Webアプリケーションとして複数プレイヤー参加型RPGを簡易に作成するためのプログラミングツールについて述べる.このツールの設計目標は単純な指定でさまざまなRPGを作成できることである.プログラミングの初心者や小学生などもこのツールの対象ユーザに含めている.ツールはGUIエディタとコードジェネレータからなる.GUIエディタはRPGのキャラクタの動作を規定する状態遷移図を作成するためのものである.コードジェネレータは,ゲームを構成するためのC,PHP,JavaScript,HTMLなどのコードを状態遷移図から生成する.生成されたRPGは,Firefox,Safari,IEといったよく使われるWebブラウザで操作できる.RPGのプレイヤーがWebブラウザ上でクリックやキー入力を行うと,その結果がWebサーバに送られデータベースに記録される.その結果,プレイヤーの入力が,他のプレイヤーのアバタやプレイヤーと関連を持たないゲームキャラクタに影響を与えることができ,さらにそれが他のプレイヤーの画面に反映される.状態遷移図は特定のプログラミング言語には依存せずに動作を規定するための道具である.そして,その構造は単純なために簡単に学習できるとともに,ゲームキャラクタの振舞指定に適している.本報告では,ツールを用いて容易にWeb用のRPGを作成できる可能性について述べる.

原発建設計画がもちあがった地域社会において住民の意思表示は重要であるが、自らの立場をあからさまに表明しないという選択をする人々も存在する。しかし新潟県巻町では、「巻原発・住民投票を実行する会」の結成、自主管理の住民投票という一連の過程において、そのような人たちまでも意思表示をすることが可能となった。そこで、地域社会における住民の意思表示を条件づけている地域生活規範に注目しながら、日常生活レベルにおける住民の意思表示の技法と、地域社会レベルで住民の意思が発現する仕組みについて考察する。その結果、意思表示に関する地域生活規範の変化のパターンが明らかになった。

We investigate the ground-state phase diagram of the bond-alternating <italic>S</italic>= 2 quantum spin chain with the <italic>XXZ</italic>and on-site anisotropies. For the on-site anisotropies, in addition to the popular <inline-formula><tex-math version="MathJax"><![CDATA[\(D_{2}\sum\nolimits_{j} (S_{j}^{z})^{2}\)]]></tex-math></inline-formula>term, we consider the <inline-formula><tex-math version="MathJax"><![CDATA[\(D_{4}\sum\nolimits_{j} (S_{j}^{z})^{4}\)]]></tex-math></inline-formula>term. Mainly we use the exact diagonalization and the level spectroscopy analysis. We show that the Haldane state, large-<italic>D</italic>state and the Dimer2 state belong to the same trivial phase, by finding the existence of adiabatic paths directly connecting these states without the quantum phase transition. Similarly, we show that the intermediate-<italic>D</italic>state and the Dimer1 state belong to the same symmetry protected topological phase.

We succeeded in growing high-quality single crystals of the pyrite-type cubic compounds CoSe₂and CoS₂using the transport agent CoBr₂and measured the electrical resistivity, specific heat, magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, and de Haas–van Alphen (dHvA) effect. We confirmed that CoSe₂is an exchange-enhanced paramagnet revealing a broad maximum at around 50 K in the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility. The electronic specific heat coefficient is moderately large, γ = 18 mJ/(K²·mol). On the other hand, CoS₂is a ferromagnet with a Curie temperature <italic>T</italic>_C= 122 K and an ordered moment μ_s= 0.93 μ_B/Co. The γ of 21 mJ/(K²·mol) of CoS₂is slightly larger than that of CoSe₂. A large ordered moment, together with a large γ, is characteristic of CoS₂because CoS₂is a half-metallic spin state in the ferromagnetic state. Correspondingly, we detected a main dHvA branch with a large cyclotron effective mass of 13<italic>m</italic>₀in the dHvA experiments. The detected dHvA branches in CoS₂and CoSe₂are discussed on the basis of the results of energy band calculations, revealing a broken fourfold symmetry in the angular dependence of the dHvA frequency.

In this study, we report the effects of the exciton line widths on the amplitude of quantum beat oscillations using a model with the Voigt function. Using the Voigt function, we find that the maximum amplitude appears at the central energy between two excitons. This result agrees with many previous experimental results. Our analysis helps in identifying the condition for strong quantum beat oscillation, which is important for device applications such as terahertz electromagnetic wave emitters and ultrafast switches.

住区基幹公園の環境価値形成における行動の影響を把握するために,東京区部の 6公園に対して住民意識調査を実施し,利用者の環境価値意識に関する構造化(SEMモデル)および心理的指標と経済的指標を用いた価値評価を実施した。その結果,SEM モデルから住区基幹公園に対する環境価値が行動の影響を強く受けることが明らかになり,利用者を分類した行動クラスターの比較から行動の多様化が環境価値を高めることが心理・経済的評価の両面において示唆された。地区公園と近隣公園を比較すると,この効果は公園の大きさに関係なく見られ,公園の価値を高めるためには,行動を多様化する質的配慮が有効であると考えられた。

In recent years, Japanese nuclear power plants experienced multiple large earthquakes. It is very important to assess the seismic safety of piping taken the occurrence of such a large earthquake into account, when a crack exists in pipe welding joint. One of the key issues is the effect of excessive loading in the seismic response wave on the fatigue crack growth behaviour. We performed fatigue crack growth tests under constant amplitude cyclic loading with a single excessive tensile/compressive load for Ni-based alloy weld metal. Acceleration and retardation was confirmed in crack growth due to the excessive loading. The stress distribution in front of crack tip and the shape of crack tip were investigated to clarify the cause of changes of crack growth rate. A crack growth evaluation method has been proposed considering the effects of the excessive loading based on the variation of the stress distribution in front of crack tip and the crack blunting. The predicted crack growth rate by the proposed method was in good agreement with the experimental ones.

The formation process of electronic communities on WWW bulletin boards was observed for 6 months. Subjects were 106 Internet users were unacquainted with one another. They communicated freely on a WWW bulletin board. Based on time course change of the number of remarks, participants were classified into 3 groups; high-participation group, low-participation group, and early high-participation group, members of which made remarks only in the early days. Compared with the other groups, subjects in the high-paticipation group tended to more frequently use the network for sending information (e.g. making remarks on Netnews), and had higher communication skills, which formed a sub-structure of social skills. The results suggest that social skills were related to active participation in electronic communities.

2胚移植によって受胎した正常双胎妊娠牛(N牛), フリーマーチン妊娠牛(F牛)および反転性裂体妊娠牛(S牛)の妊娠全期間にわたる末梢血中プロジェステロン(P<SUB>4</SUB>), エストロン(E<SUB>1</SUB>)およびエストラジオール(E<SUB>2</SUB>)の消長を調べた. 血中P4濃度は, F牛が妊娠254日に双子を死産した際に急減した他は, 三者の間には相違がみられなかった. 血中E1濃度は, N牛においては好期の経過に伴い上昇し, 分娩日に最高値を示した後に急減し, F牛においてはN牛よりも低い値で推移し, 妊娠254日に突然上昇した後に急減した. また, S牛においてもN牛より低く, 変動を伴って推移した. 血中E<SUB>2</SUB>濃度は, 三者ともにE<SUB>1</SUB>より低く, かつE<SUB>1</SUB>濃度に平行して推移した. 血中E<SUB>1</SUB>, E<SUB>2</SUB>濃度は, 分娩後1日にN牛では両者とも20pg/ml以下の値に低下したが, F牛とS牛はE<SUB>1</SUB>が150kg/ml以上, E<SUB>2</SUB>が20pg/ml以上の値を示した. この成績は, 妊娠中の胎子数の判定同様子宮内の胞子の予後の判定においても, P<SUB>4</SUB>よりE<SUB>1</SUB>やE<SUB>2</SUB>の方が優れた指標となることを示唆している.

日本を含めて,旧北区東部に分布するヒメギス類についての再検討を試みた.本研究では従来Metriopteraの亜属のひとつとして扱われていたEobianaを独立属と認めた.この属にはE.japonica(イブキヒメギス)とE.engelhardtiの2種が属し,後者にはシベリアなどに分布するengelhardti(シベリアヒメギス:新称)と日本に分布するsubtropica(ヒメギス)の2亜種があり,これら属,種,亜種の再記載を行った.この結果,日本で用いられたMetrioptera hime FURUKAWA,1950は,Eobiana engelhardti subtropica BEY-BIENKO,1949となる.
