本研究では,IPT の背景,設問作成,その実施方法について,また成績の傾向について分析を行う.特に分析では,点双列相関係数を使用して,項目難易度のほかに識別力を踏まえて設問の見直しについて例を挙げて説明し,IPT を今後,プレースメントテストとして実施する際の問題点や改善方法を提案する.

This paper describes our recent studies onstring pattern matching in compressed textsmainly from practical viewpoints.The aim is to speed up the string pattern matching task in comparison with an ordinary search over the original texts.We have successfully developed (1) an AC type algorithmfor searching in Huffman encoded files and (2) a KMP typealgorithm and (3) a BM type algorithm for searchingin files compressed by the so-called byte pair encoding (BPE).Each of the algorithms reduces the search timeat nearly the same rate as the compression ratio.Surprisingly the BM type algorithm runs over BPE compressed filesabout $1.2$--$3.0$ times faster thanthe exact match routines of the software package {?tt agrep} which is known as the fastest pattern matching tool.

The two periods, which stand out in the literary history of the United States,are the "American Renaissance" of mid-nineteenth century,and the 1920s which began with the May Day riots in 1919, and died a spectacular death in October 1929. " The jazz age" is the name given to this special decade, " an age of miracles, an age of art , an age of excess, and an age of satire." After the end of the First World War, the United States suddenly found itself on its way to a world's superpower, to quote F.Scott Fitzgerald," it danced into the limelight" on the international political stage. The age gave women their suffrage, and liberated women dramatized themselves as flappers. They had got rid of the Victorian mores of genteel tradition, smoked and drank in public,enjyoying free sex. Their lifestyle and fashion became the cultural symbol of the decade, when " a whole race[went] hedonistic, deciding on pleasure." The same 1920s produced a rich variety of artists, novelists, and poets: Fitzgerald, Hemingway, Faulkner, Dreiser, Dos Passos, and such modernist poets as Ezra Pound, T.S.Eliot, W.C.Williams, and Wallace Stevens. Also, a group of gifted women poets- Amy Lowell, Mina Roy, Dorothy Parker, Elinor Wylie, and Edna St.Vincent Millay- gave the 1920s its distinct color and " a lovely light." However, later on they have either been critically ignored or simply forgotten in the literary history of the United States. This essay is a vindication of Edna St.Vincent Millay(1892-1950), the first woman poet who won a Pulitzer Prize for The Ballad of the Harp-Weaver(1923), through an examination of her representative poems in their historical context then and now. She is the "savage beauty, " who dedicated her life to the creation of beauty, leaving significant poetical works including some 200 sonnets written on the ecstasy and the anguish of love.

新型コロナウイルス感染症は,花き業界にも多大な影響を与えた。特に2020年3~5月の第1波では,業務用需要が大幅に減少した結果,大量の花が廃棄され,「フラワーロス」と称された。しかし,小売店での売れ残りに伴うロスや,出荷規格から外れたことによるロスなど,花の廃棄の問題は以前から存在している。本論は,小売業者による花の廃棄問題への対策の内容を解明し,コロナ禍における状況変化を明らかにすることを目的とした。そして,花の廃棄対策に積極的に取り組む小売業者3社の事例分析により,以下の2点を明らかにした。①発生を抑制・減量化するために,規格外品の販路の開拓,サブスクリプションサービスやオンラインD2C販売など流通の短縮化,販売数の確定や正確な予測などに取り組んでいる。②対策を行ったうえでも発生するロスを活用して,堆肥化などの新たな製品にリサイクル・アップサイクルしている。また,コロナ禍におけるフラワーロスへの関心の高まりが,広い範囲での花の廃棄削減に効果を発揮していることも明らかにした。

Transporting patients down stairs by carrying is associated with a particularly high fall risk for patients and the occurrence of back pain among emergency medical technicians. The present study aimed to verify the effectiveness of the Airstretcher device, which was developed to reduce rescuers’ physical burden when transporting patients by dragging along the floor and down stairs. Forty-one paramedical students used three devices to transport a 65-kg manikin down stairs from the 3rd to the 1st floor. To verify the physical burden while carrying the stretchers, ratings of perceived exertion were measured using the Borg CR10 scale immediately after the task. Mean Borg CR10 scores (standard deviation) were 3.6 (1.7), 4.1 (1.8), 5.6 (2.4), and 4.2 (1.8) for the Airstretcher with dragging, Airstretcher with lifting, backboard with lifting, and tarpaulin with lifting conditions, respectively (p < 0.01). Multiple comparisons revealed that the Airstretcher with dragging condition was associated with significantly lower Borg CR10 scores compared with the backboard with lifting condition (p < 0.01). When the analysis was divided by handling position, estimated Borg CR10 values (standard error) for head position were 4.4 (1.3), 2.9 (0.9), 3.2 (0.8), and 4.0 (1.1) for the Airstretcher with dragging, Airstretcher with lifting, backboard with lifting, and tarpaulin with lifting conditions, respectively, after adjusting for participant and duration time (F = 1.4, p < 0.25). The estimated Borg CR10 value (standard error) for toe position in the Airstretcher with dragging condition was 2.0 (0.8), and the scores for the side position were 4.9 (0.4), 6.1 (0.3), and 4.7 (0.4) for the Airstretcher with lifting, backboard with lifting, and tarpaulin with lifting conditions, respectively, after adjusting for participant and duration time (F = 3.6, p = 0.02). Transferring a patient down stairs inside a house by dragging using the Airstretcher may reduce the physical burden for rescuers.

オリンピックではセキュリティ確保は必須である.しかし,平和の祭典を皆が心から楽しむために,セキュリティを強化するあまり不便で不快な思いをさせてはいけない.ロンドン,ソチ,リオデジャネイロでのオリンピック経験から,バイオメトリクスや監視カメラと結びついたアイデンティティ管理強化とともに心地よいおもてなしの同時実現が東京での課題となる.さらに,2020年に予想される新種のサイバー攻撃やマルチコプター等新技術利用攻撃に対処するため,世界連携によるトレーサビリティの枠組みが重要になると考えられる.

二次元で描かれたイラストを立体的に動かす技術が発展しており、近年多くのコンテンツで利用されている。本研究では、Live2Dを用いたキャラクターの疑似的な立体表現と、従来の3DCGによる立体表現を重ね、それぞれ異なるカメラワークと立体表現の組み合わせによる映像を制作する。異なる立体表現を同時に提示することで得られる空間認識刺激を利用した映像表現手法について報告を行う
