Med., 1988, <b>155</b> (3), 225-232 - Tension lag time (TLT), a latency from the onset of electromyographic activities of prime mover muscle to the rise of tension, of knee extensor muscle was measured at twitch, tetanic, and fast voluntary contraction in three normal subjects. Twitch and tetanic contractions were evoked by four different strengths of electrical stimuli, and the peak tensions attained at fast voluntary contraction were within the range of tensions evoked by electrical stimulation. In each mode of contraction, the relationship between TLT and peak tension (F<sub>max</sub>) was approximated by a hyperbolic function of F<sub>max</sub> (TLT-a)=b. TLT was influenced by three factors: (1) F<sub>max</sub>, the greater F<sub>max</sub>, the shorter TLT; (2) force detection level to point out timing of the rise of tension, the higher the level, the longer TLT was; and (3) the mode of contraction, shortest at the twitch, longest at the voluntary, and intermediate in the tetanic contraction.

Gypsum aggregate specimens have been used in the present study, because brittle, semi-brittle and ductile stress-strain behaviors of the specimen can be controlled only with confining stress level at the room temperature. At confining stresses up to 40 MPa, tri-axial compression and fluid flow experiments have been conducted on the intact specimens and single fracture specimens. It has been indicated that stress-strain behavior is independent of existence of fracture. Moreover, permeability of the single fracture specimen is much higher than intact specimen at conditions of brittle, semi-brittle, intermediate state between semi-brittle and ductile and ductile condition. On the other hand, permeability of the single fracture specimen is not so different from that of the intact specimen at conditions of a transitional behavior between semi-brittle and ductile stress-strain behaviors. As for the geothermal reservoir in the semi-brittle and ductile region, it was suggested that the fracture is retained and permeability is maintained when fracturing occurs due to hydraulic crushing or the like.

2001年のみやぎ国体,2002年のサッカーワールドカップ用の施設として建設された,5万人を収容する宮城県最大のスタジアム。1992年の公開コンペで当選した針生承一,阿部仁史両氏による共同アトリエが設計を担当した。敷地は仙台市中心部から車で約40分の位置にある宮城県総合運動公園内。すでに総合体育館やプールなどが整備されている。

近年腹部超音波検査の進歩と普及により肝嚢胞の診断が容易となり,発見の機会は増加している.当院における1990年1年間の腹部超音波検査件数は約5,100件で168例(3.3%)に肝嚢胞を認め,大きさでは直径4cm以下がほとんどで8cm以上は3例であった.巨大肝嚢胞例2例に対し超音波ガイド下によるエタノール少量注入を施行し良好な結果を得た.自験例を含めた本邦報告例66例の検討では,注入薬剤はエタノール62例,塩酸ミノサイクリン4例であった.注入方法としては超音波ガイド下に7~8Frのピッグテールカテーテルを嚢胞内に挿入して行うのが一般的で,注入後10~30分の体位変換を行い排液する.エタノール注入例を検討すると, 1回の注入量は少量にとどめ,注入後は排液を充分に行い,持続ドレナージを行い2回あるいは3回以上の反復注入をするのが最適と考えられた.

Imperfect and perfect albino Japanese quail, originating from a commercial breeder in Toyohashi, were subjected to genetical analysis. The imperfect albinism is caused by a simple sex-linked recessive gene (sw) that appears to be homologous to the al gene assigned for albino mutants by LAUBER4) and SITTMANN et al.6)Growth of the imperfect albinos was not inferior to that of the wild-type when the albinos were raised in a box protected from sudden temperature decline. Bilateral eye defects (cheesy cataracts) are common in aged imperfect albinos, but this condition does not seem to affect reproductive performance.The perfect albino sire mated to imperfect albino dams resulted in only dark progeny indicating that perfect albinism is a genetically distinct character from imperfect albinism. The high mortality in the progeny of perfect albino is caused by certain lethal factor associated with the perfect albinism.Unusual retardation of growth was observed in female double mutants carrying Y1) and swgenes. After 2 weeks of age, identification of the genotype of such albino mutants was possible by examination of the pattern and intensity of the ghost barring character.

Gen'ichiro Narasaka's collection of Nagoya University Museum received additional materials from his grandson in fall 2011, just before the opening of the special display, titled Gen'ichiro Narasaka's Chugyo-Zufu: Museum of the pioneering anatomist. The new materials consist of nineteen pieces, including the name list of attendants at the thank-you party for Gen'ichiro Narasaka, some illustrations, graduation albums, and a scroll of calligraphy. This report lists these materials, among which photographs, a scroll of calligraphy, and some notebooks are described in details as they illustrate new aspects of Gen'ichiro Narasaka.
