The Cao Wei 曹魏 Dynasty was a polity that faced a contradiction between its standing as a bona-fide Chinese dynasty and the reality of the Three Dynasties Period triumvirate. This article examines the idea of an international order envisioned by the Dynasty's founder Emperor Wen 文帝 (Cao Pi 曹丕) and the background to its conceptualization. To begin with, throughout the Later Han Period the relationship between that Dynasty and the peoples on its periphery had changed. In the north, the decline of the Xiongnu 匈奴 saw the rise of the Wuwan 烏丸 and the Xianbei 鮮卑; in the east, there was the establishment of tributary relations with the "Eastern barbarians" (Dongyi 東夷); and in the west, there was a rupture in relations with the kingdoms of the West (Xiyu 西域). Under such circumstances, newly enthroned Emperor Wen decided to follow the precedents set by the diplomacy practiced by an idealized Han Dynasty, focusing on the eras when that Dynasty was most influential in each of the three peripheral regions. Accordingly, in the north, an equestrian nomadic hierarchical order was established placing the emirs of the Wuwan and Xianbei under the Chanyu 單于 of the Xiongnu, as during the reign of Later Han Emperor Shun 順帝; in the east, a system of receiving tribute was set up by giving special treatment to the Gongsun 公孫 Clan regime in Liaodong, which exerted strong influence on such "Eastern barbarian" tribes as the Fuyu 夫餘, in the tradition of Later Han Emperor Guangwu 光武帝; and in the west, Former Han Emperor Yuan's 元帝 Wuji Xiaowei 戊己校尉 military order was reinstituted and Han Dynasty accomplishments in the region compiled, together with efforts to stabilize relations with the region through special treatment of the oasis city state of Jushi Houbuguo 車師後部國, which had caused the original break with the region during the Xin and Later Han Periods. It was in this way that Emperor Wen devoted himself to inheriting the "Han Dynasty international order," although his policies were often at odds with reality. Consequently, it is difficult to conclude that such diplomacy functioned effectively in the midst of uncertainty on all sides of the periphery. That being said, even if not fully in sync with the realities of the situation, there is no doubt that Emperor Wen attempted to gain legitimacy and authority for his Dynasty by assuming a posture of being the successor to the powerful Han Dynasty.

症例はインスリン自己免疫症候群(IAS)と診断された73歳の女性.71歳時に進行直腸癌に対し低位前方切除術を受けた.術後5-FUなどを用いた化学療法を施行した.73歳時に後腹膜再発による回腸浸潤を認め後腹膜転移巣切除と回腸切除を施行した.術後7日目に低血糖昏睡を生じその後毎日低血糖を生じたため術後17日に当科入院となった.低血糖発作時の血糖値は45 mg/dlで血清インスリン305 μIU/ml,インスリン抗体が陽性でScatchard解析の結果k1=0.1135×108 l/mol, b1=1.7×10-8 mol/lと低親和性高結合量の抗体性状を有することからIASと診断した.IgEインスリン抗体も陽性だった.HLA-DRB1*0406, *04051とIAS感受性と抵抗性アリルを併せ持つ稀な型を認めた.低血糖は補食で対応でき約半年で自然軽快した.直腸癌の後腹膜再発・回腸浸潤の手術後にHLA-DRB1*0406, B1*04051に発症したIASは興味深い.本例のIASは回腸手術が誘因の免疫寛容消失が関与した可能性が考えられた.

The generation of a kind of circulatory flow in the separated-flow region of a stalled sweptback wing was noticed. Observation on the circulatory flow was made for a model airplane by using evaported-gas-oil smoke. The presence of a strong lateral outward flow was observed in the considerable range behind the trailing edge of wing-root portions. The effect of the angle of sweep back and taper ratio of a wing on the intensity and direction of the circulatory flow were also investigated.

茨城県つくば市東部を流れる花室川の中流域から,<i>Palaeoloxodon naumanni</i> (Makiyama)の臼歯が発見された.産出層準は,最上部更新統である桜川段丘堆積物に相当する緩斜面堆積物で,約2.7万年前より新しい年代を示す.歯種は左上顎第3大臼歯であり,歯冠長は331mm,咬板数は1/2・22・1/2と,これまでに報告された臼歯の中でも大型であり,特に咬板数は最大であることがわかった.この標本の産出は,<i>P.naumanni</i>の時代的な形態変異を明らかにする上で重要である.

昭和53年に北部九州, その中でも福岡市の上水と筑後川沿岸の農水は, 異常渇水により大きな水不足を経験した。その対策の渇水調整としてダムからの緊急放流が行われた。この一連の経過を紹介し, その反省と今後の課題について述べるとともに, 水問題の一側面について若干の考察を加えた。水不足の記録をとりまとめ, 今後の水問題研究に役立てることを目的としている。

アメリカ合衆国連邦準備制度理事会が刊行する「調査月報」,"Federal Reserve Bulletin"は,毎年7月号(月違いの場合あり)で,全米商業銀行の前年1年問の収益,資産負債構成の動向分折を詳細におこなっている。 本稿で紹介するのは,1993年7月号に掲載された1992年における米銀の動向分析であるが,ここで1980年代後半以降,とりわけ1989年の「金融不況」以降の,米銀が極度の苦境に陥った後の「業績回復過程」を詳しく分析している。筆者にとって,1991年以降の米銀の「復活」をどの様に評価するかは,今後の米銀の動向も含め多角的に検討すべき課題と考えるが,この資料は貴重かつ大いに示唆に富むものであるので,その内容の大枠をここに紹介する次第である。 なお,1980年代の米銀の動向については,金田重喜編著『苦悩するアメリカ産業』(1993年,創風社刊),第8章「アメリカ銀行業の構造変化」(筆者担当執筆)を参照されたい。

Experimental studies for determining the profiles of the wing sections with high maximum lift coefficient is described. Observation of flow around the wing sections and measurement of section lift coefficient are carried out in a twodimensional smoke wind-tunnel. Transition in the boundary layer along the wing surfaces is also observed by using evaporated-gas-oil smoke. Additionally, the wing sections with extended trailing-edge are investigated. Maximum lift coefficient up to 2.28 is obtained at Reynolds number of 5.34×105.

マレーシア政府の東方政策の一環として誕生した、マレーシア人学生に対しての日本の高専留学プログラムは、1983年に1期生の入学から、1999年にはアジア通貨危機のため1年間の学習募集停止をしたが、2009年3月には第25期の修了生を日本へ送り出し、これまでに25年に渡る伝統を持つに至った.現在までに教務運営や教員採用形態も数度の変遷を経て、2009年4月からは、マラ工科大学(UiTM)国際教育センター高専予備教育コース(INTEC, DPT KTJ)へ機関移転した.本機関での理数教科教育は、マレーシア人学生に対してマレーシア予備教育課程の理数教科教育を1年次にマレーシア人教員、日本の高等学校指導範囲を2年次に日本人教員により教育する.日本への留学のための日本語教育と同時に日本語で理数教科教育をも行っている.この特徴の故に生じる課題も多く、その課題への対策授業、さらに日本の高専編入学後を見据えた先取り授業の取組みと、これまで25年間にて数回実施した高専編入学後の追跡調査結果について報告する.

はじめに13; アメリカの銀行業は、金融自由化の過程で1980年代を通じて大きな構造変化を遂げるとともに、銀行経営においては商用不動産融資をはじめとするハイリスク・ハイリターン部面への融資に傾倒し、1989年、1990年の「金融不況」において多大な不良債権を発生させ著しい苦境に陥った1)。しかし、1991年以降のァメリカ経済の復調とそれに続く好景気を背景に、米銀は不良資産の整理といわゆる「リストラクチャリング」を断行して復活を遂げ、以後新たな段階の本稿は、この米銀の復活過程を、米銀の収益動向ならびに資産負債構成の変化を分析することで、その内実を明らかにすることを課題としている。
