限られた人員構成の中, マニュアルを使って短時間で引継ぎを行い, 確実に成果を出していくことを私たちは求められている。しかし, それを可能にしているところはどれぐらいあるのだろうか。なぜうまくマニュアルを活用できないのか。そして, マニュアルを活用していく際, 多くの人が見過ごしている点は何なのか。新任者の能力向上に大きな影響を与えるのは直接OJTを行う指導者だといっても過言ではない。そこで指導する側の心構えについて再確認をし, マニュアルについては具体的な事例を用い, 活きたマニュアルにするためのコツと, 確実に成果を出すための効果的な引継ぎ方法について伝えていきたい。

This paper addresses some issues related to relationship between lithospheric thermal regime and depth extent of seismicity. Thickness of seismogenic crustal layer correlates with surface heat flow in most intraplate seismic areas of the world. Although inverse relationship between heat flow and the base of seismogenic zone is obvious, quantitative relationships are less certain. Compilation of previous studies shows that temperatures at the base of seismogenic zone appear to be distributed from about 250° to 450° over a large depth interval, 5-30 km, at different tectonic settings. It supports that temperature is one of factors governing the focal depth. Variations in lithology, slip rate, pore pressure, and focal mechanism may account for the temperature difference. Geothermal gradient data and bottom depth of magnetized layers are also useful proxy to reveal the base of seismogenic zone. These multidisciplinary data may provide a useful indicator of lithospheric thermal structure and improve the correlation with depth limit of seismicity.

The Fukushima Medical University conducted a mental health care program for evacuees after the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident. However, the mental health status of non-respondents has not been considered for surveys using questionnaires. Therefore, the aim of this study was to clarify the characteristics of non-respondents and respondents. The target population of the survey (FY2011-2013) is people living in the nationally designated evacuation zone of Fukushima prefecture. Among these, the participants were 967 people (20 years or older). We examined factors that affected the difference between the groups of participants (i.e., non-respondents and respondents) using multivariate logistic regression analysis. Employment was higher in non-respondents (p=0.022) and they were also more socially isolated (p=0.047) when compared to respondents; non-respondents had a higher proportional risk of psychological distress compared to respondents (p<0.033). The results of the multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that, within the participants there was a significant association between employment status (OR=1.99, 95% confidence interval [CI]:1.12-3.51) and psychological distress (OR=2.17, 95% CI:1.01-4.66). We found that non-respondents had a significantly higher proportion of psychological distress compared to the respondents. Although the non-respondents were the high-risk group, it is not possible to grasp the complexity of the situation by simply using questionnaire surveys. Therefore, in the future it is necessary to direct our efforts towards the mental health of non-respondents and respondents alike.

I overview the Fast Multipole Method (FMM) and the Barnes-Hut tree method. These algorithms evaluate mutual gravitational interaction between N particles in O(N) or O(N log N) times, respectively. I present basic algorithms as well as recent developments, such as Anderson's method of using Poisson's formula, the use of FFT, and other optimization techniques. I also summarize the current states of two algorithms. Though FMM with O(N) scaling is theoretically preferred over O(N log N) tree method, comparisons of existing implementations proved otherwise. This result is not surprizing, since the calculation cost of FMM scales as O(Np^2) where p is the order of expansion, while that of the tree method scales as O(N log Np).

パーソンズ・ルーマン・ハーバマスの三者は,ともに「象徴的メディア」を扱う共通アリーナにあるので,それぞれの長短を比較・検討することができる.「象徴的」「一般化」「コミュニケーション・メディア」「成果」「操作」という中心概念を置き,三者には,メディアそのものを複雑性縮減,負担解除の装置としてとらえる共通項がある.他方,メディアが生み出す多様性に差がないかどうかを検討する.メディアの記号論,名称,類別,機能と効果,社会分化との関連を,順次検討した.批判的検討を通して,基本的メディア,技術的メディア,個別領域・複合形態でのメディア,の3領域に分けて再編成する可能性を示唆した.メディアと集権化・分権化の関連について問題提起をした。テキストとして,パーソンズ『政治と社会構造』,ハパーマス『コミュニケーション的行為の理論』,ルーマン『社会の社会』を中心にしている.

本研究は熟練ピアニスト(N=8)が連続オクターブ打鍵動作をする際の音量と打鍵テンポが上肢運動制御に及ぼす影響について調べた.全ての音量と打鍵テンポで,指先と鍵盤が接触する瞬間の上肢関節角度は不変であった。音量と打鍵テンポが上肢の運動に及ぼす影響は,それぞれ異なっていた.即ち,より大きな音量の音を作り出す際には近位の身体部位がより多く打鍵動作に用いられたのに対し,より速いテンポで打鍵する際には近位の運動は減少した.したがって我々は,音量調節は「インパルス方略」によって,打鍵テンポ調節は「慣性モーメント方略」によってなされていると提唱した.音量と打鍵打鍵テンポを同時に制御する場合には,ピアニストは主に肘の動きによって打鍵動作を行うという,上記2つの方略の中間の方法を選択することが明らかとなった.

In the context of sociology in Japan, where ethnic homogeneity has been assumed and vernacular culture has rapidly vanished since the end of WWII, it has been usual that the term “diversity” has carried a critical nuance. However, recently, in the age of late modernity, “diversity” has come to be embedded into the logic of global capitalism and the efforts of national and municipal governments that hope to attract fluid multinational companies and a cosmopolitan “creative class”. The author seeks to articulate the meaning of “diversity” in this context, and to point out that what kind of urban practices would be excluded in the recent urban redevelopments that have sought to create cities with diverse urban amenities. This paper examines the paradox that some restrictions on what can be done in the urban space are required to guarantee the diversity in that same urban space.

人間の演奏する主旋律に対してそれと協調する伴奏を計算機が算出しMIDIアコースティツクピアノに演奏させる協調演奏システムを構築し、そのシステムの評価実験を行った。本システムではアコースティツクピアノの特性である0.5秒の遅延をいかに克服するかが問題であり、そのためにリハーサルを用いた。一方その評価手法に関しても検討した。
