最近,VDT(visual display terminal)作業や長時間の単一作業が原因で,肩凝りや肩腕痛を訴える人が増加している.これらの頸部や肩腕部の頸肩腕障害に対する治療方法の一つとして,入浴や入湯によって患部を温める温浴療法がある.温浴の心・血管系に及ぼす影響についての研究はこれまでにも行われているが,温浴が筋硬度や筋疲労度に与える効果についての研究は見当たらない.そこで,僧帽筋に対する温浴の効果を,筋硬度計で測定した筋硬度と,表面筋電図から得られるmean power frequency (Fm) を指標に用い,13 人の大学生を対象に検討した.湯温を40℃に設定した浴槽に,肩部が全て浸かるように10 分間入浴し,入浴前を対照に,出浴後60 分間にわたって15 分毎に筋硬度と表面筋電図を測定し解析した.全被験者を対象にすると,入浴前の筋硬度とFm の間に相関は認められなかったが,被験者のうちで筋硬度が平均値より高い群では負の相関が認められ,筋の硬さが増すほどFm は低周波化した.Fm は筋疲労に伴って低周波領域にshift(slowing)するので,筋硬度の高い群では筋疲労が相対的に強く起こっていると考えられる.温浴は筋硬度を入浴前に比べて25%も減少させて筋を軟らかくし,出浴後60 分においてもなお6%低値を示した.入浴前後でFm の有意な変化は全被験者対象では認められなかったが,入浴前のFm が平均値より低い群では出浴直後にFm が3%上昇し,出浴後60 分まで高値を維持した. Fm が低い群では温浴により血液循環が促進され蓄積された代謝産物が除去されたことによって筋疲労が改善されたものと推測された.

The purpose of this study is to report "the circulatory disturbances in the fingers of baseball players", and to analyze those of the tendency and the rate of incidences as each area by the administration of a questionnaire. It also researches the influences of external environments of the position, the practice, and the temperature and so on. The questionnaires were conducted on 274 players belong to the baseball club of 6 high school attached to Tokai University. According to questionnaires, 76 players (27.7%) were aware of circulatory disturbances in their fingers. The circulatory disturbances in the fingers is caused by the hyperextension of the throwing fingers as the repetition of throwing performance and the mechanical stress of catching the ball as the repetition of catching performance. As a characteristic of positions, the catchers and the infielders tend to be aware a tingling and numbness in their catching index fingers, the pitchers throw with index and middle fingers. The various factors such as their position, practice time, teaching technique seem to be relative causing the appearances of circulatory disturbances in the fingers, but air temperature didn't seem to be related.

クライストの最後の戯曲『公子ホンブルク』Prinz Friedrich von Homburg (1811)ほど,毀誉褒貶に曝されてきた作品は珍しい。今でこそドイツ悲劇の規範(カノン),ドイツ演劇の定番(レバートリー)としての地位はいささかも揺がないが,評価の変遷を逐一辿ろうとすると(半ば史実に基づかれていることもあって),それはドイツ近現代史を裏側からなぞるに等しいという由々しい事態を伴っている。受容と反発,賞賛と非難の歴史的経緯は,全集の解説や注釈に詳しいところだが,その契機の軸になってきたのは,第四幕の死の恐怖Todesangstと,第一幕冒頭の主人公によって見られた夢の場面Traumwandlungであった。騎兵隊を率いて選帝侯Friedrich Wilhelmの麾下にある一人の公子が,翌日に大きな戦いを控えながらブランデンブルクの城を背景にした夜の庭園にさ迷い込んで,夢に耽けってしまう-その現場を選帝侯以下宮中の面々に目撃される。舞台はそこから幕が上がり,ドラマの一切はこの時主人公によって微睡(まどろ)まれた夢をめぐって展開してゆく。その意味で夢は作劇上の一つの重要なモチーフとなっているが,それだけに終らず後述するように最終場において当の夢がそっくり舞台(現実)に再現されることで,ドラマの主題そのものに深く関わってゆくのである。そこでここでは劇作家クライストに置ける<夢>の問題を考えつつ,いわゆる夢遊Somnambulismusにライトを当て,そうした方向からあらためて作品のテーマを考察してみたい。もっぱら夢という視点から当作品を照射・分析してみようというこの新しい試みは,それなりに作品解読の一つのヒントになり得ると考えるからだ。

Princess Nukata (630〜715 or more), one of the greatest poetesses in Japan, was a priestess in the Court. Her first poem (Manyo, No. 7) remaining in the Manyo-shu (万葉集) is a tanka (a Japanese ode with 31 syllables) reciting yrically her dear recollection of the cottage life in her adolescence when the ritual of the priestesses-in-Court was held at Udi (宇治) in 644 A. D. They thatched the hut with spiritual miscanthus which they had cut for themselves upon the beautiful autumn field. There in the mysterious cottage, she probably, as a hostess-of-god, accepted Prince Ohoshiama(大海人) as a guest-god, conceiving Princess Toiti (十市). Her second poem (M., No. 9) was made in 659 when the amily of the Queen Saimei (斉明) visited the spa of Ki (紀) located at the sea-side with scenic beauty. This tanka has been very famous for its enigmatical letters giving hitherto no satisfactory solution. According to my decipherment, the uzzling poetry reads as follows : Thou shalt keep serene, oh, the Calm Sea! Th' My Crown Prince might stand under the oly Oak To perform the Archery Rite divining New Year. When the capital was removed to Afumi (近江) on the Lake Biwa (琵琶湖) in 667, the King Tenti (天智) ordered her to make odes (M., No. 17,18,19) for the chorus to pacify the master-spirit of Mt. Miwa (三輪山), standing by the old capital. We find with interest, in those odes of hers, flattery to the awful master of the mountain and high-handed attitude to the less dire spirit of the hanging clouds. With respect to her lineage of much doubtfulness, the diagram shown on the next page is my speculative proposal to be repared for the settlement.

After bearing up against the successive humiliating experiences through his boyhood and youth till he made his debut as a popular writer in "Pickwick Papers," Charles Dickens had been running up a ladder of success with lively steps ; and it is "David Copperfield," his half-autobiography, that at the point of reaching the very pinnacle of worldly success, he produced composedly, remembering his following a thorny path in his younger days. Therefore, it may be said as a matter oi course that the whole of the novel is gently coloured by 'tranquil brightness.' But this remark only explains the garment enveloping this book. I should say that we ought not overlook the fact that a sensation of resistance as compensation singularly expanded in the mind of Dickens, as natural results of his keen sensibility receiving an incurable severe wound from great hardships in his boyhood, and that it casts its gigantic shadow on all of his works including this book. In "David Copperfield," it seems to me that the author's anti-social sentiment rises to the surface more distinctly than the other books, for it is incarnated through his rare mental condition like beautiful St. Martin's summer. And Uriah Heep is an image which was shaped through the process of this being condensed. He has a stubborn hostile feeling against the world arising from his extreme self-love, that is, 'vicious narcissism.' On his above-mentioned mental attitude steadfastly constructed from the miserable experiences in his boyhood, the image of the author's same one is thrown ; and accordingly, the more diabolical he grows, the more frantically the author's hidden desire to revenge blazes. Nevertheless, Dickens's fiery sentiment as this is destined to be suppressed by force, for where symmetry or harmony is disturbed art never crystallizes. Such being the case, Uriah Heep, furious as he is, isfinally left out in the cold as a barnacle. I infeJ that after all he is only invested with the function as an object of the author's intense satire and hatred, from the following matter : David Copperfield, a hero of this book, who is the author's alter ego and a model of diligence and sincerity, gives a crushing defeat to Uriah in gradually capturing Agnes Wickfield, the mirror of virtue, by his enchantment. And at the same time it sounds natural to me that the wild passions whirling around inside the too much vigorous author gush out into the tone of the descriptions of him as stated above.

本研究は、近代初の一工事専従の国家的組織である皇居造営事務局について、建築技術者の人員編成における近世大工組織との関係を検討するものである。特に、製図等の実務を担当した図工に注目し、宮内庁書陵部所蔵史料により、明治21年の残務掛廃止までに在籍した62名の採用・就業状況、出自、退職後の異動先を検討し、同時期に進捗した東本願寺造営の関係者や、大工家出身の専任技師の兄弟・子弟の採用が目立つこと、退職後は半数以上が省庁等の専任技術者に着任し、図工の経歴が設計職としての足掛かりになったことを指摘した。また、宮大工出身の手中千代太郎を例に、日記から採用経緯や職務の具体像を明らかにした。

スポーツが原因で生じる外傷に対し、その予防法を確立するためには、骨組織の衝撃破壊特性を明らかにすることが必要である。破壊じん性試験は、準静的から高速領域のひずみ速度下でウシの骨から採取されたコンパクトテンション試験片を用いて実行した。骨の破壊機構は繊維強化複合材料のモデルを用いて検討した。二つの仮説を証明するために破断面の走査型電子顕微鏡による観察を実施した。我々の提案は以下の通りである。湿潤骨試験片の線維強化機構は、ひずみ速度によって、ブリッジング、プルアウトそして線維強化無効の3つの領域に分けられる。マイクロクラック強化機構は高速負荷領域ε=1.2×10^2_s^<-1>において母相に働く。

外来植物セイタカアワダチソウが侵入したことで,絶滅危惧種オオルリシジミや希少な食糞性コガネムシの生息環境がどのような影響を受けたかについて節足動物相を調査することで解明を試みた.また,草原生態系における捕食‐被食関係の解明の一環として,希少な草原性の食糞性コガネムシや土壌節足動物に関する調査を実施するとともに,捕食-被食関係を調査し,オオルリシジミを中心とした食物網を解明した.また,セイタカアワダチソウが侵入した環境において,除草の効果を評価した.研究期間中,阿蘇山の噴火や熊本地震により調査地が被害を受け,当初計画した一部の研究は実施ができないなどの問題も生じたが研究成果の公表に努力した.

本研究では、柔道選手の競技能力及び形態・体力と遺伝子多型の関連性を明らかにすることを目的とした。男子大学柔道選手216名の alpha Actinin 3(ACTN3)、アンジオテンシン変換酵素(ACE)、インスリン様成長因子(IGF-2)など10個の遺伝子多型について解析した。さらに対象者は形態および体力測定を半年に1回実施し、最高競技成績に基づいて競技力を決定した。その結果、ACTN3及びACE遺伝子多型と柔道の競技力の関連性は認められなかったが、IGF2遺伝子多型は競技力との関連性が認められた。またACTN3及びIGF2遺伝子多型は一部の筋力関連項目との関連性が認められた。

Rechargeable batteries are in fashion as energy sources for electronic appliances such as mobile phones and lap-top computers. Lithium ion secondary batteries are one of the most promising energy devices. In this review, the current research on lithium ion secondary batteries was briefly described, and especially, the problems and future prospects of the cathode materials were presented.

Recently, high speed data, video or multimedia information rapidly increase in their quantities in digital networks. These information is mainly transmitted using burst type transfer methods such as packet communication, frame relay, cell relay and IP (Internet Protocol) datagram transmission. These transmission systems are required to have higher bit rate and shorter dely time. This paper proposes a new transfer system named information rate switching system, which aims to achieve higher average bit rate and shorter average delay time than ARQ (automatic repeat request) system. In this system, Information bit rate is switched to decrease or increase the information bit rate whether errors occur or not during information receiving and delay time is decreased by eliminating repeat request function. Other two systems, one is the matrix arrangement system which is formerly proposed by the authors and the other is the existent ARQ system, are treated, and the characteristics of these three systems are compared theoretically and numerically from the stand points of correctly received average transfer bit rate and average delay time which are defined as evaluation criterion. Obtained results demonstrate that proposed system is very useful for burst transfer system and the other two systems have their own application coverage.

Eugenics can be defined as a science which deals with the improvement of hereditary qualities of human beings through scientific breeding. Today, facing the new age of scientifc technology, particularly life-manipulating technology, we feel an urgent need to pay attention to the historical significance of eugenics once more. For from this word, eugenics, we are reminded of the Nazi's inhumane cruel act, which we should absolutely not repeat in the future. It's quite natural for us to condemn the Nazis for their crimes, but on the other hand, as a backdrop, we must clarify objectively what eugenics was and how it originated in Europe about the turn of the century. Ernst Haeckel (1834-1919), a famous zoologist from Germany, was also well known as a social Darwinist and played an important role at an early stage in the history of eugenics. From the abovc-mentioned viewpoint, this paper will examine his eugenic thought and clarify its characteristics.

対人援助においてなぜ他者の理解が必要なのか、それはどのような援助的意味を持つのか。あるいは、他者の理解とは何をどうすることなのか。それは具体的な援助技術としてどのように可能なのか。また、その技術を身につけるには、どのような教育と訓練を必要とするのか。これらの根本的な問いに答えるために、この研究では現象学的なアプローチで援助者とクライエントの関係性を研究し、対人援助における専門的な援助関係の中での「他者の理解」の意味と特性を解明することを試みた。結論として、対人援助における他者の理解は、援助者とクライエントとの専門的な援助関係の相互作用、循環性、固有性に基づき、援助者とクライエントの相互理解の状態を実現することから、クライエントに最適の援助を構成するために、そして理解されると人は生きる意欲を回復するゆえに重要であることが明らかにされた。
