This paper reviews the Cretaceous ammonoid paleontology mainly in the North Pacific region, especially for recent publications. The species diversity changes through Cretaceous and its relevant articles are first reviewed. The review is continued from the points of view of the morphological analyses of shell shape, the relationship between ammonoid fauna and lithofacies, the isotopic analyses of ammonoid shells, the relationship with other organisms, and taphonomy, etc., for normally coiled and heteromorphic ammonoids, respectively. Finally, the characteristic of ammonoid diversity change in North Pacific region and the ammonoid extinction around the Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary are reviewed.

This study aimed to conduct an analysis based on a survey performed in 4 municipalitieswhich investigated social isolation among elderly persons living alone. This study was conductedas collaborative research between the Minami-Nippon Shimbun and International University ofKagoshima in September 2011, and obtained sample data from 1,000 cases with the support oflocal welfare staff members. Although economic deprivation is often considered the greatest riskfactor for social isolation among elderly persons, this study also focused on differences betweenurban and depopulated areas to analyze the data. As the results, the level of social activities andsense of isolation were particularly affected by the level of income. This was marked in depopulated areas, where infrastructure has not been improved compared to urban areas.

本稿は、日本社会の水面下で深刻化しつつある学齢超過者の学習権というグローバルな課題について、就学支援という形で支えるローカルの実践事例から、ボランティアの意義を考察したものである。未だ日本に居住する外国人の初等教育が保障される仕組みは構築されていない。そのため、学齢(日本の義務教育年限)期であるにもかからず、学校に通ってない不就学の子どもが実在する。こうした背景により、学齢期に不就学であった外国人住民は学齢を超過した時には義務教育未修了者となるものの、社会から「見えない」存在であるがために、日本社会では学齢を超過した外国人の学習権という課題が置き去りにされてきた。そのなかで、外国人が多く暮らす地域では、ボランティアが中心となり、学齢を超過した義務教育未修了の外国人住民の就学支援を行っている。画一的な思考ではなくグローバルとローカルの複眼的思考を持ったボランティアの尽力は、学齢超過者の「日本で生活していく中で高校進学して学力を向上したい」「美容師になりたい」などの夢の具現化に大きく寄与している。

This paper introduces "Nagasaki Kankei Monjo (The Documents related to Nagasaki)" which is archived at Hideo Tsuda Library of Kansai University, and aims to investigate the life in Nagasaki Kaisyo at the end of Tokugawa Syogunate. "Nagasaki Kankei Monjo" contains huge amount of documents, mainly consists of documents written by (or suspected to be written by) Yamada (山田) Kaduki (香月), the official working at Nagasaki Kaisyo, and documents of Ito Family, and trading records at Nagasaki Kaisyo. This paper focus on "Honuri Negumi Cho (本売直組帳) to investigate "Negumi (直組)", the products imported by Chinese or Dutch ships to Japan in 1845. Nagasaki Kaisyo handled "Negumi (直組)" for variety kinds of imported products. We think it basically carried out its business by sometimes raising the price of imported goods, and othertimes by folloing the precedent price "Zenkakusumi Nedan (前格済直段)". By using these two methods, the Kaisyo could carried out its business smoothly. In addition to that, this paper investigate diaries wirtten (or suspected to be written) by the officials in Kaisyo like Yamada, and introduced their activities like going to Osaka, during Genji and Keio periods.
