日本のテレビドラマでは、在日朝鮮人がどのように描かれてきたのだろうか。本稿では在日朝鮮人と呼ばれるエスニック・グループに出自をもつ松田優作の主演ドラマ「探偵物語」で、多くのマイノリティが登場しながらも日本最大のマイノリティとでもいうべき朝鮮人が描かれなかったことから、在日朝鮮人の隠蔽という問題を考える。これは、アメリカ発の世界的テレビドラマといっていい「刑事コロンボ」における黒人表象と重なるものだといえる。すなわち、イタリアン(ホワイト・マイノリティ)であるコロンボが、WASPの犯人を追いつめるというドラマの影に、本当の民族問題としての黒人やプエルトリカン(あるいはユダヤ系)は描かれないという構図をもっており、これが「探偵物語」の朝鮮人隠蔽と相似形であると考えるからだ。また、その「探偵物語」に先行するドラマとして渥美清主演「泣いてたまるか!」のなかの「豚とマラソン」を取りあげ、日本のテレビドラマで朝鮮人がいかに描かれていったのか、そして在日朝鮮人の描き方として「人格者」としてしか描けない、すなわち隠蔽のコードに埋もれてしまうまでの筋道を論じる。

本首塚人骨を,群馬県八幡平首塚をはじめ,他の中世人骨と骨学的に比較し,本首塚が伝説の通り,戦国時代に由来することを認めた。また中世の合戦には,男性のほか,常に女性が1/3ほど参加したらしい。頭骨の損傷の中には,貫通銃創を疑わせるものがあり,頭皮を剥ぎ,鼻をそぎ,鋸引きさかれたものもある。中世日本人の頭骨は,長頭型,広顔型など一連の現代人とはちがった形質を具え,鎌倉材木座人はその典型とみなされる。

Various bacteria can change to a spherical cell-wall-deficient state, called L-from, in the presence of antibiotics that inhibit cell wall synthesis. L-forms are classified into two types: unstable and stable L-forms. Unstable L-forms revert to a normal walled state in the absence of antibiotics, while stable L-forms remain in their wall-deficient state. The conversion from unstable to stable L-forms has been often observed during long-term cultivation. However, the genetic cause for this conversion is not yet fully understood. Here, we obtained stable Bacillus subtilis L-form strains from unstable L-form strains via three independent long-term culturing experiments. The whole genome sequencing of the long-cultured strains identified many mutations, and some mutations were commonly found in all three long-cultured strains. The knockout strain of one of the commonly mutated genes, tagF, in the ancestral strain lost the ability to revert to walled state (rod shape), supporting that eliminating the function of tagF gene is one of the possible methods to convert unstable L forms to a stable state.

近年,遠隔リハビリテーションの有効性が示されている.米国では脳卒中患者に対し,遠隔Constraint-induced movement therapy(CI療法)が古くから試行されている.事例は脳卒中後右片麻痺を呈し,回復期リハビリテーション病棟退院後当院への外来受診を検討していたが,通院が困難であった.したがって,1回40分の遠隔CI療法を週2回の頻度で計8回実施した.結果,Fugl-Meyer Assessment,Motor Activity Logが回復期リハビリテーション病棟退院後に,臨床的に意味のある最小変化量を超える改善を認めた.本報告では,遠隔CI療法における経過を報告する.

Live pet trade has become one of the greatest threats to wild primate populations. Many primates were imported to Japan, and the country is considered to be a large pet primates market. Among the primates, slow lorises (Nycticebus spp.) were among the most popular species for live pet trade. However, there is not much awareness in Japan about the problems associated with live pet trade, especially among the young generation. In this study, a comic book about slow lorises was created, and its effectiveness as a teaching material for young people was evaluated. The participants, who answered an online survey, included 596 high school students from two high schools in Osaka, Japan. The participants accessed a comic book, short text, or long text, which served as teaching materials, and answered several questions before and after reading the materials such as their experience with pet primates and awareness of the problems. The results revealed that although the participants’ awareness related to infectious diseases, animal welfare, and conservation increased after reading any of the three teaching materials, the comic book did not increase their awareness more than the texts. Approximately 75 % of the participants found each of the materials interesting. Furthermore, approximately between 32.0 and 40.9% of respondents were willing to share information directly with others and between 14.5 and 16.5% of those with SNS (Social Network Service). No differences were found among the three conditions. In addition, while actual experience with primate pets prevented them from promoting awareness about the problem, their level of interest toward animals and experience with primate pets in SNS did not reveal such an effect. These results suggest the importance of providing information, but effective ways to convey information requires further investigation.

シードバンクとは種子を施設内に保存する方法で、成長すると大型になる森林遺伝資源の保存に特に有効である。一方で、効率的な収集と保存のためには対象種の生活史、種子の乾燥耐性や発芽条件などの様々な情報が必要だが、遺伝資源の中でも野生種ではこれらの情報が限られるため困難である。本論文ではシードバンク事業による遺伝資源の持続的な活用を目指し、イギリスの王立キュー植物園で行っているミレニアムシードバンクおよび日本国内のシードバンク施設(農業生物資源ジーンバンク、絶滅危惧種の種子保存、林木ジーンバンク)を紹介し、野生種を扱う上での課題について考察した。野生種の保存には効率的な収集と種子特性に対応した適切な保存処理が必要である。予測モデルや簡易実験などの新しい手法の活用が期待される。また、国内外のシードバンク施設の連携によって、保存に関わる様々な情報をデータベース化し活用することで、収集と保存の効率化とコレクションの品質向上が期待できる。こうした連携の実現を目指した準備が必要である。

Objective: To report a case of symptomatic large cerebral aneurysm of the internal carotid artery (ICA), associated with a primitive trigeminal artery variant (PTAv), which was treated with a balloon occlusion test (BOT) to evaluate ischemic tolerance.Case Presentation: A 79-year-old woman was diagnosed with a symptomatic large cerebral aneurysm of the ICA bifurcating the PTAv due to diplopia. After confirming the ischemic tolerance of the perfusion area and PTAv by BOT, we performed ICA parent artery occlusion with selective embolization of the PTAv. Postoperative MRI showed no ischemic lesion and the diplopia was resolved.Conclusion: ICA parent artery occlusion with PTAv selective embolization after evaluation by BOT is useful in the treatment of large aneurysms.

博物館、美術館、資料館の立地に関して、現地を訪れた際しばしば疑問に思うことがある。どうしてこんな辺鄙な所に作ったのか? 特に交通の便に関して不満が多い。本稿は、こうした素朴な疑問から出発して、ミュージアムの立地について考察する。まず、立地の失敗の原因と克服の方法、最近の傾向等を分析する。そして望ましい立地条件として交通の便と類似施設の集積の他に、特性のある土地をあげ、それを多くの事例を挙げて類型化している。
