化学機械メーカーは, エンジニアリング会社, 単一機器メーカー, コンストラクター (建設会社) の三種に大別できる。現在, 化学工業の広い分野に対応するために専門化が非常に進みつつあるが, 一方コストダウンのため装置がintegrationしつつある。この専門化とintegradonとをいかに両立させるかということが, 工業プラントを経済的に有利に建設する鍵になっている。技術資料を収集し消化して, 経済的なプラントの設計を目的とするエンジニアリング会社で化工出身者に必要なことは, 基本としては, 安全, 経済, 運転を考えた設計能力を有することである。最近, 経済性を要求されることが多くなって来たので, 設計の手法としてコンピューターが頻繁に利用されており, また, コンピューター制御の方式も徐々に取入れられつつある。一方, 工場全体のintegrationになると, 電気, 土木, 建築の分野の人によってプロジェクトシステムがとられるが, プラントを経済的に使い易いものとするために中心となるのは, 化工出身者である。

Effect of Tinospora cordifolia extract on modulation of hepatoprotective and immunostimulatory functions in carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) intoxicated mature rats is reported here. Administration of CCl4 (0.7 ml/kg body weight for 7 days) produces damage in the liver as evident by estimation of enzymes such as serum glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (SGOT), serum glutamate pyruvate transminase (SGPT) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) as well as serum bilirubin level. CCl4 administration also causes immunosuppressive effects as indicated by phagocytic capacity, chemotactic migration and cell adhesiveness of rat peritoneal macrophages. However, treatment with T. cordifolia extract (100 mg/kg body weight for 15 days) in CCl4 intoxicated rats was found to protect the liver, as indicated by enzyme level in serum. A significant reduction in serum levels of SGOT, SGPT, ALP, bilirubin were observed following T. cordifolia treatment during CCl4 intoxication. Treatment with T. cordifolia extract also deleted the immunosuppressive effect of CCl4, since a significant increment in the functional capacities of rat peritoneal macrophages (PMφ) was observed following T. cordifolia treatment. The results of our experiment suggest that treatment by T. cordifolia extract may be the critical remedy for the adverse effect of CCl4 in liver function as well as immune functions.

本研究は,学校における実践研究の発展要因の構造に関するモデルを開発することを目的とするものである.そのために,4つの小中学校を対象として,研究推進リーダーを務めた教師に,実践研究の詳細について,聞き取り調査を実施した.得られたデータを,「専門的な学習共同体」の発展要因に関する先行知見を参照して整理し,また4校間で比較して,学校における実践研究の発展を促す要因の構造を暫定的にモデル化した.次いで,モデルの信頼性を検証するために,あらたに別の3つの小学校を対象として,研究推進リーダーを務めた教師に,同様の聞き取り調査を実施した.得られたデータを,再度「専門的な学習共同体」の発展に関する知見を用いて分析し,3校間で比較して共通項を導き出した.そして,それらとモデルの整合性を分析して,その信頼性を確認した.また,一部の要因を加えて,要因間の順序性や関係性を考慮し,モデルを精緻化した.

This paper reexamines Simon's model which formulates the stochastic processes yielding the Yule city size distribution. First, in conjunction with the empirical fact that the form of city size distributions is stable over time, the concept of the “steady state” stated by Simon is clarified. Second, Simon's assumptions and the “steady state” are shown to be contradictory. Third, however, it is shown that this contradiction is disolved in the context of the “asymptotic steady state”. Based on these reconsiderations, fourth, Simon's model is reformulated. Last, in the context of this reformulated Simon's model, the “steady state” is reconsidered.

1) 本報には,わが国において桑樹主要害虫の一つとして知られたクワキジラミAnomoneura mori SCHWARZ (1896)の生態,ならびにその寄生がカイコの発育に及ぼす影響について,調査した結果の大要を報告した。2) 本種は年1回の発生で,成虫態で越年し,北海道では5月下旬頃,新葉の開く直前の桑樹に来り,葉の開展を待って産卵する。産卵は主として葉裏になされ,発生の多いときは1葉数百粒に及ぶことがある。卵期およそ18日,ふ化した仔虫は葉裏にあって汁液を吸収し,腹端より細長い糸状の白色ろう質物をラセン状または屈曲して分泌する。このため葉裏は一面に白綿にて覆われた観を呈する。仔虫期間およそ22日,この間4回脱皮し,5令を経て成虫となる。1雌の産卵数は平均440粒。3) 成虫の色彩は羽化後間もない期間と,越年したものとの間では大いに異なる。羽化後間もないものは全体淡青緑色で,前翅もほとんど透明であるが,羽化後時間の経過と共に色彩を変へ,体は暗褐色となり,前翅には多数の黒褐色小点紋を密布する。仔虫は令を加えるごとに触角の節数を増加する。すなわち第1令から第5令に至る触角節数は3:3:4:8:10である。翅芽は第1令の未期から認められる。4) 桑葉に付着しているキジラミの卵および第1∼第3令までの仔虫をカイコに給与するときは,第3令以後のカイコは,それらを嫌忌することなく,桑葉と共に咬食嚥下する。5) カイコがキジラミ卵ならびに仔虫を摂食するときは,発育に障害があるもののようで,上簇をおくらせ,繭重を減じ,繭形を小さくする。また疾病に対する抵抗力を減じへい死率を増加する。それより羽化した成虫は生存期間を短縮する傾向がある。このことはキジラミ卵ならびに仔虫そのものによる中毒などのような直接の影響とするよりも,それらを摂食することにより栄養不良を惹起しそれに伴う間接の影響と見るべきもののようである。

9-(2'-O-Methanesulfonyl- or trifluoromethanesulfonyl-3', 5'-di-O-tetrahydropyranyl-β-D-arabinofuranosyl) adenine (Ia, b) were reacted with lithium chloride or tetrabutylammonium halide to yield 2'-halogeno-2'-deoxy compounds (IIa-d). These halogeno compounds were deprotected with 80% acetic acid to give 2'-chloro-, 2'-bromo-, 2'-fluoro and 2'-iodo-2'-deoxyadenosine (IVa-d) in overall yields of 12-25% from the compound I. Ultraviolet absorption properties, 1H and 13C-nuclear magnetic resonance spectral properties were recorded on the compounds IVa-d.

9-(β-D-Arabinofuranosyl) adenine 5'-phosphate was obtained from adenosine 5'-phosphate via the novel intermediate 8, 2'-O-cycloadenosine 5'-phosphate. In contrast to the synthesis of 9-(β-D-arabinofuranosyl) adenine, it was difficult to cleave this compound by hydrogen sulfide directly to 8, 2'-O-cycloadenosine 5'-phosphate because of a considerable degree of dephosphorylation. However N-acylated 8, 2'-O-cycloadenosine 5'-phosphate was readily cleaved at the cyclo-bond by hydrogen sulfide. Desulfurization of 8-mercapto-9-(β-D-arabinofuranosyl) adenine 5'-phosphate gave the desired pure crystalline product.'

Guanine and xanthine nucleoside derivatives (3, 4 and 6) bearing nitrosourea functional groups were synthesized from guanine nucleoside ureas (2) obtained by the reaction of 2'-deoxy-2'-aminoguanosine (1) with isocyanates and their antitumor activity against sarcoma-180 solid tumor and leukemia L-1210 were determined. Among the compounds tested, 2'-deoxy-2'-[3-(2-chloroethyl)-3-nitrosoureido]-xanthosine (4b) found to have the most potent activity. Moreover, very slight decrease in white blood cells of mice bearing sarcoma-180 solid tumor was observed after administration of 4b.
