The mechanism of tungsten plating was investigated and the following results were obtained.1) The decomposition potential of tungsten in Na2WO4 solution is more negative than that of hydrogen, and its accurate decomposition potential could not be obtained from its current density potential curves. Of course, its decomposition potential differs according to the kind of cathodic metals.2) In the constant current density electrolysis, the cathodic potential is elevated with the progress of the electrolysis.3) In the constant potential electrolysis (e.g. 0.124V for Pt-W poles), a beautiful deposition of whitish grey metalic luster is obtained, with a little higher potential (e.g. 0.184V for Pt-W poles) a reddish brown metalic luster, and with a much higher potential black and spongy. With the lower potential, nothing is obtained but the generation of hydrogen.4) By the electron diffraction analysis, it is found that the whitish grey metalic deposition is chiefly composed of W-oxide (not WO2 or WO3) with a little metalic tungsten.5) When the Na2WO4 solution is electrolised, the tungsten becomes special cation of its oxide. When the solution is electrolysed with constant cathodic potential, the tungsten is regularly obtained as metalic deposition on the cathode. This deposition is chiefly composed of lower oxide tungsten (such as WO) containing a little tungsten. So, the resistance increases and the potential is elevated with the progress of electrolysis.As the potential is gradually elevated, the deposition grows rich in higher oxide and finally becomes to be spongy.After all, it might be concluded that, in order to obtain thick deposition from Na2WO4 solution, the amount of metallic ions in the solution is to be restricted and hydrogen ions increased, or some other reducing regents more powerful than hydrogen are to be used, or the alloy-plating is to be applyed.

地域の開発に際して文化をどのように位置づけ、利用するか、という問題は実は言語戦略の問題でもある。本稿はそうした地域開発のキャッチフレーズとも標語ともとれる術語についての予備的考察である。ここでとりあげる術語とは〈民話〉である。〈民話〉はしばしば、民俗学の領域に属する語のように思われるが実はそうではない。〈民話〉は民俗研究のなかでは常に一定の留保とともに用いられる術語であり、またそれゆえに広がりを持つ言葉であった。一九五〇年代の日本民俗学において〈民話〉は学術用語としては忌避されていた。それは戦後歴史学のなかで、民話が検討対象となり、民衆の闘いや創造性を示す語として扱われていたことと関連し、民俗学の独立の機運とは裏腹のものであった。そうした留保によって〈民話〉はかえって多くの含意が可能になり、地域社会とも結びつく可能性が残されていった。特に「民話のふるさと」岩手県遠野市では口承文芸というジャンル成立以前の『遠野物語』と重ね合わされることによって〈民話〉が機能した。その結果として、遠野は「〈民話〉のふるさと」となったのである。How to evaluate and utilize culture in community development is also considered as a matter of linguistic strategies. This article provides a preliminary consideration of the terminology used as a catchphrase or slogan for community development. More specifically, this study focuses on folktales. The word "folktale (Minwa)" is often mistaken as a technical term of folklore studies. In reality, folklorists always use the term in a reserved way, which gives it a wide range of meanings. In the 1950s, Japanese folklorists rarely used "folktale" as an academic term. This was partially because after World War II, historians studied folktales using the term to represent creativity or a struggle of people, which was contrary to the trend of independence of folklore studies. Due to the reserved attitude of folklorists, however, the term could have many connotations, leaving the possibility to be linked with local communities. In particular, in Tōno, Iwate Prefecture, a city also known as the Home of Folktales, folktales played a role in relation to "the Legends of Tōno (Tōno Monogatari)" years before the establishment of oral literature as a genre. This is the very reason why the city has become the Home of Folktales.

混合ガウス分布型HMMにおける話者適応方式である「移動ベクトル場平滑化話者適応方式」を提案する.本手法は,話者適応の問題を少量学習音声資料を用いたHMMの再学習による分布の移動問題としてとらえ,学習前後のHMMのガウス分布の平均ベクトルの差分(移動ベクトル)が構成する一つの場(移動ベクトル場)の連続性の拘束条件に基づく移動ベクトルの補間と平滑化により,不十分な学習資料しか得られない場合に生じる(1)未学習モデルの問題と,(2)モデルの推定誤差の問題,に対処するものである.本論文では評価話者に男女各1名を用いた23音素認識実験により,平滑化はモデルの推定誤差を吸収するために有効な手法であることを示した.また,文節音声認識において,本手法の発話様式適応への応用と不特定話者モデルに基づく話者適応への応用を検討し,本手法の有効性を示した.

犬では洗浄する目的によって適したシャンプーの使い分けが要求される。犬の品種の多様化に伴い, 皮毛の性状の違いや, 皮膚病の種類も多彩になっている。動物用シャンプーには抗脂漏性, 抗菌性あるいは保湿性成分などを含んだ製品がある。この報告では過剰皮脂分泌に対応するコールタール, イオウ, サリチル酸などを含有したビルバック社製製品についての臨床試験成績を報告する。動物病院9カ所から無作為に39頭を選び試験に供した。1日1回の割合で1~12回洗浄し, べたつき, 臭い, 毛づや, くし通り, ふけ, 痒みなど9項目を観察した。結果は洗浄効果97%, ふけ・痒み90%, 消臭効果全例, 保湿性97%, 毛づや・潤い84%と良好な効果を得, また泡立ち, 泡切れなどの点でも使用しやすく, 副作用も認めなかった。.
