現代社会で生活の基本システムである経済活動の社会連関において、言語を道具とした社会的、経済的活動である広告に着目し、日本唯一の広告専門誌「宣伝会議」の1954年から2000年の47年間613冊の全誌における掲載記事の全タイトルに用いられた言葉の出現頻度について、ビブリオメトリー分析を実施した。50年代から90年代にわたる10年期毎に、第2次大戦後の日本の廃墟からの復興と現在に至るまでの経済、産業、社会の変遷を、広告用語を通して、現象論的な特徴を明確にすることを目的に研究を行った。本稿では、広告業のマーケットコミュニケーションを通じての人間社会、環境への適応への貢献の可能性を探るため、企業製品の消費者への宣伝という狭義の広告に止まらず、産業界の発展や、社会情勢を正しく伝えることで、次の10年期への経済・社会動向、企業意識、さらに環境や国際問題等の理解に日本の広告活動が果たしてきた状況について、半定量的なビブリオメトリーで明らかにした結果を報告する。

Situated to the east and the west of the Eurasian continent, the British Isles and Japan both possess cultures with root extending into the distant past. In both areas numerous genealogies have been fashioned from the seventh century, the time from which the first written materials are extant. These genealogies have played a central role in the determination of an awareness of history. This article introduces the Japanese translation of Kathleen Hughes's, The Early Celtic Idea of History and the Modern Historian: An Inaugural Lecture, (Cambridge University Press; Cambridge,1977, 24 pp.). Hughes treats the era during which Christianity, a religion that served on the basis of Celtic culture, was accepted by medieval Ireland. By examining numerous genealogies, Hughes examines the development of historiography. This report introduces Hughes's work in order foster a better understanding from a comparative perspective of the culture of genealogies and the development of historical writings in Japan.

The bullet-firing test was done in the different velocity and collision angle of the bullet. The effect of its velocity and angle on the deformation shape after firing was discussed by comparison with experiment and simulation. The velocity of the bullet was chosen in several kinds of speed ranges at 80m/s-250m/s. As for the angle of incidence with the collision object, four kinds of angles 90°(head-on collision), 45°, 30°, and 60°were set.

In this paper, we aim to manipulate user's perceived shape of a curved surface by using pseudo-haptics in projection-based mixed reality. We investigate how we can change the shape which a user feels when touching a curved surface with an index finger, by projecting his/her shifted hand image onto the user's own hand. We performed experiments to investigate the effects of pseudo-haptics and evaluated their influences. The results showed that the shape which the participants perceived was deformed from the actual shape they touched. The results prove the possibility for manipulating user's perceived shape of a curved surface by using pseudo-haptics in projection-based mixed reality.

The creep behaviors for "Dangos," which were prepared with various particle sizes of non-glutinous rice powder and were stored at 0 and 25℃ for 1 and 24h, were measured in the temperature range of 10 to 55℃. The apparent activation energies, ΔH_a, and fractional free volumes, f_0, were calculated, then these parameters were compared with those obtained from glutinous one. The values of ΔH_a for "Dangos" prepared with non-glutinous rice powders were smaller and the values of f_0 were larger than those with glutinous rice powders with any particle size. "Dango" prepared with 150-200 mesh of non-glutinous rice powder possessed the maximal ΔH_a and minimal f_0 ,it was independent of storage temperature (0℃, 25℃) and storage time (1h, 24h), as same as glutinous one stored at 0℃. These results suggested that "Dango" prepared with coarse powder possessed the porous structure resulted in the presence of clump of particulated aggregates. While, "Dango" prepared with 150-200 mesh powder had a fine packed structure. The structure of "Dango" prepared with glutinous rice powders was finer than that with non-glutinous one.

文化女子大学図書館では1950年の開館以来,「服飾」という特定主題の文献を網羅的に収集し,教育支援機関であるとともに,専門図書館の機能も果たしてきている。そのため,本学学生以外にも他大学学生,研究者,企業関係者,卒業生などにも広範に利用されている。特に,この稿では司書の専門的書誌学の自己研鑽と稀覯本に対する的確な見識の元で収集された西洋服飾関連コレクション構築の経緯とそれらを組織化し,体系化して作成された服飾文献目録の変遷について取り上げる。併せて,西洋服飾関連資料収集に不可欠な海外の服飾関係文献目録についても解説する。
