of pavement waste aggregate increases carbon dioxide emission but it is greatly effective for saving resources consumption.(3) While the recycled asphalt pavement is expected to have some advantages in reducing carbon dioxide emission and construction costs, it was founded the recycled concrete pavement to increase carbon dioxide emission and construction costs.

Zircon is the only candidate of Hadean terrestrial material that can be collected because it can survive physically and chemically, as well as maintain its U–Pb age system during omnigenous geological events. However, Hadean zircons are rare, so many age analyses of zircons are required to isolate Hadean zircon grains. There are two ways to improve the analyses; decrease the time required for pre-analyzing processes and decrease the time required for age analysis. New equipment, high-voltage pulse power fragmentation device and automatic zircon pick-up system are effective for crushing rock sample and separating zircon grains, respectively, in a short time. Another potential age analysis, the 207Pb/206Pb age screening analysis, shows good performance in selecting old zircons quickly. Integrative operation of equipment and methods will result in successfully finding numerous Hadean zircons.

アメリカ合衆国憲法修正1条が定める宗教活動の自由は、主語が「連邦議会」であることが示しているように、連邦政府などの公権力による自由の侵害を禁じるものである。しかし、黒人差別撤廃運動の高まりを受けて1964年に制定された人権保護法の第7編(Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964)は、雇用における、人種を初めとしたさまざまな理由による差別を禁じた。これは民間企業などの使用者、すなわち「私人」にも平等保護の規律を及ぼすものだが、差別禁止事由の一つとして「宗教」を定めた結果、私人間(雇用環境)において宗教活動の自由を保障する性格をも帯びることになったのである。本稿は、雇用関係における宗教問題を扱った概説書を参考に、人権保護法第7編が企業に加えている規制の概要を、宗教問題との関連に絞って紹介する。
