Mating, the spawning cycle, embryonic development and growth of the white spotted bamboo shark, Chiloscyllium plagiosum, were observed in an aquarium. Mating, which continued for about five minutes, was observed twice in February and May, 1993. Premating behavior included the male shark swimming with the female for thirty minutes, biting the pectoral fin of the latter. From spring to summer, two eggs were deposited at each spawning, the latter occurring every 6 or 7 days on average. After mating, the female shark was separated from the male. Fertilized eggs were produced for about two to five months after copulation, apparently due to sperm storage and delayed fertilization. The average hatching period was 128.2 days. The total length and weight of young at birth averaged 16.6 mm, and 15.5 g, respectively, the former reaching 30 cm after one year.

本研究は, サウンドスケープの視点から都市空間の諸特徴を把握し, 究極的には音を配慮した都市環境整備の在り方に関する計画的示唆を得ることを目的とした。スタディーエリアとしては, 長い歴史のある都市空間であり, 福岡市の中心部に位置する博多部を取り上げた。調査・研究の結果, 音を配慮した都市空間整備の在り方を考える場合, 騒音規制という側面からのアプローチだけでなく, その地域の特有な文化, 伝統そして自然を基調とした音を保存することと共に, 音とフィジカルな都市空間との係わりを基調にした音の演出 (活用) に関する研究プログラムの樹立の必要性が認識できた。

ヒトヘルペスウイルス6(HHV-6)の潜伏感染タンパクSmall protein encoded by the Intermediate stage Transcript of HHV-6(SITH)-1をマウスアストロサイトに発現させることでうつ様行動を引き起こした。その脳で遺伝子発現を調べたところ、炎症性サイトカインの変化はなかった。一方、気分障害患者では血液中炎症性サイトカインmRNA発現とうつ症状は相関を示した。以上より、中枢神経と末梢血での遺伝子発現は必ずしも一致せず、末梢での炎症反応が波及的に中枢神経に影響し、SITH-1発現を誘導することでうつ症状を引き起こす可能性が考えられた。

This paper describes a method of making mesh models for large-scale full-wave analysis of electromagnetic fields by the finite element method with an iterative domain decomposition method using numerical human body models. Numerical human body models by National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) composed by the voxel data with all sides of 2mm include skins, blood vessels, bones etc. and internal organs distinguishing with the material flag. The user can evaluate electromagnetic filed distribution inside the body using NICT numerical human models. A stationary vector wave equation for the 3D full-wave electromagnetic field analysis is solved taking an electric field as an unknown function. The mesh is efficiently divided by using the domain decomposition data structure when elements of 200 million or more are generated from the voxel data of NICT numerical human body models. The mesh generation method corresponds to a past 32-bit I/O library in the ADVENTURE System. Numerical analyses are done using torso models and whole body models. The results prove that our method can precisely predict the distribution of the electromagnetic field in human bodies inside.

本研究では、弁当箱の色彩が与える印象について、とくに性差に焦点をあててその差異について明らかにする。具体的には、実際に幼児が持ってくる弁当箱の色彩と形状を調査し、さらにお弁当箱の色彩が与える印象評価に関する尺度を作成し、性別、日常品の色彩の嗜好性を変数に検定を行う。その結果、弁当 箱の色彩感覚尺度として 4 因子を抽出することができた。4因子の得点に性差は見られなかったものの、現状調査の結果から赤・ピンク色の弁当箱を持ってくる女児が有意に多く、女性がピンクを好んでいることを示した。

本研究では,製品の色の嗜好を,上の「事物の介在による選好の変化」という観点から検討する.ここでは,色そのものに対して持つ「選好」と,どういう色の製品を好むかという「嗜好」との違いに注目し,両者の一致度が各条件でどのように異なるかを調べた.調査では,まず色だけについての選好を被験者に尋ね,さらに,冷蔵庫・ノートパソコン・スマートフォンを対象として,色の嗜好を調べて,「色自身の選好」と「製品の色についての嗜好」を比較した.その結果,「選好」と「嗜好」の一致度は,製品によって異なるのみならず,男性と女性の間でも差があることが示唆された.とくに,女性は男性に比べて,製品が「身に付けるもの」かどうかが,色の選好と製品色の嗜好の一致度に影響している傾向が見られた.
