This paper analyzes -lIK, a productive suffix in Modern Uyghur. In the literature, -lIK has been treated from morphological or syntactic perspectives. The present paper examines both of these two aspects of -lIK. Particularly, I point out that while words suffixed with -lIK are registered in the lexicon as such, the verbal stem to which -lIK attaches can still preserve its syntactic function.

脳卒中片麻痺患者40例を対象に,背臥位で両膝屈曲位での腰上げ動作(ブリッジ)を行なわせ,両下肢の足底にかかる荷重を左右別々の体重計を用いて測定した。その時の患側の荷重量の変化と,下肢のブルンストロームステージとの関係を検討したところ,ブルンストロームステージⅣ以降において,患肢にかかる荷重及び荷重量の変化は,ステージが高いほど大きかった。以上の結果から荷重量の変化は,麻痺の回復段階の客観的な指標として利用しうる可能性があることが推測された。

Although sample-size planning is important for research integrity and useful for designing experiments, it appears to be not yet fully spread in cognitive psychology. The present study examined descriptions for sample-size planning in papers that published in Psychonomic Bulletin & Review and Journal of Experimental Psychology: General. Although some researches determined their sample size without referring to statistical power analysis, they derived the size based on prior research. Not a few researches reported results of power analysis without describing exact values of power and effect sizes and types of targeted effects. To communicate findings more correctly, it should be included descriptions specifying targeted sample sizes and their basis that enables readers to calculate the values irrespective of statistical methods or not. Finally, I discussed the risk of over-emphasizing prior power analysis in peer review.

A play Red Demon written by Hideki Noda has been produced in four versions since its first performance in June, 1996.; in Japanese, Thai, English, and Korean. It seems this play has been effective for more than ten years. This paper examines the reason. This play keeps an exquisite “sense of distance with reality” to politics after 9.11. And the play expressed a kind of “de-borderline-ness”, showing us memory and history.

身近な環境を造形物で異化する美術の授業を行おうとした時、活動に同意しない児童が出てきた。これは、環境を異化する必然性が見いだせなかったことが原因と思われた。そこで、本論では、クリスト&ジャンクロードのザ・ゲーツプロジェクトにおける環境を異化する必然性についての分析を手がかりに、児童が主体的に環境を異化する造形活動について考察する。近年、都市・地方を問わず、生活環境の中で造形活動を行う取り組みが盛んに行われている。そこでは、造形活動が環境を異化することで、身近な環境への気づきをもたらし、人間と環境が関わる意味を増幅して引き出していると思われる。しかしながら、ザ・ゲーツプロジェクトが実現に25年を要したように、環境を異化する造形活動は日常生活に制約や心理的不安を与える場合もあり、その活動を行う必然性について住民に説明して理解を得るのに、多くの時間と労力を必要とする場合がある。それは、児童が行う環境を異化する造形活動においても同様と思われる。すなわち、児童が身近な環境を異化する必然性を見いだすことができなければ、主体的な環境への働きかけは行われないと思われる。そこで、まず、「一貫性」、「分かりやすさ」、「複雑性」、「ミステリー」の4つの観点で、ザ・ゲーツプロジェクトにおける環境を異化する必然性について分析した。そして、その分析を手がかりに児童が主体的に環境を異化するために、どのような要素で造形活動を構成すればよいのかについて考察した。さらに、その要素を生かした授業実践例の開発に取り組んだ。
